Stopped at Culver's and went through the drive through. Ordered a butter burger for myself, spicy chicken sandwich for my daughter and burger kids meal for my son. Our food was good. We had no complaints as we truly enjoyed everything. Typically at Culver's after you pay, they place a sticker in your mirror and ask you to pull up so they can bring your food out. AVOID THIS PLACE. Worst. Service. Ever. My wife and I had heard of the quality of Culver's ice cream, so went to get some. First time buying ice cream here. Were "greeted" by a small, elderly, pinched-face female with all the personality of an angle grinder. She was unable to satisfactorily explain the ice cream flavors (not posted, and apparently only two), since the posted menu is inadequate and confusing. When I placed my order (waffle cone, chocolate) she claimed no mixers or sprinkles came with cones. Where is that posted? On delivery, my "waffle cone" turned out to be a plastic cup. I pointed this out to Miss Personality, and she claimed I had "changed my order." Maybe she could be trained to listen before interrupting when orders are given. On my one previous visit to this Cave Creek Rd location, I tried the widely advertised "butter burger." I love burgers, but this one was the worst. Thin, squashed, overcooked, greasy, flavorless. One sandwich -- the Reuben -- was tolerable, but still not great. Even so, the parking lot was full (first day of schools' summer vacation) so I don't expect much improvement from this management. ADDITION: Got a response from "Manager" that said please follow up at "ContactCulvers.com". I did that. Crickets. I had never been to Culver's so I had to try it. It's a chain from Wisconsin. My son had the butter burger and said it was the best burger he'd ever had. They actually have a veggie burger there so I got that It was ok but the cheese wasn't even melted and it was a bit dry. The French fries were average, a little uncooked in the middle. The onion rings were deep fried to perfection. I'm not even sure there was an onion in there but they were crispy. By scanning our receipt and answering a survey we were able to get a free custard dessert. It was pretty good very sweet. I want to go back and try the fried cheese curds. We dined in the restaurant and it was a bit dirty but they had someone walking through the restaurant to make sure everything was ok and that is when he told us how to get the free dessert. read more

First time ever at a Culvers. I just assumed it was fast food & wanting to grab something quick before a little roadtrip, I made the mistake of trying their drive thru. After you order & pay, they do not give you your food through the window. They direct you to park in the parking lot off to the side of the location & you sit & wait & wait...and wait. 25 minutes later, they finally come out with your food, but is it yours? No, they are bringing it to another vehicle even though you put the little ticket number in the window (which no one told us to do, we just assumed that was the only way they could identify which of many cars the order was for). After bringing it to 3 other cars, they brought it to us! If you ever eat here, do yourself a favor and just go inside & eat. The grilled chicken sandwich was delicious & their fries were really good as well. Probably won't go back again though, because contrary to what it looks like, it is NOT a fast food drive through. read more

We tried to order on the app but it was unavailable at this location, so we ordered in the drive thru. The staff was clearly very overwhelmed and in the weeds. We paid and were asked to wait in the side parking lot for our food. We waited for 26 minutes! With zero explanation or apology. We had our toddler with us and zoomed home to eat. When we opened our order two of the burgers were incorrect, missing requested toppings and we didn't have the cheese sauce for our French fries. Super bummed. And the food wasn't even piping hot, just basically warm. We were more than disappointed. read more

Food is always good, but they mess up the order Every Single time. We pass by at least weekly so we get culver's often after kid sports practice... for convenience. But it always turns out to be anything but convenient when we have to run back for everything that they forget. It happens if they are crazy busy or if I'm the only one in the line. It happens if I order there or ahead of time. The manager was genuinely apologetic on the phone yesterday, but also argued with the team mended who messed up while I sat there and listened. Well I came early and tried to use there application but it wouldn't let me order because there were no times available for my order. I then tried the drive up speaker didn't work drove to the window and beep my horn to get someone to take my order. I ordered a butter burger with bacon and catups a small onion ring medium Rootbeer and a larger concrete mixer with hot caramel and hot fudge. Got my order in a few minutes. But my butter burger didn't have the bacon on it so I sent it back when they brought my concrete mixer to me they redid my butter burger and it's was really good. I tried not to read any reviews but my experience seams to be the norm here. But I will try to come back and try it again. Because the butter burger was very good. Better than Five Guys or Wendy's at least the taste and freshness of the burger!!!! Maybe next time the application will work or the drive up speaker will work! read more

Have eaten at this location twice. Both times the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They offered helpful suggestions. Which ended up being delicious. Ambiance was clean and stocked condiments. Food was very good. Went on National French Fry Day, their crinkle cut fries are awesome. Had butter burger and mushroom burger, both were delicious. I went to this location for lunch with a coworker and ordered my food to go so I could eat and take the rest with me. When I started on my fries, they were covered in an extreme amount of salt so much that I ended up with a sodium hangover the next day and couldn't work. I even tried shaking the fries in the bag to remove the excess, but the amount they dumped on them was ridiculous. I called the manager to let her know, and she showed zero concern. No accountability, no apology. This place is dangerous with how they handle food. If you care about your health, avoid this location. They'll serve you something that can make you sick and then shrug it off. read more

Another complaint at this Culver's on Cave Creek and 101 just north of the 101. I came in and ordered chicken strips and got home and they taste like fish sticks instead of chicken strips. The cook is putting chicken strips in the same fryer as the fish strips making the chicken strips taste like fish. If you're going to cook chicken strips, cook them in a separate fryer..... Do not contaminate the chicken strips with stupid fish sticks. And I personally don't eat fish at all... so I hope you correct this problem. I came in 3 days ago. Have you ever gone to a fast food restaurant and been told you can't order because they have too many orders? That's what happened today. After waiting over 15 minutes in line with only two people in front of me, I overhead a very young looking manager tell the cashier they could not take any more orders, because the cooks had too much food to prepare. He didn't tell the 12 of us in line, but the cashier let me know. You'd think they'd give some sort of coupon or something for wasting their time. Nope. Not even an apology. It's my fault though. I had forgotten my last experience with this location where I had to wait 30 minutes in the drive thru with zero explanation. Yikes! First, replace/refresh your signage! Second, we went through the drive thru because it didn't look busy... Later, we realize they have Everyone pull into a parking slot until they bring your order....6 cars are waiting. Then, the manager comes out about 10 minutes after waiting saying one of the items we purchased (one they are promoting) the machine is broken. Oh Boy, things happen- but, then we waited probably another 20 minutes for our order....definitely not a quick stop/fast food location. As far as the taste- it's fast food. It's hot and good. Crispy chicken sandwich and fries. It was good. Culvers does have taste better than other FF imo. My problem is that you drive thru, pay- get a post it and pull forward OR park somewhere. When you get your food no ketchup! No sauces. And no one around. What am I supposed to do get back in the drive-through? Get out of my car. Go in and get ketchup?. I just find it. So annoying what percentage of people order Frys don't want to catch up? Called at 3 when I was told there would be a manager on duty (Sat at Appx 2:45) . Called again at 4:00 because the manager wasn't there at 3:00. Was then told Pete, Chris and George own the store. George only comes before opening. Chris 1x week and Pete whenever he feels like it. All of the managers they hire keep quitting. Seems a little suspect. But considering the original reason I was trying to speak to a manager in the first place -make a suggestion of Brianna being moved to a different position -order taking when she describes the cement mixer as basically vomit...... meanwhile Shannon at the next window was an ABSOLUTE DARLING and should be given a raise! I sincerely hope the franchiser revokes their ownership. And will be requesting as much on behalf of the employees who are working as hard as they can to keep that place afloat. Wouldn't be surprised to review the health inspectors report. Food is a 5/10 at best. I went for a meal and left with a DR. Pepper. Refunded..... because Brianna couldn't place my order. Thanks. The staff is outstanding and helpful. The burgers look like McDonalds - sloppy and inedible, yet once you put it back together, it's not bad. The ice cream is good. I was warned not to use the drive through and glad I didn't when I saw the pile of cars waiting for their orders (it was lunchtime). I really go to Culver's because they are so expensive but I decided to give it a shot since it was close by. I spent over 25 minutes waiting in the parking lot for them to bring me my food. There had to be 10 or 12 cars parked there waiting to get their order. Nothing was moving. It was just sitting there. When they finally brought me my burger, I was shocked when I bit into it and it was cold. It tasted like the meat had been cooked and then refrigerated. It wasn't even warm and the bun was stale. I've never experienced that at Culvers before, but somebody should be losing their job today. Not the girls who are out there in the heat, trying to get the bags to the cars, but whoever is running the line in the back is either off, lazy or just doesn't care. My girlfriend and I came in to order a small vanilla custard and and small chocolate custard they told us to pull ahead and wait and we waited 30 mins for our order we didn't want to be those people and go inside and make a ruckus. We go inside and our order is just sitting there so we grab it then get questioned after they told us it was our order.
