SWEET AND SAVORY! I was intrigued by the aesthetic pink tree in the restaurant, and made my way over. The place was popping with both indoor and outdoor seating. Once a table is ready, you head to the cash register to place your order. They have example plates of all of the food options! We both got chilaquiles and cafe de olla (which comes with a concha!). Food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed our sauce on our chilaquiles (4 different options) as well as the extra salsa (ask the waitress for it) on the side and chili oil already provided on the table. Eggs weren't overcooked, beans were smooth, birria was moist and soft. The coffee was sweet and warm. Dipping the concha made it melt into the coffee. A great way to end my breakfast. Of note, if you sit outside, they have these fan-like devices to help keep flies and other bugs away! My only complaint is I wish waitresses checked on us more often. Since you pay at a counter, there isn't one particular server helping you. You have to flag someone down when you need something. I'll definitely be back though! read more

So cute inside! Service was great, all the staff were very friendly. Plenty of options on the menu. We ordered the cafe de olla and it comes with a concha. I read a previous review saying the concha was stale or not very good... I do not agree with that, at least on our visit they were soft. Cafe de olla was perfectly made not too sweet or overpowering. I ordered the El especial de mama, and pancakes on the side (I was ordering with my eyes) I didn't even get to the pancakes but they were nicely presented, and seemed to be fluffy served with warm syrup. The plate I ordered was chilaquiles that were mild with fresh ingredients on top, I did read it lacked flavor and I would agree but I think it's because you expect a little bit of bite with it which this is very mild, a little salt and it was all good, the sauce appears and taste homemade not from a can. The Birria was tender and had good flavor, eggs cooked perfectly and beans flavorful. My husband had Mexico en el corazon and it was machaca a tamale de elote, eggs, chilaquiles and he thought everything was delicious , I did try the tamale de elote and it was pretty good. When we got there we were the first ones in there, as we were eating it was filling up pretty quickly, I could see this getting pretty crowded as the space is limited, we are early birds so hopefully we won't run into that in the future because we will definitely be going back. read more

Bistro Brunch is hands down one of the best brunch spots in phoenix! Their chilaquiles are the best, perfectly made and full of flavor. The café de olla is to die for! the perfect way to start your morning. The machaca and tamal de elote honestly taste like I'm sitting in Sinaloa, Mexico, enjoying a homemade meal. On top of the amazing food, the service is fantastic and the ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy brunch. Definitely a place I'll keep coming back to read more

It is not my first time here, and I usually love to come eat here. The food itself is good, but our experience was overshadowed by being seated outside in 104-degree heat today. I understand there is a wait time to be seated inside but right now in Arizona with this weather there should be a cut off time for employees to sit customers outside. Yes there was an AC portable outside but it was far from our table (#12). Also yes, I understand and see that there is expansion coming soon but please still take the weather into consideration. But I'd honestly, I'd invite the owner to set a table for their own family out there and see how they feel around the same time and temperature. First time coming to this place, don't think I will be back. Was not fan of how the set up is, you have to go up to the register and order your food before sitting down there are no menus. The food options are displayed by plates and the cashier explains each plate and describes what they are but because of the noise, it was hard to hear her. Personally, when I go to a restaurant, I wanna sit down and look at a menu because I felt rushed having to order and quickly decide and being my first time there I did not like that. Decided to give this place a shot and I definitely was not disappointed. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly, absolutely delicious. The service was fast and friendly. It was pretty busy on a Tuesday @ 10:30am. I was seated in like 15 minutes (to be fair, it was only 2 of us). Service was Great and out waitress was very attentive. Its cute decor inside was inviting. They have a variety of options. From your Meat Lovers to your Non-Meat Lovers (Me!). I ordered "El Patron" and it was good and the Cafe de Olla was Delicious!! La Concha was soft, fresh and warm. The only reason I have it a 4 is because it was a little pricey for me. But overall, I liked it. read more

The customer service was also great, very friendly and explained all the plate options to us upon entering. Place is a little on the smaller side but we came to eat a late brunch and had no issues finding seating. Would definitely recommend and will be returning. read more

Disappointed!! This place reminded me of a place in SD with the same concept and I've been missing home, but this place was definitely not as good!! It lacked flavor and the conchas were a bit stale. i'm from out of town but i had a craving for chilaquiles for i searched on uber eats and this place came up. of course i had to check on yelp for pictures and ratings as well and what i saw, def impressed me. i ordered the "create your own chilaquiles" with the salsa roja, queso fresco, avocado, onion, crema, frijoles puercos, and a scrambled egg. i also ordered a side of the rajas, the pepino/limon drink and a cafe de olla. first, everything was packaged perfectly with the chilaquiles and egg in one container, the frijoles in another and the rajas in one. i was immediately impressed with the chilaquiles from first bite. the salsa isn't spicy but had just a slight kick. the rajas, probably some of the best i've ever had, and the beans were delicious. the drink was so refreshing and the cafe de olla, so yummy!! i'd definitely order from here again! read more

This place is terrible do yourself a favor and don't come here. Hostess was rude we were in line and then proceeded to help the person in behind of us instead of finishing up. They allowed the other person to move from tables while we were told to be outside. There was a table open and the hostess didn't want to give to us. The food is good, but horrible service. The waiters never ask how is everything and if you need anything else. We waited 58min for a table there was a hair on our food. Another 20 min for the new plate. No apologies no courtesy coffee etc for the inconvenience. read more
