Ever since I moved to San Antonio, I've seen these P Terry burger stand places everywhere. Today me and my daughter were looking for a quick lunch after a long day. Immediately upon entering, we noticed how clean the restaurant was. The staff greeted us and promptly took our order. The wait was minimal and the food tasted great. I'm not a fan of fast food burgers, but these were worth the price. Under $20 for two combos is a steal in 2025. They also give you a very generous helping of fries. I moved to SA from Austin, and so naturally I have a P Terrys addiction. I love P Terrys because the food always tastes fresh and their burgers aren't so heavy & greasy. I will say that certain P Terrys locations pay more attention to their fry quality, and this location can be hit or miss!! Their fries are only good when they're fresh, and quickly become too oily/ greasy. When their fries are spot on though- they're some of my favorite! The shakes are also delicious and I love to check out the seasonal flavors. We've gone through the drive through here and eaten inside, and the restaurant has plenty of seating and is kept clean. I love the P Terry's values of using fresh ingredients and their support of the community. After the Kerville flooding they donated a lot of money, and the owners seem to be kind & honest people. They also keep their prices lower than any other fast food chains of this quality. They're in the HEB/ Costco tier of businesses in my eyes. read more

I have to say I'm impressed. Our burgers were seasoned very well, juicy pattys and the fries were some of the best we've had with fast food. We really enjoyed that everything was fresh, all natural, and when looking at the nutritional menu online- we knew every ingredient that was going into the food. We definitely don't think this is the best burger place by any means (burger boy snob) but we preferred it to McDonald's, etc. We also tried the Oreo shake & the root beer shake. Both shakes were thick and super creamy. The root beer was a little too sweet for our tastes but we thought the Oreo shake was perfection. My only real complaint: the lettuce wrap was a huge mess. I probably would just go bun less next time. They wrapped it in a bunch of tiny pieces of lettuce that just kept falling and was more annoying to me than anything else. We also didn't really taste the "special sauce". Idk if it wasn't added or just not super flavorful but we couldn't tell if it had it or not. Have visited twice this week! The first visit, being our first visit ever to any PTs... was excellent! Those fries. They are so amazing. Retro sofa covers are pretty cool. The place is amazingly clean and you can see everything the cooks are doing. Altho I'm not sure at some places that's a good or a bad thing. Second visit which I'm still enjoying is great as well. I got my food and my burger was ice cold! I took it to the front and the young man seemed confused but a lady quickly stepped in and just got right on making me a new one. It was super hot and she wanted no time. When I say the young man was confused I didn't mean he was being rude. He was just like how in the world is it cold. The other lady, obviously more experienced was like who cares! Let's get her another one. I liked that very much as I really wanted to eat at the same time as my son as we came together!
