Me and my sisters decided to try this place for a night cap and desserts. First , When you walk in the place is very fancy and well decorated. Very nice outdoor patio with heaters and the service and staff were nice. Once we sat down, we changed our mind and wanted to take a look at the menu. We decided to get some appetizers so we got the mushroom flatbread and the zucchini rolls. Both items not great at all! The Trader Joe's mushroom flatbread is like 10 times better and 1/8 of the price! Extremely overpriced and may have been OK if the food was actually decent, but it tasted like they popped it out of the freezer and warmed it up. We decided to order two drinks so the waiter said that they had a special going on for a passionfruit margarita. They brought us two drinks in a tiny cup with a huge ball of ice so basically it was like three sips then charged us $30 each drink! We could not believe it! Absolutely insane for a drink we took three sips of that they didn't even state the price of. They asked if we wanted bottled water or tap so of course we chose bottled and I could not believe when we got the check that they charged us $13 for a bottle of water. Last we decided to order an espresso drink with ice cream. The ice cream obviously had freezer burned because there was pieces of ice inside. It was disgusting. On the way out the waiter decided to give us $15 back because they felt bad for not letting us know how much the margaritas were which was nice but I still felt like we were robbed after spending $200 on two appetizers two drinks and two desserts and being very disappointed. One of the high class restaurants I wanted to try for a long time. As appetizers we had octopus Caesar salad and an appetizer with a name like chef's special. The appetizer with chef's special is already the size of the main course. Afterwards, we consulted with the waiter about the main course choices. We chose chicken lamb chops and scallops. Our aim was to taste every flavor. The lamb chops that came in the appetizer plate was the main course for the second time. Everything is really overpriced. The food is delicious, but the main course of scallops is the same size as the appetizers everywhere. Definitely a dish to add to the appetizers. Then the food was not good at all! We chose this place to host a birthday celebration of 7 for our friend based on the positive reviews. While nothing about the experience was overly negative we likely won't be returning anytime soon after our initial visit. Starting off with the food. Cooked well and presented in an elegant way our expectations were slightly higher (again based on reviews) than what we received. I ordered the pesto tortellini, the initial bite led me to want to explore the dish more which soon turned to a slightly over salty dish. The olive bread they provided before the meal was fantastic and the butter cream they had was a great addition. Each of the drinks we ordered were good, but for the price we've found restaurants that were able to match our expectation closer. What was most off-putting about the night was that the wait staff was catering more to the tables that were ordering expensive plates/drinks. They also didn't inform us on how expensive the bubbly water was going to be (but we didn't ask... so lesson learned). I wanted to like this restaurant as Italian is one of my favorite cuisines, but the overall experience left me looking for other options in the area before giving this restaurant a second chance. read more

Came here to celebrate a birthday and ended up leaving feeling very unpleased. Location: This restaurant has a very cute ambiance. They have crystal chandeliers hanging on the ceiling, a small bar section, and a cute table set up. The parking lot is very limited. It is kind of hard to find a spot in the parking lot. Also, their bathroom situation is very interesting. They only have one stall for women and one stall for men. So the line for the bathroom does take some time. Food: I will say that the food here was not great. This was my first time here and I'm not too sure if they rotate their menu frequently or if they change it on weekends. But a lot of the food options you see online via Yelp were not offered. We ordered calamari, grilled octopus, bruschetta, mushroom flatbread, braised short ribs, the chicken entree, and the filet mignon. I will say that their appetizers are way better than their entrees. All the entrees we had lacked a lot of flavor. It was pretty disappointing since we were paying for high-end food. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate cake and that was pretty good. I would only really recommend their appetizers and dessert. Drinks: Their drinks were pretty good. They have a great selection of wine and cocktails. And surprisingly a small beer selection. Service: Our service here was surprisingly one of the biggest disappointments of the night. We had made a reservation ahead of time for a group of 6. Though we were seated pretty fast, everything else was not so great. We spent over 3 hours at this restaurant and most of it was waiting for service. It took an absurd amount of time to get a server's attention to take our orders. We first ordered appetizers and drinks and received our food and drinks pretty quickly. It took about an hour for the server to come back to take our main course order. And that was pretty much how our night went. We spent probably 2/3 of our time there waiting to get service. In general, it seemed like a lot of tables were getting faster service than us. We had seen multiple tables placed and receive orders before we were even able to order our main course. Additionally, we had told our server that this was everyone's first time there. Halfway through our main course, we noticed that all the tables around us were getting complimentary bread. When I asked the server about the bread, he said it was only given upon request. But as first-timers to this restaurant, how were we supposed to know this? Overall, we had a not-so-good experience here. Decided to come here for an impromptu date night and it was quite the experience. We reached post 8 pm and knew we had about an hour to go which was enough time for us. We made a reservation so got seated right away. Our server was well dressed, polite and came to our table as soon as we got seated with water. He mentioned he would be back in a few mins to take our order. We decided to go with a glass of the featured reds - the Malbec from Argentina and it was delicious. We started with the bruschetta and it was just the right perfect size to get the meal stared. We also ordered the Halibut with truffle risotto and that was mind blowing. I saw "hidden gem" as you're not expecting such an extravagant interior, bar and outdoor area from the outside. It's in a corner across from the shoreline movie theatre's. Great restaurant. Great food. Great service. This is a very elegant restaurant. The inside of the restaurant has a bar and there is an outdoor area. So why only 4 stars. I wanted to give 3 honestly. Primarily because this is not a place for families. While booking the site asked whether we had kids under 10. We had one child accompanying us but he is 14. So far all good. But then an hour before the reservation time the restaurant calls to say " kids over 18 can be seated inside " and "kids over 10 can be seated outside". Basically what they want to say is children under 10 are not allowed in the restaurant. I had to settle for outdoor seating on a windy rainy day. Plans were made. It was a birthday celebration and we couldn't change it. They did give us a free slice of cake to celebrate. Thanks for that. The staff were great. But I don't understand the no kids policy. It's a restaurant. Not a bar. The location isn't great either. Would I go again? No. Because the child with us is 14 and has been with us to Michelin star/guide restaurants. Calamari: I am a BIG fan of calamari, so I order it almost every time it's on any menu. Maybe I'm biased because I love calamari, but this definitely lived up to my expectations. Burrata & Heirloom Tomatoes: I'm picky and I usually don't like tomatoes because the tomato flavor is too strong, but with this dish I found myself going back for more. These heirloom tomatoes were so good, good flavor but not overwhelming. The burrata was amazing, who doesn't love burrata? We stacked the burrata and tomatoes on top of the bread that came with the table, it made it that much better. Harris Short Ribs: This was just amazing, my favorite dish of the night (even more than the calamari!). The short ribs fell apart so easily, you barely needed to pull at it with a fork. The first thing I noticed was it was in a small strip mall kinda parking lot, so parking shouldn't be an issue. The exterior has some nice decor that gives you an introduction to the decor on the inside. With that said I'd have to say that it is very sleek, modern sheikh with a contemporary vibe. Beautiful bar area and the staff dresses very professional.. On to the food.. firstly the bread was a great start and one could get full off of indulging in it alone. For appeteazers we got the shrimp, fried calamari and grilled octopus all of which hit the spot and you can't go wrong on. I ordered the braised short rib with polenta which held its own against many restaurants I've ate at. The polenta was very flavorful and the meat was tender enough that you could eat everything w a spoon. My love interest ordered the saffron sea bass which was seasoned and cooked to perfection. That is what actually saved the semi strong fishy taste to it. No points taken away but something to note. A member of our party got the lasagna that they'd compare to a soup. Unsatisfactory but I didn't order it or try it so take what you can from that. The lamb was said to be very OK but nothing to write home about although the spinach on the dish was very noteworthy. This isn't the most expensive place or the cheapest so you can find an occasion to come here. We were looking for a nicer outdoor patio area as our puppers was going to be with us. The interior and outdoor seating area is absolutely gorgeous! Really surprised they are so pet friendly both indoor and outdoor. It was a colder night and I was worried we might be cold, but they have so many heaters! They turned on all the heaters surrounding us even though we were the only party eating as we caught an early dinner at 5pm. Service was friendly and attentive. Our food also came out so quickly. I love the outdoor patio here. Best in the Bay Area IMHO. It's very well set up and even when it's cold, the beautiful heat lamps keep you toasty. Best time is around sunset, but just avoid a spot where you're looking directly into the sunset itself -- it's blinding for about 1/2 hour! I come for the atmosphere and stay for the food. Just about everything is good! I brought a bunch of friends last week and they're still raving about it. Everyone had a great time. Among our favorites were the sea bass, octopus and calamari. Since we haven't seen each other for a while and we have so much to catch up on, we stayed there for a while. Amazingly, the staff is so friendly and welcoming, even though we were the last table. Well adorned and high cleanliness standards, I totally enjoyed my dining experience. Here for lunch with a group, we dined outside on the patio. The attention to detail and accommodations were top notch. Each server was polite and professional and aimed to please. The selections were from a pre fixe menu for a group and had options that accommodated religious and nutritional preferences. Great care and concern was shown to ensure that there were no errors for those with food restrictions. I opted for the short ribs over mashed potatoes and was not disappointed. Each bite confirmed that I am a working adult that is deserving of nice things. The view and ambience supported a blissful lunch. Spoiler alert, they have tea....not sweet tea but that can be remedied by requesting simple syrup from their bar. You can tell that the ingredients used are selected with pride. The food came out quickly and at the appropriate temperatures. The portions were filling and aligned to the price point. The dessert options were satisfying and delicious. Management walked about to ensure there were no issues. I am confident that if there had been any, it would have been taken care of swiftly. Located next door to a Starbucks and has shared parking. I feel like this is such an underrated restaurant tucked in a small plaza by the Century 16 Theatres and Google HQ. The outdoor seating in the back is absolutely gorgeous with just the perfect amount of shade and an elegant spread. There's even space for large groups on a comfy sofa setup. For lunch, we ordered the Fettuccine with Duck Confit and the Linguini Pescatore. Both pastas were delicious. Can't say they were using freshly made pasta as the sauce didn't adhere perfectly for the linguini, but the flavors were fantastic. The duck confit was cooked well, but it's honestly the raisins, sweet peas, and cracklings that made the dish shine. You won't find this flavor combo anywhere else and I enjoyed every bite. Linguini Pescatore comes with tons of fresh seafood with the prawns being my favorite. I would have loved to see some scallops but the clams, salmon, and snapper were fresh. We were a group of 10 friends--mostly busy working moms--gathering for a farewell dinner for one of us moving out of the country. Due to a last-minute babysitter cancellation, one mom had to bring her 6-year-old daughter. We were seated by the host without any issue. However, a few minutes later, the host returned with the manager and another staff member and informed us--rather abruptly--that the restaurant has a "no children" policy and we would need to leave. Despite calmly explaining the situation, they showed no flexibility or empathy. What was most upsetting was the way it was handled: having three men confront a group of women--mothers, many of us women of color--in a way that felt dismissive and discriminatory. If a policy like this exists, it should have been communicated at the door, not after seating us. Asking us to leave after being welcomed was not only embarrassing but also deeply disrespectful. This experience left us feeling unwelcome and judged, and we hope the restaurant reconsiders how it approaches these situations in the future--with more compassion and professionalism. read more

What a fantastic dining experience! The ambiance is so inviting and... calm. I am especially appreciative that no children are allowed in the indoor dining area. There is never a need to raise your voice for you to be heard at the table when talking with others. I can't overstate how much of a difference this policy makes to one's digestion. The dishes I ordered were excellent. Heirloom tomatoes with burrata cheese and a balsamic reduction--all of which looked like a wonderful dessert but tasted like the savory salad it was meant to be. That night, they had a fettuccine with duck confit that was heavenly. It was an enormous amount of food. I am not a big person. I could not stop myself from finishing it off. The restaurant uses a model with a team of waitstaff paying attention to the table, not a single person. I thought everything flowed beautifully. While some people might not appreciate the automatic addition of a fixed percentage service charge, it does include a tip that is divided across those who participated in serving the table: the various people in the waitstaff, for example. You are welcome to write in a supplemental tip, but it is not required. Having worked with restaurant managers in the past, I know that some patrons are extremely stingy with tips and the restaurant guests who leave the least are the ones who demand the most. This time I thought I'd go simple, go for the lowest priced entrée to soften the disappoint by at least not overspending, so I just got the chicken. Things didn't go to plan... I was still utterly disappointed. The chicken must've been enroute from an old age home to the cemetery or something because it was the most overdone, driest, most overcooked piece of poultry in California. OK... A bad meal once or twice happens but the thing that really chapped my hide was the outrageous prices. These guys are worse than used car salesman. They're swindlers. The prices for their specialty cocktails are ridiculous at close to 40 bucks. But then they have this little trick where the waiter says oh you should really try tonight's special cocktail, but doesn't share the price. It's not on the menu. But one would assume it's in line with the cocktails on the menu. No no no no it's double the price. Close to $70. For an old-fashioned! On top of that, one of the guests in our party said I'll just have the whiskey... straight.. The waiter said single or double. So he got a double which most people would do. Guess how much that MFer cost...... wait for it... Wait for it... $240. Our guest was celebrating his 22nd birthday and looks 18, perhaps too naive to ask the price? Why on earth the waiter didn't casually mention the price???? It's criminal. Maybe it's because this restaurant is the closest thing to Google billionaires that may wander in by accident and so they feel comfortable charging these outrageous prices... I don't know... But for God sake it's in a strip mall next to 7-Eleven. That should tell you something. Don't go don't go don't go. The best restaurant in Mountain. A hop, skip, and jump from Google. Danny, our server is amazing. Please give them a try. They have amazing appetizers, the shrimp is to die for! Fine dining I didn't expect to find here. When you first pull up, you'll be confused as the restaurant is tucked in a corner of a little plaza. Parking is also a little rough since it's in a little plaza near a 7 Eleven and Starbucks. Once we got there, our party of 15 was escorted to the outside area where it drastically changed our whole perspective on the place. A tree barrier to block the outside noise near the street and canopies with string lights to add to the elegance. Then we all sat down and began to look at the menu. Not going to lie, I feel like the text on the menu was too small but it is what it is. We had ordered a good amount of appetizers to start off with and once we were done with those they came and took our plates and utensils to have a clean meal. That was really nice. I had also noticed they place the lime in a sash to prevent the seeds getting into your meal. On to the wine, I had ordered a Zinfandel and this was surprisingly good for my taste. I appreciated how when they serve you the wine they pour a bit first so you can taste it to see if you like it. Then they pour the rest. I guess this is wine etiquette which I didn't know about. I had ordered the lamb chops medium rare and as much as I looked forward to this, the lamb was just ordinary. It didn't really have a flavor going on and nothing that wowed me. There was more flavor in the spinach and 3 potatoes that came with the dish. First I have to say this restaurant is beautiful! The atmosphere is very romantic and great for dates, family gatherings,s and picture taking. Service is not the greatest but OK. Always have to ask for things and no one really checked on us. What really disappointed me is the food. The only thing I liked is fried calamari and the rest is about average. You would expect more since the place is beautiful. Fettuccini with Duck Confit - 3/5 It is not bad, but not amazing either. It is very blended, needs more flavor. Pappardelle Bolognese - 3/5 Again, there's nothing special about this dish. Same as above. It is something you eat and forget. Would I come back again? decor!!: I went here for a birthday dinner and it was fancy and beautifully decorated. Outside patio is gorgeous and if i were to come back, I'd only sit outside. Gorgeous chandeliers & the ambiance was so nice. food: absolutely delicious. we destroyed it in a short amount of time. we got the duck confit pasta and the penne pasta and it was just amazing. would definitely come back for just these dishes. also we ordered a strawberry lemonade :) service: very quick and nice servers, came by a good amount of times to made sure we had everything! on top of the game just as expected. location: it's like in a corner & the front of the restaurant is hidden by bushes and tall trees to accommodate seating in the front but you'll know where it is! just go around the bushes haha read more

Atmosphere is a 10/10, the restaurant is beautiful! It has a nice, elegant, and classy feel to it. The food was delicious, the ravioli was tasty and they also have very good cocktails. For dessert, we shared tiramisu, which was just wow! Service was good and attentive, and overall this was a lovely dinner. read more
