A must try if you're traveling to the Dallas area. I found this little cute gem via TikTok lol. There was a via of someone that ordered the fried fish and received an entire fish lol. The food displays and plating are a piece of art on their own as well. Back to the review: It's located in Mesquite in a very convenient location. Not too far away, less than a mile or so from I-20, the mall and Target. Plenty of parking. Super cute decor from the outside to the inside. Every corner and inch is almost Instagram-able. Service was AMAZING! Tanya was super sweet. A little soft spoken but very attentive and kind. I cannot remember the hosts name but he was a vibe lol. We witnessed two birthday celebrations and let's say if you need last minute reservations for a birthday come here. They dimmed the lights, changed the music, danced, brought out shots with sparklers and cheesecake. I wondered what the big rubber ducks were for and it's a shot holder lol. The food was really good but it wasn't mom and pop type Spanish food. More on the lines of their college educated son decided to take his academics to the culinary level and added an upscale spin to it. So if you're looking for authentic street tacos or even Tex-mex this isn't it. This is more mex-inese since they have sushi rolls on the menu. The drinks are STRONG, but good. They do not believe in skimpy shots for their margaritas. I ordered the Pineapple with Jalapeño, which is a spicy pineapple margarita. I added extra pineapple juice. My partner ordered a sweet tea which was good and came in a cute mason jar. Oh and their drinks come with paper straws. I'm not a fan of them but I support the cause. The food was good and portion sizes are huge. I forgot to snap pictures of the tacos and my partner's meals. The tacos were okay. They had a 2-for-1 special being that it was Taco Tuesday. I definitely recommend Culichi Town for the experience, drinks and some of the food options. 8/10

Our experience at culichitown were very good but I have to be honest, at first it was very off , I was gonna take care of the whole bill and I wa trying to tell the sever but she kind of ignored , but I didn't say anything or get mad, after we all ate and start drinking she noticed that I was the one doing the calls of food and drinks for the table , so she start putting more attention (how convenient lol) either way we were having a good time, when I order the duck she told it was like 10 shots of tequila, bu taking in count it we like 16 of us, 7 kids , 9 adults , I ask the server if she could switch 3 tequilas for just Orange juice or sprite because 3 people of the family don't drink, and somehow she made it happen, we even sing with the band and took some pictures , the staff and managers were very friendly and helpful. So for final review: food 9/10 (they didn't have oysters) , ambience 9/10, the band charges around 30 bucks a song, but sometimes they didn't finished it or they didn't know the lyrics, staff 8/10 they never thought I was in charge of the group lol

Where do I start with this beautiful clean restaurant. First off the restaurant is beautiful open spaced nice colors and furniture. Bathroom is a girls dream vanity room marbles sink and a asian style flow faucet. My fiancé 2 toddlers and 6 month old went on a Tuesday so it was not jam packed with obnoxious music. Laid back Spanish music my fiancé sang to literally every song so that's a plus. Now let's move on to the NOT so well. I'm not discrediting Culichi of there aesthetic but the fundaments (AKA food) is where the disappointment and aggravation comes into place. I'm a spender when it comes to beautiful tasty food plus a good vibe. But poor quality, overpriced makes you phased. Receipt in photos. Our total: $122 With how poor and careless service was my fiancé still tipped $14. He ordered a steak and shrimp and when I say that piece of fajita meat tastes like beef liver I mean it was straight up beef liver no salt (we had to ask for salt) no flavor besides a smoke after taste to it. Never have I tasted a piece of "steak" that gave me beef liver taste. We asked the waiter if all the seasoning was this bland and the response was: we haven't had any issues... OK then. Next: I ordered a Roco roll and a shrimp, scallop, Octopus tostada. I'm a fanatic for those three things and a go to for me but Culuchis was super soft. I like my pulpo chewy and just everything combined gave a weird sensation in my mouth. And once again seasoning. My tad a salt helped a bit. I think the best thing was the Roco Roll that I had no complaints for. Price of $18 Im fine with. My kids I got them 1 kids order of 6pc chicken nuggets with fries and drinks and literally came a happy meal type box. Raising canes: Kids combo same exact $4/5 McDonald's Happy meal: $5 So they basically doubled what the general fast food offered at the same quality. My frezada was so icy before we left I still couldn't take a sip $9 Customer service: careless. Like he wanted to care and say something but we are just another family whose putting there money down and leaving so why care? If the customer service was a bit more "treat me like a human" I wouldn't really have left too bad because knowing another human whose also came from possible nothing knows how it feels to be scammed in a way. The least he could've done would say you guys don't seem to happy with the food is there anything I can pass a message on or change? But nothing. I know if a chef was to step foot (chef Ramsey) I guarantee he would say a dog May just eat better. Overral the experience was disappointing. The Mexicans I spent $400 for my Birthday and have no regrets til this day. If you do decide to go please do for the vibe and the sushi but the food do expect a bland taste or just bring your own seasoning. Still giving them the benefit of the doubt; New chef, different chef, might not be the same for the other food. ***if you read the description of each item of what's in it a lot are the same with one thing added or taken out of.

We went last saturday and we say right infront of the banda which was a horrible placement, quickly asked to be sat elsewhere, the let us sit outside. The music from the banda is TOOOOO LOUD!!!! the place was alright, nothing that fancy looking. the food was a 2/10 not disgusting just no flavor and so dry but too expensive. i got the chicken with fries & veggie sushi (the veggie sushi was really good though) the service was not good but not the worst . overall i wouldnt come back again.

Stopped by yesterday and this place is really nice and quite big too. They even have a small stage for a band. We had the guacamole, shrimp taco, steak taco, and a baked salmon sushi roll. Everything was delicious, with a beautiful plate presentation. So nice to have some better variety and choices of food here in mesquite. Had three cocktails, very pretty but tasted all fruit and no alcohol.

We went for my sisters bachelorette and it was a great first time experience! The vibes were there since you walk in, the music was good the whole time. The food was amazing all my friends said their plates were good my personal favorite were the aguachiles they were a 10 in my book! The drinks were good and you could actually taste the liquor. I just don't like that they charge for water and the salsa had a weird taste to it none of us liked it. those are the only two reasons I can't give this place 5stars. FYI if you do go it is pricy for sure

    Agua de Jamaica

Presentation is very cute. Taste can improve a little but it is good. Friendly stuff good ambiance.

We could tell they were being dishonest because she came back twice saying they say it's catfish. The waitress never came back to check on us after that. The chicken wings were undercooked The crawfish didn't really taste like live crawfish (I eat crawfish all the time and know the difference) We didn't complain just knew in that moment we would never come back. My husband went to pay and they had the nerve to charge him for that catfish. He said I sent it back because it's not what you advertised and the other waitress came from the back and confirmed it's swai. But still the manager continued to stand firm saying no refunds on food. He said it was posted.. my husband said where....It's on the napkin holder!!! No physical menus to look at. Deceitful To us it's about principle don't advertise your product as something it's not and expect people to pay for it when you admittedly said it was not catfish. This should be against the law.. one could be allergic to this fish. Anyways they were rude, not attentive, food undercooked, under seasoned crawfish.... I should have paid attention to the reviews I will just make the drive to the Mansfield Location they are the best of this franchise hands down. I wouldn't be surprised if this place closes in the next six months they need a lot of work!! Customer Satisfaction should be of utmost importance If a seafood place is not busy during crawfish season that is a red flag

I got home and there was no cabbage slaw nor the white sauce only the orange sauce in my taco order.... the cabbage slaw is what sets these fish tacos off that are delicious. I've taken many people to this location & taking several of my Spanish friends from Mexico who loves this dish. I am very disappointed tonight because this does not taste as the usual order of taco Vallarta that I have gotten for several years now with your Mesquite location. I just called the store and got two people who could not speak any English and understand what I was trying to tell about my order. when I asked for the young girl who was at the drive-in window who spoke English she was not available. I talked to another young lady who did not really understand what I was talking about, but then she took my name and said the next time I come up there, they would give me an extra slaw. Duh, really!!! There should be someone at this restaurant that can speak English when there is something wrong with an order. The young lady asked me did I want to drive back up there; I told her NO - I live 15 minutes away. My meal that I was really excited for become very disappointing tonight. I know it's a Friday night, but that doesn't matter where the quality wasn't right, not what I'm used to.

The only thing I'd suggest is having more space for people to sit comfortably as it is pretty small and tables are too close to each other.

Man... somebody grandma definitely in that kitchen. First off, the fish nuggets... listen... I almost ordered another plate before I even finished the first one. Crispy, seasoned, and disrespectfully good. My taste buds started doing the two-step. Now let's talk about that Triple Bypass drink. Whoever named it knew EXACTLY what they were doing. That drink so smooth it sneaks up on you like a ninja. One minute you chilling, next minute you looking at your friends like "hold up... why the room vibing like this?" Wait time? Not bad at all. Service? 100 out of 10. At this point I'm convinced the staff woke up and chose excellence. Rain, sleet, snow, alien invasion -- I'm still pulling up. This place will reset your whole mood and put a Cajun bounce in your soul. Highly recommend. Just don't blame me when you leave full, happy, and a little tipsy.

I ordered the 10pc catfish nugget with fries and it did not meet my expectations. I expected the nuggets to be bigger or at least thicker. What I received, I could barely call nuggets. It appeared like cracklings... barely any fish at all. Because of this, I had to toss at least 4 of them (see video). On top of that, it was not seasoned well so I didn't even get a taste of satisfaction. Same with the fries - it was bland. The entire meal was a wash and I unfortunately I had to secure a back-up meal elsewhere. The menu seemed promising, but this experience left a sub par first impression. On a brighter note, the staff were very friendly and people seemed to have enjoyed their daiquiris.
