Came here not expecting too much, but was pleasantly surprised. It is a typical burger/chicken place; however, the food does taste much more fresh than other places. Think Five Guys meets Zaxbys. THe menu is expansive and should have something for everyone, and the shakes and ice cream are as good as any place around Cool Springs. It obviously not a place you are taking a date, but for a quick bite with the kids after the ball games are over, its perfect. We will be back. read more

Definitely one of my favorite fast-food places. The service is great, (at least the one I go to) The food isn't wildly expensive, its possible to get a full sized meal for about six dollars. The quality of the food is great and is cooked in the resteraunt. It doesn't take long for the food, ten minutes is the longest time I have to wait. But their prized menu item is their custard. Never have I ever had better custard, it's extremely creamy and inexpensive, and children get it for free. Great service, great food, great price! read more

So we don't have Culver's in CT but my father lives in FL and I know he loves this place (when my mom allows him to eat it). So when I had a craving for a cheat day greasy burger and fries I thought, why not? OMG delicious! It takes a while in the drive through but I could tell it's clearly because it's not McDonalds quality. My double was definitely greasy, but in an amazing, cravable way! The fries are crinkle cut and not as impressive as the burger, but totally still acceptable. I'm in trouble with this place around the corner. Butter burger. Just let that idea sink in a bit and chew those words over. For the uninitiated I would compare the burger to Steak n Shake in that the parties are relatively thin and crispy at the edge. But the bun and the toppings are better. In fact, the bun and the toppings are flawless; fresh, crisp and perfectly proportioned. Welcome to Delicious it says on the bag. This is way better than fast food standard stuff. Way better. Drove through here today after reading the good reviews, and I have to say that Culver's wasn't as fantastic as I was thinking it was going to be. Don't get me wrong, the food was still better than your average run of the mill fast food joint, but it didn't have the wow factor that everyone seemed to be talking about. I ordered the Butter Bacon Cheeseburger with a side of cheese curds and a sweet tea to drink. My total came to around 9.50, so above average of other fasts food restaurants. The cheese curds were okay, but I didn't like the ones that were made with mozzarella cheese. That was the item that I specifically went to Culver's for, hence my disappointment. The burger was pretty good, though I couldn't finish it from being too full. However, about an hour later I got the worst stomach cramps and was sick for about thirty minutes. Now, I'm still sick as it comes in goes in waves, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, and blaming it on the fact that maybe my stomach just couldn't handle something that greasy. Either way, I probably won't be back given the way my stomach reacted and the high prices. read more

Average, not the cleanest place to my liking, the bathroom usually tells a lot about a place, the men's room is ehhh....., about like a gas station bathroom, maybe a little better. Culvers, that's close enough.. Don't' come any closer or I'll have to gain 20 lbs! You don't want me to do that do you? Okay maybe you do. My parents first introduced me to Culver's after they moved to the Detroit Metro area. It's like the Dairy Queen Brazier (Or is it Brassiere? I can never remember) only with better burgers and CHEESE CURDS. (a gross name I admit, but oh so good!) When they first opened a Culver's in Murfreesboro I felt that I was pretty safe, because that's a long drive for a Burger, Cheese Curds and a Turtle Sundae. Now it would appear they are moving closer to me. Great for my taste buds, horrible for my waistline! If you can't tell already I'm a fan of Culver's. The Burger maybe isn't anything too special, but when you combine it with the delicious Cheese Curds, and the aforementioned Sundae, it's a heavenly meal I have a hard time resisting. If you are one of those people who can eat anything and not put on any weight, this is your stop. Otherwise, give yourself an occasional excuse to come here and enjoy the delicious treats! read more

We were suprised on our first visit. Of course it seemed that most people were here for the frozen custard treats but we were there to eat a meal and then have a treat. We had one of the double butter burgers with fries and the fried chicken dinner with green beans and fries. The burger was good. Good old crinkle cut fries. The fried chicken was really pretty good and the green beans actually didn't taste like they were straight out of a can. Then you get to the frozen custard. We had the turtle which is the flavor of the day and the chocolate. Both were good but the turtle was incredible. Only problem is that they only have chocolate and vanilla every day and you have to wait for your favorite flavor to come back around. The staff was still sort of feeling their way on that first visit and did minor things like forgetting to give me software then when I asked one of them delivery meals to the tables for some he forgot to bring me any too. However, the owner was walking around taking care of people, checking in with them and seeing how things were all without telling people he was the owner. We were impressed with his attention and a genuine interest in making sure people were enjoying themselves. On subsequent visits through the drive thru we have tried other things such as the shaved prime rib which was good but I didn't notice it said it had red onions and they were a little strong even though they were grilled. The cheese curds are good and nice to be able to find another place serving them since A&W is no longer in with KFC. And the other flavor of the day custards have been good but I am still trying to catch the turtle again. If you look or ask, they have a little sheet with the flavors of the day that they put out each month so I just need to put my favorites on my calendar with reminders. read more

Let me start off by saying that this was my first trip to a Culver's EVER. So, I have no 'nostalgic' feelings for one like others, who might have lived where there was one years ago, but haven't seen one since. So, I decided to try a little bit of everything I had heard people rave about over and over. I had a Butter Burger, Cheese Curds and a Custard Sundae. First - the burger was great. It had some of the things I LOVE about Steak and Shake burgers - in that the edges were crispy - but the patties were thicker in the middle. All in all - a pretty damn good burger. One of the better 'fast food' burgers I've had. The Cheese Curds were OK. They flavor was not bad - but, I have to say - they were slightly rubbery. Maybe mine weren't a fresh batch or something? I had heard them described as "...sort of like mini-cheese sticks in that they are battered and fried pieces of cheese"... I guess I was expecting them to be a little melty then...but they weren't at all. So, slightly disappointed. But, I'm not sure if this was how they were supposed to be or not. Again, my expectations were not met - but I'm not sure if it was what I should have expected since this was my first time. If this IS how they always are - then meh - not impressed. If it wasn't - then maybe my next trip will be better. The Custard was pretty good. I had a caramel cashew sundae made with a caramel cashew custard. It was very tasty. I love the salty, sweet, creamy and crunchiness of this combination. I'd love to get it again. They also have their own root beer at the soda machine - and, being the root beer fanatic I am, I had to try it. As far as root beer's go - it wasn't great. It wasn't terrible - but I wouldn't take it over Barq's, A&W or Mug - ever. It wasn't terrible - but, just didn't have that rich, root beer taste I love so much. Also, in the restaurant itself - they will bring the food to your table - which was nice. Everyone in the store was incredibly helpful and they make sure the place is spotless. Always someone going around picking up things, cleaning and they even offered to remove some of the garbage from our table. Very nice. All in all - Culver's was good - I'd probably give it a 3.5 stars if I could. I think it's not quite a 4 but better than an average 3 star rating. So, I went ahead and gave it a 4 anyway since I do believe it to be better than your average fast food joint. read more

Went there in drive thru , then had to go back after we got on our way cause the Sunday was bitter and nasty, big chucks of ice ect. All all they did is give me a coupon for another Sunday after driving away turn around and coming all the way back and that's all they could say. I am not happy with this location. read more

I dined at Culver's yesterday for the first time and what a great experience! I had seen the Halloween pics of one of my facebook friends showing their employees dressed up for Halloween, so it prompted me to go in for a visit. My friend suggested I try one of their specialty burgers, and I did - and it was so delicious! Crinkle Fries are my favorite, and they were steaming hot! And since it was my first visit, it came with a coupon for a free scoop of custard!! What a pleasant surprise - so be sure to let them know it's your first visit! The burger, fries, custard, atmosphere are all definitely a step or two above fast food burger chains. It's worth a try! read more

Where do i begin. It smells disgusting in the restaurant, the hamburger patties were pretty much translucent they were so thin! The cheese on the burgers were not even close to being melted, they didnt put the lettuce, tomato and onion on the burger just all around an awful experience and the food is disgusting. We will NEVER go to another Culver's again. The only thing that was good was the root beer. It wants to be like Dairy Queen soo bad but hell Dairy Queen is better. We usually aren't this picky when it comes to restaurants and usually NEVER complain. read more

Ate inside and was distracted by the stale greasy smell. Probably from the carpet that they have lined in the dining area. How do you clean that? Maybe you replace it every 6 months? I don't know. The food was ok i guess and the selection is more varied than a Wendy's or KFC or other restaurants where it is not fast but cooked to order and brought out. Food was not as good as other Culver's and this restaurant just flat out smells AWFUL. Tileloor is sticky as are most surfaces. Definitely not typical of the chain. 2nd visit - several weeks later - floors still sticky beyond reason, 32 minutes to get our order. I don't know what to make of this place. We've been three times and each time had mixed experiences. Fries for example, always spectacular (as much as fries from a fast food joint can be). Burgers...first time it was good, second time, not so much. And the frozen custard? I'd like to think that I'm kind of an aficionado after having it in 10 states from 22 different spots on a 30 day road trip. So the first time = perfect. Second time it was grainy. Really really grainy. You could see particles of crud in it. So nasty. And the third time it was somewhere in the middle of good and not so much, but the two scoops in my cone, one was normal and the other was the size of a golf ball. When I brought it back up to the counter, the register person shrugged and said that sometimes the person scooping is lazy and the scoop will be smaller and that it happens. My blank look met their blank look. I had to ask for it to be redone. My coming back here a fourth time is not likely. I ran to Culvers this week for a quick and tasty lunch. When I got to the drive thru window I realized when my pursed was knocked over at home that morning, my wallet fell out. I was so embarrassed. I had no way to pay. The manager (I assume) said "hey! Don't worry about it, it happens! I'm going to give you your food, you just come back tomorrow and pay. I trust you!" I had never met this man in my life, but he let me take my lunch and let me come back the next day to pay. The food was fresh and yummy too. I will be back soon! read more

One of my neighbors recommended Culver's as a great place for a burger...we were pleasantly surprised. The place is very clean and the servers are quite friendly, even at the drive-thru. We have been there several times now and tried several of their specialties. The butter burger, cod fillet, Ruben, pot roast sandwich are all quite satisfying. The frozen custard comes in different flavors daily and they have root-beer floats too. I was not a fan of the cheese curds, maybe I need to try them again. I have noticed that they sometimes forget the sauces (horseradish, catsup etc..) so check before you drive away. All in all they are a great company and once the owner even brought out our drive-thru to us..nice family atmosphere. read more

This is how a fast food restaurant should be. They have a huge menu so there is something or everyone. I usually get a cheddar burger. They use real cheddar cheese and it is super tasty. Get a side of cheese curds. They are delish. Not in the least bit healthy but so good. And save room for custard. They have sundaes, concrete mixers (like a blizzard), shakes malts and floats. I have had a sundae and a banana split. The toppings are fresh and they aren't stingy. You want pecans? They don't put a little sprinkle of ground up nothing they put a good helping of roasted pecan halves. They also have a flavor of the day. I worked at Culver's about 8 years ago when I was in high school, so I'll always have a soft spot in my heart when it comes to them. I've never had better onion rings anywhere else. I used to love the custard, but then I moved here to Nashville and all I've ever eaten since is frozen yogurt, so the custard just tasted different after a while. But let me tell you - Cod Filet - THE BEST. Butterburger - DIVINE. Tenders - HEAVEN. You really can't go wrong here. I had the pleasure of trying Culver's for the first time when I met my wife's parents several years ago. Culver's is a restauarnt I always look forward to visiting during each subsequent trip North. When I found out Culver's was coming to Middle Tennessee I couldn't believe it! I have visited Culver's several times and the service lives up to the Middleton, WI locations - very friendly teenage staff (almost an oxymoron nowadays) and the managers are always present, pleasant and can be found delivering food to tables, working the register or just greeting and tahnking customers. This is easily my favorite fast food destination. read more

Wow, this was my first visit to a Culver's and it was more than I expected! The burgers are fresh and juicy and do not resemble fast food at all - it's more like a burger you would get at a diner. My favorite fast food burger used to be Back Yard Burger but I think Culver's has knocked them to second place! The restaurant was clean (including the bathroom) and the staff was friendly. My family has been to this location on at least 6 occasions. The food is adequate for fast food and the custard is excellent. That being said, the inside of this building stinks. Dirty wash rags perhaps? Whatever it is, the problem has gotten to the point that we won't return. Not even to the drive-thru. The last time we were there, my husband all but gagged when we walked in. Shortly afterward we watched a young father and his little boy walk thru and the child was covering his nose. It's repulsive. This has been brought to the attention of management and they have never addressed it. We've found a new spot to go and we're probably not the only ones. read more

First time at Culvers. Had been to Back Yard Burgers and what a disaster that was. At Culvers was greeted as soon as we stepped in. The counter girl super friendly and helpful. My burger was hot and fresh. Ingredients grade A. Fries hot and crisp. Wife's fish sandwich was made of real fish, not a McDonald's processed phish. Plenty of condiments. Place bright and clean. Portions big. Got it all, courtesy,service,great quick food, and a thank you on the way out. A++. read more

Sad to say but the food here has become pretty inconsistent. We usually come for the frozen custard and about half the time it turns out gritty and grainy and not well mixed. We lived in Wisconsin and never had this happen at any culver's up there despite countless trips, so there is clearly something wrong going on here. I asked the staff about it and they just said that yes, it happens sometimes and nobody knows why. Will probably start trying the other location in Hendersonville as it's about the same distance for us. If you go to this one, definitely ask for a sample of the custard before ordering. When it's right it's incredible, but when it's gritty and grainy it's a sad way to spend your 700 calories. read more

This place is good. So why just a 3? Because it's fast food and besides... It's really hard to mess up a burger, fries and a shake.

We ordered four fried chicken breast and four legs. We picked them up and when we got home found they had shorted us two breasts and two legs. We called expecting them to tell us to come back and retrieve the missing items. We had a big surprise. They asked for our address and within fifteen minutes the remainder of our order was delivered to our front door. The young person apologized and we found a gift card with our order. That is true customer service and we will return. Oh, the chicken was great second only to the downtown Franklin Puckets. read more
