Of course almost all great tasting food are also fattening, but I'll live :-P I'd recommend to stay away from the omelets, as the eggs tend to be thick and flavorless. Since it's a cash only place, do bring money, as the on-site debit-card/ATM machine charges extra. I chose this place because of the yelp reviews and I have to say I was surprised at how much I liked it. It's like the breakfast "Cheers" in Poway. Granted there is copious use of wood paneling in the decoration, who gives a fuck? I'm not looking for Flemmings. I walked in, was immediately treated with gusto and asked my name. I hung out there for about an hour and 15 minutes because I was waiting for work to start at 9am. The owner (obviously) chatted with me and the other patrons the whole time, and not in an intrusive way. I felt pretty comfortable there, although I dwarfed the other patrons in age by about 40 years. My coffee was constantly filled, the omlette was generous although I ordered wrong. I wanted a green chili omlette, but ordered a chili omlette. Still good but not what I had my mouth ready for. In all, great! Definitely will go back when I travel to Poway, land of hills. Most bomb breakfast in Poway, its kinda a hole in the wall but that just makes it better. The inside is very homey feeling and the portions are great, along with the great food! After looking over the menu I decided to try something I NEVER have seen on any breakfast menu... The Italian Omelet, with potatoes O'Brian, and a biscuit. Oh... My... GOSH! It was awesome. If you usually like to put tomato based salsa on your regular omelets you will love this. It's stuffed full of creamy melty ricotta cheese, decent pieces of meat, white melted cheese on top and Italian marinara sauce. The size of the red potatoes in the potatoes O'Brian were a bit large but manageable. I wished they were crispy on the outside. They kind of were but seemed a little under done. Still good though. The biscuit was pretty good too. Comes out in a square which was a nice change. It was fluffy and flaky and a good size. The staff were very kind and helpful. The portions were large and I had to bring a decent amount home. We paid with cash, tipped the waiter, and tipped the cook. A lot of people forget about the magic behind the scenes. Been going here for 10 years or so, and the food is always consistant. Staff are great and friendly, and possibly the biggest reason why people come back time and time again. It's one of those places you see similiar faces each time. I always get the Ham and Eggs with Hashbrowns. Ham in my opinion is one of the best in town as its off a Bone in Hame, not some processed oval that slices out like lunch meat. The hash browns when done right are excellent too...some days they are good some days bad...not sure if its a cook thing or what. all in all, its like McDonald's...you always know what to expect, except the staff are much friendlier! read more

I'm a guy who doesn't mind having breakfast for lunch. With a pal o' mine, we stopped into Cully's around noon. Great lunchfast! i had french toast with some bacon on the side. The french toast was slightly cripsy on the outside and soft on the inside. The bacon was perfect, too. You will never find this place unless your specifcally looking for it but its a great family owner local resturaunt. A landmark of poway in fact. Based on the exterior it always looks closed or out of business. once do you walk your are greeted with a grammas kitchen vibe. The owner is most always there and always friendly. The food is usually pretty good. I say usually because I have experienced inconsistencies. My most recent experience was trying the Eggs benedict. I was delightfully surprised. 2 large sized perfectly poached eggs atop a slice of well seasoned ham and a toasted english muffin. covered in a rich and creamy hollandiase sauce. the sauce was spot on with hints of lemon. the side of hashbrowns was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I am docking 1 star due to location and dated decor. 1 star due to slightly long waiting time. Overall a place I go on occasion with the family and would reccomend to others. read more

I ordered corn beef hash, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and biscuits and gravy on the side, what a great spread! Their house made salsa is on point, has a good kick to it, I usually dont even use salsa on breakfast foods.... but it was all over my eggs and hashbrowns.. sooo good!
