    Spicy chicken sandwich
    Lesley M.

I stopped in for a quick to-go lunch only to find out that my sandwich was free!! The chicken on the sandwiches are now crispier and very juicy. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with a side of fries and cheese sauce. The chicken sandwich was a solid 8.5/10. I feel like this location is always busy but I do appreciate how sweet the employees are every time I stop in. Thank you Culver's!

We're in Chicago for a few days, staying at the Fairfield Marriott. After reading yelp reviews, we decided to walk across the street and try Culver's. We're from California so have never been to a Culver's. We were pleasantly impressed! I ordered the Strawberry Fields salad that came with grilled chicken and it was delicious. The produce tasted fresh. My daughter ordered the butter burger with fries, and they were the yummy crinkle cut fries. I sneaked a few from her and can attest to their deliciousness. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and the service was prompt. Would definitely recommend.

The ice cream really hit the spot and came with so much for the sizes we ordered. We didn't get food and this is my first time here, but I will definitely be coming back!

    Pork Sandwich

Typical for a chain. I was craving a pork loin sandwich since I was in the Midwest but I wasn't "mid" enough so their pork sandwich will have to do. It's a reasonable facsimile I guess. The pretzel bites with cheese sauce were alright. They are famous for their shakes, custard, and concrete whatevers. They seem to make most people happy. I haven't had any lately but it seems they were okay the last time I had one many years okay. Service was good, prices were average, store was clean.

    A great burger awaits

Everything a burger place should be. Freshly cooked beef, cheese, lots of choice of condiments: the Culver's Butter Burger. Sides such as fries, onions rings and cheese curds are really good. Service is courteous and fast. Made to order fresh and served fast. The seating in clean and comfortable. As I write an employee is sweeping up. Wish we had Culver's In California.

Double bacon cheeseburger partially gnawed on. I was hongry

When in the Midwest, expect chains; boring, unhealthy, fast food chains.

And wow, I haven't seen such a big, festive, and popular fast food restaurant grand opening in a long time. The last fast food grand opening that I witnessed that was as big and popular and created such a fuss might have been either a Naf Naf or a Chick Fil-A grand opening many years ago in Naperville. This was quite a bash that Guzman y Gomez conducted on their grand opening today. The crowd, including ourselves, were attracted by the $5 deal on burritos and burrito bowls. We came in at about 4:45pm and there were police directing traffic, advertising sign holders standing along busy Mannheim Rd, a 3-man band playing at the entrance, and also a modest queue to enter and order. The place was hopping and it was festive for sure. I was told GYG does this at all of the grand openings for their stores, and that's cool! Well, we ordered a carryout burrito with beef brisket and pinto beans and also a burrito bowl with flank steak and pinto beans. Even with so many customers, we still had only a 10 minute wait for the food prep. The burrito and burrito bowl were tip-top fresh and delicious and at $5 were 40% off of their regular $8.30 price. There were a ton of employees all busy and looking coordinated and GYG did a good job being prepared for the all day crush today. Their store is big and bright, and has a patio section as well as a drive thru. Congratulations on a very successful grand opening day and welcome to Des Plaines! Tomorrow, July 18, they commence with their regular pricing and product offerings.

A mariachi band played while the line grew and eventually wrapped around the building. It was extremely well managed. The grand opening offered a limited menu. She liked her mild steak burrito, and my spicy brisket burrito was just about perfect. They were both huge. For supper, I went back for their brisket bowl, and it was just as good. I was in the mood for old-fashioned crispy beef tacos the other day and returned to try those. They were better than I expected. Thumbs up!

I love how you can customize your bowl and choose from a variety of sauces. I got the gochujang sauce, but it was a little too strong for my liking; I was also not a huge fan of the fried chicken since it tasted very chewy vs crispy and did not taste like real chicken to me. The veggies and sweet potato noodles were very yummy and fresh though. The ingredients pair very well together, so I might need just need to pick a different protein next time. I will say that the bowl was packed and very filling though, so I did enjoy how I got a nice quick meal that was customizable. I was not able to see the ambiance of the restaurant since we ordered delivery, but I'll definitely check out the restaurant again in-person when I get a chance. It's basically a build your own bowl but with a Korean food twist!
