Overall was very impressed and satisfied with the food quality, taste and customer service. As soon as I walked up I was greeted by Ross who was outside cooking. Food time was more than reasonable and was happy with my order. I went with the Tri-Tip/Baby Rack Rib combo with fries on the side and a Pulled Pork Sandwich with potato salad on the side. Rib meat was really good and fell right off the bone, tri-tip was tender and very flavorful and definitely loved the potato salad. My one and only critique is the pricing. For all that I listed above for me and my 10 year old boy was almost $70...I think the pricing could definitely use some work for the portions given. I will definitely be back but unfortunately not as frequent as I would like, due to the prices. Thanks Ross for being a great host! -Alex And now, a word from my 10 year old: It was my first time having bbq and i think the food was very good it was my first time having ribs and they tasted amazing the meat was very tender I wish to come again -Finn

The first thing that turned me off is that the food was packaged in Styrofoam. Aside from the fact that Styrofoam is not good for the environment the food that is hot gets wet inside. We ordered garlic Parmesan cheese bread. $30 for 6 pieces. I'm not sure where the garlic and the cheese were it was more of a toast. We ordered garlic mashed potatoes. My husband loves garlic unfortunately I think they forgot to make them garlic. They were plain. Additionally, we ordered the tri-tip sliced. It was sliced in very small pieces. Chicken breast, which I did not try I cannot give a comment on that..

Our waiter Danielle provided excellent service--I can't express enough how much I appreciated the attentive and friendly experience. The beer was served ice cold and was the perfect size for a hot afternoon. The Cobb salad was excellent. It was fresh, generously prepared, and included every ingredient you would expect. We also received the extra side of blue cheese we requested, which was appreciated. We also ordered the bacon cheeseburger. There was nothing wrong with the burger itself--it was cooked well and prepared nicely. My only personal preference was that the barbecue sauce was a bit overpowering and masked the flavor of the bacon and beef. If you enjoy a stronger barbecue flavor, you may really like it, but I would have preferred a lighter touch. Overall, we had a very enjoyable visit thanks to the excellent service, refreshing drinks, and fresh food. We'd be happy to return.

He looked at the kids, said he would check, then disappeared for about 10 minutes before returning to tell us they could not have kids' menus because they "looked over 10." The way it was handled felt unnecessarily awkward and unwelcoming. We also asked whether we could briefly charge a phone and were told no. At that point, after the long wait and poor attitude, we decided to leave. The entire interaction made us feel like our business was not wanted. We expected much better customer service. Very disappointing.

It's located in the small to medium size outside shopping plaza in Downtown Agoura and right next to the elementary school and high-school. The same owner has been serving customers for years and is always a delight to talk to. My boyfriend and I came here the other day to grab lunch to-go and bring it to the beach to eat. We ordered and it didn't take too long to get our food, as I also peeked next door at the consignment store. They did pack it a little different than I thought they would, putting both sandwiches that we ordered into one aluminum tray with the fries on top, but that's alright. That being said, we ordered two sandwiches, some fries, and drinks (they have cold or room temperature). The chicken burrata with pesto is always my go-to and is so good! It has a classic taste that never gets old, and the flavors in the ingredients all mesh well together. My boyfriend got the Prosciutto Panini and he said he really enjoyed that one, too! *One note is that a good amount of years ago, the owner used to make his own teas and juices for customers; they were always so fun to try. If you're a local and you haven't been yet, what are you waiting for? I'd recommend going for lunch. If you're visiting the area, it's also worth stopping by since Agoura doesn't have many of their own small businesses and restaurants (especially affordable ones that are good.)

This is a long overdue BBQ review about Jim's Fallbrook Market. Now before we get into it, this is…read morea true 3-Star review... not 5... read on to find out why. You know it's BBQ Season, as their smokers fill the air that makes your mouth just water! There's always a line (a good sign)... and the portions are fair (not great, but not skimpy either). There's always two things when it comes to the barbecue does it smell as good as it tastes does it taste as good as it smells? And in this situation, the taste is not as good as it smells. I've been on this planet for a long time in the last 40 something years have eaten more than my Fair share a barbecue so I can only give you my opinion of a 40 year journey eating all kinds of barbecue from coast to coast. When it comes to their accouchement of sauces, yes they got plenty of hot sauces but no they don't have that many "" sauces or a juice that you can get with what you order. Lastly, all kinds of folks I've met are proud of the meat. They make love to talk about it love to get into the mechanics behind it without of course, giving up their trade secrets you don't get that here. If anything, you can just get people that wanna move the line along and I get it if there's a long line you wanna move folks along, but you can still be friendly about it. During the days that I've been there before the line started it's the same attitude just get your plate. Get your grub and go little to no communication. So if they ever make their chicken, chickens and meats taste as good as it smells, they will definitely get another star out of me, and if their attitude was more friendly and less stuffy, we would finally get that five star review that they should deserve, but due to the things I've encountered more than once it's three stars.

Big, clean, a lot of higher-end stores, and a solid variety in the food court. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was alright. I was expecting more of a pulled chicken sandwich like their pulled beef, but it was just a few pieces of chicken with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. Pretty plain, especially for about $13. Probably wouldn't get that again. The guy behind the counter was cool though. He saw the look on my face when I opened the box and gave me a sample of the brisket so I could see what it really hits like. I also tried their spicy BBQ and mustard sauces, both were actually really good. If I go back, I'm skipping the chicken and going straight for the brisket with those sauces. Matter of fact, next time I'm at Topanga, that's exactly what I'm doing.

We were having to choose between two restaurants next to one another & we decided to go with SLAB. We ordered the OHHH brisket sandwich and the half chicken with the bbq baked beans and Mac and Cheese. The sauce is a 10/10. The OHHH sandwich was super good and it would have been even better if the brisket was HOT with heat. The brisket was tender and flavorful - the bun was soft. Loved every part of this sandwich. The half chicken was also ordered - the sauce once again was a major star but the chicken needed to be seasoned a bit more. Now for the sides - the Mac and cheese I give a 2/5. It was def what I consider "fast food" - I wouldn't order it again. The bbq baked beans were a 1/5. Totally not worth the gassiness. They needed more sauce, brown sugar and bbq to even be considered bbt baked beans but great try! I'd come back for their other menu offerings! Ordering was easy and the timeliness of the food was perfect for being in such a large place.
