I visited Culver's last Friday and it was a great experience. I only knew Culver's to be in Missouri, so I was excited to find one when I moved to San Antonio! When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by multiple "Welcome to Culver's"!!! After looking at the menu, I decided to get the Double Bacon Burger basket with a shake! Pro tip: they offer student discounts with an ID! With that discount and two $1 off coupons my whole meal was less than $10! It was too much for me to eat, so I did have some leftovers. Overall great meal, the meat was a little buttery which made my bun a little soggy, but with a butter burger, that's to be expected. As a fan of all things agriculture, especially dairy cows and dairy products, I will continue to support Culver's because of their investment into agriculture education and support of local farmers. My 1 star review is based on this location's poor customer service, not the food quality. First - I went to this location on Labor Day 2021 around lunchtime. It was moderately busy. I ordered a culver burger meal and halfway through my meal, I went to refill my drink. When I came back to my table, my entire table was cleaned and the food was thrown away by an older male worker who was working the floor. I understand that was not his intent, but DANG, you couldn't wait to see if a customer was coming right back to the table. Obviously, people get refills or go to the restroom. I'm sure he saw my food was halfway uneaten. I told the cashier worker what happened, but the shift lead only offered to give me a free burger. I told her my ENTIRE MEAL was thrown away, not just the burger! I'm not understanding why it was a problem to give me another free meal when it was THEIR WORKER who threw my food away. Second - I ordered a concrete dessert midway through my meal, but after waiting for nearly 30 minutes, I went back to the counter and the worker said, "Ohh, we totally forgot about your order, we'll make it now" THIS is the type of careless workers at this location. I have lived in SA over 15 years and have never tried this place. No real reason why just never had. Decided to give it a try. I had the deluxe burger with chesse meal with onion rings and a strawberry shake. Went through the drive thru, which took a while. Can't be too mad though since everything is made to order. The burger was good, I like that they use red onion on the burger. It had lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo. I think next time I would add ketchup or mustard to the burger. The onion rings were fresh and my mom really like them. The strawberry shake was incredibly thick, but really tasty. Overall, not a bad experience and if I am in the area I would go here again. Every time I visit this location, and place an order, my order is always wrong. I went and gave the company a 3rd chance and once again, it was wrong. Instead of being provided with Outstanding Service by the GM, Sarina, I was greeted with attitude and no accountability for their mistake by her, the Manager Jermaine nor the Owner, Mello. Have you been sleeping on this place? If you have, run, don't walk. This is the best fast food burger anywhere around and I've eaten a lot of burgers. The patties are seasoned beautifully, the produce is fresh, and the buns are toasted to perfection. My husband is a very harsh critics when it comes to many things including hamburgers and loved the hamburgers here so much so that he got a second burger because admittedly the burgers are pretty small but, they're inexpensive. I also ordered the cheese curds and onion rings which I always enjoy and they have awesome options on the fountain for beverages. Everything I've ordered on the menu is delicious and fresh made. This is a fast casual restaurant, where you order at the counter, and they bring your food out to you. There CCFis a drive through. I've never received bad service here, only great. I wish it was closer because I would be there all the time. Heads up, they don't have the GOOD ranch, but everything else makes up for it. We got butter burgers and they were fresh and juicy. Overall the burger was great but I felt like the burger needed more lettuce. They went really skimp on the lettuce. This is my first time trying this place out. I have never heard of Culvers until today. What an experience. I try not to hand out 5 star reviews unless the business is extraordinary. As soon as I walked into the building I noticed the employees were genuinely happy. When we get to the register that happiness continued. The guy that took my order was really friendly and patient. I visited here for the first time last week. There's been a lot of commercials on tv for them during the past month so I've been wanting to try - but the only location here is about ten miles from where I live. Anway, I finally made it & happy I did. I got the fish sandwich basket with onion rings. (I don't eat beef) Had to try the root beer as well. The sandwich was delicious. It's not a huge sandwich, but so very satisfying & tasty. High quality. Onion rings were great. The root beer was too sweet for my taste. Almost like I wonder if the carbonation might have been off. But, it may be just me. I don't drink a lot of soda, but I've always loved a good root beer and the reviews had me really anticipating a treat! I will try it again the next time just to make sure. Their lobby is back open if you do not want to order through the drive-thru. I would recommend going inside their lobby to place an order. Since it can take a while to receive your order through the drive-thru. Their burgers and sides are always hot and fresh! The ButterBurgers are tasty. We usually order from the value meal menu which is a single cheese butter burger or a single bacon cheese burger with a small order of crinkle cut fries and a drink. It's a great deal! Then we usually finish up the meal with a custard sundae. I love the turtle sundae with caramel, chocolate sauce and pecans. My husband likes his sundae with bananas, caramel and cashews. You really can't go wrong- as all the toppings are fresh and a great addition to the creamy, indulgent custard ice cream. The service staff are so friendly and welcoming, they always greet with a smile. Wisconsin Burgers! This is a Wisconsin legend. They're proud of their cheesehead roots here. This fast food burger and custard chain serves up some yummo burgers. It's a bold statement to advertise your "Wisconsin Beef" right here in Texas, where we're incredibly proud of our own beef. But they grill up some good burgers. They're known for their Butter Burgers, named so for the bun, which I guess is drenched in Wisconsin butter from Wisconsin heifers. The burger was thick, with lots of fresh toppings. The bun was the best part of it- moist and fresh. It made for a thicker burger than Whataburger. What's with putting a pickle on the top of the burger? They belong on the inside of the burger - gah! The fries were crinkly cut. They have fried cheese curds! I'd never had such a thing in the Lone Star State- wads of cheese dropped in the fryer, so they're gooey and warm inside. Delicious! Culver's also offers their own in-house root beer. Yay for small batch sodas! The restaurant was clean! It used to be a Mr. Cod, but has been really upgraded with a cool look inside and out. Hold the custard, do I smell cheese? Don't leave without tasting Wisconsin's finest creation...Cheese Curds! If you are a fan of the Reuben sandwich then you have come to the right place, although their burgers are great it's not every fast food chain that has an amazing Reuben on their menu. Avoid this place. They are taking your charging for things you don't order. They refuse to ring in their regular burger when you order it, instead charging you more for for deluxe burger. Eva was the wonderful lady that helped me with my order. She was very patient with me which I greatly appreciated so I didn't feel rushed. The inside of the restaurant wasn't terribly dirty, but I did see several employees cleaning tables and wiping things down which is always a plus in my book.
