Came for dinner before a show at Pear Theater (also a great visit!). Gorgeous interior and friendly staff. The patio has chandeliers: fun! All our dishes were delicious (a little salty, maybe). Our waiter paired our dishes with great mocktails.

4.5 Stars! Food was delicious! Service was amazing, especially considering we were a large group of 14 (There was a dedicated server off to the side at all times for us.), ambiance is high-end & upscale for sure, which you might not think at first due to the exterior. But it's beautiful inside. There is a mandatory tip for all groups, which is not uncommon for high-end restaurants.

It was okay. Inside was pretty clean, we did like how it looked and was kept. The food was alright for what it is. We got the Mango salad, Burrata, Chicken penne pasta and Fettuccine duck. Both pasta were fairly tasty. The salad was ok at best. Just tasted out of a bag from a grocery. The Burrata is hard to mess up so it was fine. Service was nice but not efficient at all. Please say hello to all customers. Although our server did greet us, he ignored the younger guy behind us multiple times. And the same main server only came by our table to drop off food. It was difficult to get his attention. This makes no sense when the whole restaurant only had three tables full. Private lot in back.

Loved having dinner here! The venue is beautiful and the service was excellent! We ordered the Sausage and Honey Flatbread and a Greens & Apples salad with salmon - they were both delicious and prepared well! We also ordered a mango margarita, and it was really refreshing! Would absolutely return here!

Amazing customer care by Christine Schoonover, GM at Cucina Venti & Silicon Valley Corporate Catering. I truly admire an establishment that listens to feedback and stands behind the level of service and experience one expects from fine dining. I had originally taken a fellow foodie friend to Cucina Venti for her birthday in December 2025, as we love trying new restaurants together. Unfortunately, that visit was a bit of a letdown--likely due to the busy holiday season. Christine personally reached out, took the time to listen to my feedback, and graciously invited me back. This past Saturday, I returned--and I'm so glad I did. Our server, Henry, was pleasant and attentive. We started with the Sausage & Honey Flatbread--delicious, though slightly spicy from the serrano peppers--and the beet salad, which was fresh and flavorful. For mains, we enjoyed the Halibut Filet (excellent for seafood lovers), Mary's Chicken, and the Seafood Paella. Everything was well-prepared, beautifully plated, and very enjoyable. The paella was flavorful; just note it doesn't feature the traditional Spanish socarrat--that delicate, golden crust some may expect. Thank you to Christine and the entire team at Cucina Venti for a lovely and redeeming dining experience!

Amazing find. This place is upscale. The interior is beautiful so dress up. The food is bomb!! Very delish. The entire group raved about everything that we ordered. Drinks are great. The bartender definitely knows how to make good drinks. They don't do substitutions so if you have food intolerance this may not be the place for you. They offer a free cake piece for your birthday. Good to know: their inside sits only 18+ and outside is 10+. We found out after reaching there. Luckily we had everyone 10+ aged kids.

Cucina Venti is a fairly good restaurant option near where I work and it's within walking distance to the Shashi hotel. It's an upscale italian restaurant and I've been there for small team dinners as well as large group dinners. The food tends to be overpriced for the taste, but the ambiance of the restaurant is great and the service is pretty good. The last time I was here was with 2 other people and we got angel hair pasta, ravioli, and the watermelon feta salad with arugula. The pastas were good, but the watermelon feta salad lacked seasoning and flavor.

Cucina Venti offers an ambiance that is truly one of a kind, elevated, warm, and undeniably memorable. It has an indulgent, polished vibe that makes the experience feel special the moment you walk in. Their wine selection is solid and pairs nicely with the menu, and the service was very attentive throughout the evening. The food was good and nicely elevated, but it didn't quite reach that "spectacular" level you might expect at this price point. The dishes seem to lean more into the indulgent atmosphere rather than delivering standout culinary moments. Overall, it is a beautiful spot and a unique dining experience that is hard to come by, but it does feel overpriced for what you receive. If you are going for the ambiance, thoughtful service, and the occasion, it is worth a visit, just know the experience may outshine the food.

Came on a Saturday evening, we made reservations so no wait. When we got there, we were seated right away. The interior of the restaurant is very beautiful, ambiance is romantic as well The server was so sweet and kept checking in on us. Great service! Food: Complimentary bread 1. Appetizer: Spanish octopus, not bad 7/10 2. Mushroom ravioli: amazing, this was very delicious, probably one of the best mushroom ravioli I had. The flavors were balanced, very savory and creamy 10/10 3. Fettuccine with duck confit: very unique dish, the cream sauce was a bit heavy 7.5/10 It was a birthday celebration and there was a little card on the table that says Happy Birthday on it. And they surprised us with a small piece of chocolate cake which was a super sweet gesture. Overall had a fantastic time and will definitely come back!

Hidden gem, located in a strip mall, walking distance from The Shoreline, which makes it a great venue for dinner before a show. We had a reservation for 10 people and was seated immediately upon arriving. Ambience and decor was stunning. Very upscale which explains the wedding pics I saw when searching this place. Service was perfect. Jeannie was the sweetest, kindest, most knowledgeable gal we could've hoped for. The rest of the staff was really nice too. We were offered still or sparkling water upon being seated. The little complimentary breads which you get 2 of are heavenly with a hint of rosemary. Wanted more but we had alot of food coming so we didn't ask. Calamari: big pieces, lightly fried Cesar salad: big pieces which I prefer chopped, nice a crisp tho Fettuccine carbonara: creamy, flavorful Harris Ranch Short Ribs: Delicious, tender Black truffle risotto: Rich, creamy, hearty Fettuccini pescatore: spicy, lotsa seafood Summer Spritz: yum! Old Fashion: great! New Fashioned: very good! Stunning presentation, get it! No room for dessert, but someone in our group got the tiramisu and it looked good.

Honestly, I liked everything about this place other than the food and drinks. It's kind of odd to say that about a restaurant but, it is what it is. The service and white linen tablecloths, tall green hedges, and decor were really lovely. It's hard to believe that you're located in the middle of a mall next to a dilapidated abandoned building. The salad was actually pretty good but the $26 cocktail was a complete miss. The $49 seafood pasta was ok but not al dente and not enough fish. I'm sure some things on the menu are better than others but for my one and only time there is was definitely a miss.

I'm honestly surprised this restaurant doesn't have a better average rating because our experience was exceptional. Firstly the ambiance is very upscale, I mean can you ever have too many chandeliers? We had a large party and shared a variety of appetizers. The grilled octopus salad was super delicious and cooked really well. The calamari was also crispy and not overly chewy. For my main I had the scallops and they were absolutely divine. One of the best dishes I've had in awhile. The other things that stood out was how amazing the staff was. A water glass never empty, empty dishes cleared promptly, and great knowledge of the menu and recommendations. They even expedited a dessert since we had to head out shortly. The cocktails were also really nice. It's definitely a more upscale restaurant but I'd come here on a special occasion in a heart beat! Hope to back again soon.

We were in need of a place to do an early new year's celebration with our folks. So we looked around to see which places still had tables and luckily we got reservations here at Cucina Venti Restaurant. In short, lovely service, with delicious food that melts in your mouth great place for any kind of celebration, but take note and make sure to call in for inside versus outside seating. L O C A T I O N Cucina Venti Restaurant is located in Mountain View off of 101 in this tiny plaza near the Computer History Museum. I actually have been to this area before and didn't realize there was a restaurant here. There is parking but could be challenging if it's a busy night. I N S I D E We didn't really get to see the inside too much as unfortunately our reservation was for outdoor seating. It is a little dark inside with mood lighting, but it is quite pretty in there. There's only 1 restroom unfortunately which is the drawback of this place. I had to stand in a line to use it and some folks took quite some time in there. Funny enough, I went in and out so quickly that the person that was next said many thanks to me for being so efficient and quick. O U T S I D E D I N I N G It was December/January so it was a bit chilly. There are outdoor heating lamps which depending on the angle you're sitting could be burning or too far. Luckily it wasn't too bad. It is covered except on the sides. M E N U A variety of options as well as specials which is nice. We opted to get the lamb chops and the halibut and our other family members got the filet mignon and scallops. I remember the lamb being some of the best lamb I've had. It was perfectly cooked and quite flavorful without being gamey. The halibut was tender, flakey and a perfect complement to the meat we were having. Our family members devoured their food. I was actually amazed they finished it all! Dessert was just okay. I don't think I was super impressed with any of the desserts we got. But they were nice to share with everyone. S E R V I C E Service was top notch and upscale. We were treated quite well. Water was also refilled as well as the bread! O V E R A L L We had a pretty good experience with the food. I didn't realize this place existed and glad we were able to go here with family to celebrate. Though the seating and restroom experiences could've been better, the food and service were great. I would highly recommend trying them out and going for a celebration or just treating yourself!

As a speakeasy enthusiast myself I definitely agree to the fact that it is "hidden" but also it does kinda give corporate vibes a little bit - maybe we can say they "gentrified" the speakeasy experience which is honestly so funny for Palo Alto. But anyways I don't think a classification should stop you from visiting it. The food is actually surprisingly really good. We came with a pescatarian and honestly while the offerings for snacks were a bit slim, every option was really good. I feel like this was the first time where I understood the price even the the quantity is no where close to be desired. One shrimp is like $6 and I was like whoah. Service is definitely more laid back and it's overall just like a more chill atmosphere. I'm fortunate to work nearby so I'll definitely visit this place a few times after work to blow off some steam... And the drinks! Yes they are good! They are also quite strong! Most of it was delicious, a couple were just meh (katsu was not anything special, not was the duck meatball). Other than that, and over all, would highly recommend this spot in general. I came here recently with three girlfriends, and we shared a variety of dishes, all 5/5! * Avocado Dip + Plantain chips: great combo with plantain chips instead of usual tortilla chips * Wood-fired Eggplant + Carrot hummus, Tzatziki: adored the carrot hummus! * Shrimp Salad - absolutely delicious with crispy shrimp, avocado, quinoa, mandarins in a lime-herb vinaigrette. Outstanding. * Disco Fries: not your average French fries! Loved the pork sausage and pickled red onions, wonderfully tart savory flavor. *Sautéed green beans - next level green beans with a creamy vinaigrette and chopped cashews *Grilled Corn: spiced coconut, cotija and tajin. Delicious! *Red Pepper Bread: melts in your mouth I think we finished everything we couldn't help ourselves. It was so delicious! Really didn't have much room for dessert, but we had to splurge and check it out so we decided to share two plates: *Pandan Flan: I love flan, and this was phenomenal! The pandan caramel paired perfectly with the yogurt crème, and the coconut rice crunch and strawberries added texture. And, the plating was fabulous! *Mango Sticky Rice: the presentation alone was incredible. Best I've ever had. Next level! This is a must! To go along with the incredible food is a beautiful atmosphere that you just want to sit and save her. We had exceptional service as well. I honestly cannot wait to go back. Definitely worth getting the umami fries as they were seasoned to perfection. A perfect starting side! Horsefeather is a perfect brunch spot to stop by and try in this Old Town and Country Palo Alto plaza. I have never heard of this chain nor in their other locations before and was definitely satisfied afterwards with their great dishes and their aesthetically modern decorated interior. The dishes here are American so you'd get what you typically get for breakfast from scrambles to French Toast, and we ordered the French Toast, the Chicken and Waffles, and a Salad during our visit here. All of what was ordered was perfect and beautifully plated upon arrival and out of all that was ordered, I have to say the chicken and waffles with their matcha butter & syrup was their standout dish. I have never seen matcha infused with butter but it was perfect and complimented the waffle just right. The chicken was fried and juicy inside and the waffle in general was toasted with just the right amount of crisp on the outside and soft interior. French Toast was a definite close contender too, where the toast was still gooey soft as expected and served with syrup & cream on the side. Salad was good but nothing too extraordinary about it. The staff here were all very nice and on a busy lunch day, I was surprised & pretty sure just lucky was able to get a table in less than 10 min on a Sunday. For weekend brunch, Horsefeather is a perfect spot to visit & enjoy the pre-afternoon before enjoying Palo Alto. I would highly recommend checking this place out and will definitely be back for more.

It wasn't a huge issue, but a little more spacing would have made the dining experience feel more comfortable. Overall, the food and service were great.

Sherry Braised Pork Shank - The meat was tender and easily pulled off the bone, and the polenta it came with was rich and perfectly creamy. Smoked Salmon & Caviar - A bit too salty for my taste, so this one didn't quite hit compared to the others. The meat dishes were definitely worth it, especially with the generous portions. Overall, a good dinner option if you're in the area or staying nearby -- not necessarily a destination spot, but an easy choice.

Unfortunately, we left regretting that decision. From the start, the experience felt unwelcoming when we were seated with our 3-year-old daughter. There was no single overtly disrespectful moment, but the overall tone and repeated small interactions made us feel like we were being judged for having a child with us. At one point, when our daughter accidentally dropped her fork while playing, the reaction we received came across as frustration, which added to that feeling. We understand not every restaurant is designed for young children, but Broma presents itself as a place for friends and family. Instead, we felt like we had to constantly manage and overcorrect normal toddler behavior, which created stress and took away from what should have been a special occasion. Because of that, we didn't feel comfortable raising concerns during the meal when the server checked in--we were more focused on getting through the experience without drawing additional attention. We were also offered an off-menu item without any mention of price. The menu we were given did not list the smash burger, so when I ordered a double, I had no context for the cost. The final price was a surprise, and we would have made a different decision with that information upfront. The food itself did not match the price point. The "smash burger" was not prepared in the style typically expected, and overall the meal felt underwhelming for the cost. Lastly, the billing was confusing. The paper receipt listed "gratuity," while the digital receipt labeled the same charge as a "service charge," making it unclear whether an additional tip was expected. That lack of clarity does not align with the level of transparency expected at this price point. We don't mind paying for a great experience, especially for meaningful occasions, but this visit did not meet that standard and ultimately left us regretting our choice to celebrate here.

The cocktail menu is inspired by records, and you can feel the creativity in every sip. These aren't your standard bar pours -- they're clearly thought out and crafted with personality. If you're someone who appreciates a drink with a story behind it, you'll be in your element here. The live DJ on weekends takes the whole experience to another level. The music isn't background noise -- it's part of the atmosphere, and it hits right. What makes this place truly special is that you're getting two completely different vibes under one roof. Walk into Still OG up front and you get a casual, laid-back energy -- easy conversation, good company, no pretension. Then slip into the speakeasy in the back and the whole mood shifts. Alter Ego is a proper intimate lounge with their full bar, and it feels like a world away from the street outside. The transition between the two spaces is surprisingly seamless and genuinely fun to experience. And they're open late, which puts them in a rare category of places actually worth staying out for. Whether you're there for a chill night out or a proper evening, this place delivers both without making you choose.

Can still remember the gourmet dogs and duck fat fries back in the days... Awesome what they did to the place. The new set up with the dim lights and neon menu is noice. Ended up chilling at the front bar. Definitely will return to explore the back at a later time. Food: A We got to sample a variety of goodies and drinks from the menu, which definitely hit the spot. The skewers were cooked just right with a kiss of smoke from the grill. The takoyaki were good as expected--yum. We ended the excursion with the milk bread; it was surely a crowd-pleaser. It was fluffy goodness, topped with furikake, and served with a side of decadent house butter. Drinks were perfectly crafted and refreshing. Service: A We were chilling at the bar and got to hang with staff. Cool folks, will be back. - John

As for food, beef carpaccio and Caesar salad were excellent. As a group we ordered duck breast, Misoyaki black cod, lamb shanks and I ordered the Nero royale linguine. Mine was good, but in all honesty I enjoyed the bite of all the other dishes way more. The linguine just didn't have the complexity of the other dishes. As for cocktails, as a group, which I had taste of each, we had the flowers old-fashioned, kiwi do you love me, Stone fruit sour, garden of Eden, bottle service and day at the spa mocktail. All were good and their own right. The cherry on top was we came for our 29th Anniversary, but didn't say anything until we got here. They made it special despite being notified last minute, wow! Of course dessert didn't disappoint either.

Service is great and I especially love the plates and utensils they have. Beets salad: it has yellow and red beets. This is a great starter for beets lovers! Steak appetizers: it has tender steak bites. The seasoning is a little sweet more like Korean bbq flavor. Lobster risotto: the lobster is juicy. The risotto is very al dente. I prefer creamier risotto consistency. Lamb chops: it's juicy and well seasoned. I especially like the side potatoes that's crispy and flavorful. The restaurant opened at 5 pm and by 5:30 pm it's already filled up. Definitely make a reservation before you plan to come.

My husband and I had a baby free night out to celebrate my birthday and haberdasher did not disappoint. I was even wished a happy early birthday. When going into the bar, you walk down a staircase into a space that makes you forget you're in downtown San Jose with beautiful reds and burgundy decor. The staff is all smartly dressed; the bartender and bar back were both sweet and funny. I ordered a jack rose (my all time favorite), their seasonal watermelon waltz (this may be a new favorite for me, nice and refreshing) and one of their zero proof cocktails called a Mariposa which was soooo good as well. Memorable drinks were the perfect pear and the Andean Ascent. Perfect pear was not fruity at all and had a nice aroma and spice to it. The Andean ascent was a nice drink to start with, refreshing with a bit of fizz.
