What a hidden gem, lived near it for many years and went in the first time a few weeks ago. The smaller part at the entrance seemed like a small little hot dog place that was out dated and average but when I went to the back where the band was playing I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. the exterior is lacking and looks like a hole in the wall which those can be some of the best places. However when you enter the back section it was clean and the atmosphere was great! I was so glad I just stopped in with a friend who wanted to go there. I would have never guessed from the outside! The back patio could use a bit of life but I would give this place an 8/10! I will be back for sure. The food is great! They have someone who really cares about the food that is being served. Fish fry is great. The mac & cheese is sooo good but it needs to be served at a hotter temperature. The wings are great and so are the hand cut fries with the crunchy lil bits and I love that they serve them with homemade ranch. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the bottle caps. I REALLY wish they would serve 3 with each entree so more people could try them AND so that I don't have to order the appetizer and eat the entire order myself! Love the music and the car shows and BINGO! There are so many great things about this place but the service isn't one of them. There are a couple of girls that are great but there are some that have been serving there for a long time that just just do not put forth any effort. We do eat here often but have never reviewed. The environment was alright. I really enjoyed all the TV's that they had throughout the place. The mason jar beer glasses were great. The tap beer selection was small but had a good bottle selection. The food was wonderful. We had the pulled pork/mac n cheese appetizer and it was delicious. We also had a burger and the chicken sandwich and both were delicious. We were up in Fox Lake area and found Cuda's on Yelp. It looked like an interesting menu so we stopped in. It was pretty empty as it was mid day on a very cold day. Our waitress was great and very knowledgeable on the menu. We ordered a series of appetizers including the boneless wings, pork wings, and a French fry special that had pulled pork, bacon, vegetables and cheese. My son also ordered a meatball sandwich. Everything was amazing. The boneless wings were nice and crispy. The ranch dressing is homemade and so good we bought some to take home. The pork wings were flash fried pork shanks that were crispy and awesome with the orange pepper marmalade. The meatball sandwich disappeared and his sweet potato fries were perfect. I don't give reviews too often - but had to write one for Cuda's. They deserve their success. read more

First time I had the pulled pork platter which was great along with the fresh cut fries. The homemade bloody marry with bacon infused vodka was crazy good. Also the Mac and cheese topped with pulled pork was a small but incredibly tasty appetizer Second time at Cuda's I went from like to live with this place. The Chicken and waffles had me hooked for life. Light fluffy waffles with a soft crisp that tasted like they were pre-dipped in butter and lightly breaded crispy but tender chicken pieces with yes a orange-habanero marmalade!!!! Cute, yummy and friendly. This is our second time here for lunch and both times the service was great and the food was delicious. The beer can chicken sandwich is amazing and my husband enjoyed both the cheeseburger and the stuffed buffalo burger and loved them. I can see this becoming one of our regular places.
