This is my go to spot when I'm running late in the mornings since very few places are open early mornings. Everything is made well and fast and has reasonable prices. It's not extravagant food, but every meal I have there tastes reasonably good and the place is cozy. Everyone is nice. I will return the next time I'm feeling stressed.

Large yet cozy cafe right on Geary. Run by a friendly Korean family that offers a large selection of coffee/tea drinks along with pastries, deli sandwiches, bagels and more. Prices are good, atmosphere is calm (lots of potted plants), and there are plenty of tables to sit and outlets if needed. Wifi is stable and fast.

So tasty, fresh and hot. The staff is so friendly and nice. Lots of pretty plants inside and soothing music. It's a great spot and I'm happy to have discovered it. Will try other sandwiches here in the future! Thank you

I had a hard time choosing between matcha drinks so all my friends and I got different drinks to try. I was a bit nervous seeing the batch make their matcha but the matcha profile was very strong. My favorite would probably be the matcha yuzu latte or the strawberry matcha latte. The strawberry foam was a cream cheese foam so it made it so creamy. I'm mainly taking a star away is because they batch made and for a matcha latte average around $9 which is crazy for the portions. I heard great things about their coffee so I definitely need to try that next.

I had never tried matcha soft serve before, and it was refreshing--perfect for a day that was neither too cold nor too hot. I was a little worried that eating that much matcha might keep me awake all night, but that wasn't the case, and I was glad. I would come back again, especially if they have another ice cream promotion in the future. Hopefully there will be another similar community event in the future.

I have gone to Blackbird a handful of times and have enjoyed the experience each time. Blackbird is primarily a bookstore, but they do have an outdoor window where you can order drinks ranging from matcha (Rocky's Matcha, if you're curious about which brand they use), lattes, and tea. They also carry a good amount of pastries (even mid-day, they have a lot of goodies), which I really appreciated. When you order your drink, you have to enter inside the bookstore to wait for your drink to be called, but you can take the time to stroll around and look at their book selection and trinkets. Heads up: the seating here is limited but very lovely. Inside, there are a couple of community tables, but their outdoor area is absolutely magical, with lush greenery and benches for you to enjoy your drinks. This time around, I got one of their seasonal drinks, a honey lavender vanilla latte, and I paired it with an Earl Grey olive oil loaf. The portion of the pastry was generous and moist, while the icing was not too sweet. Overall, a great pick for a cafe if you're in the area.

Matcha latte with whole milk : It's very savory which is great, unsweetened by default. I thought this was one of the better matchas I've had if you want to be able to taste the matcha strongly. Olive oil spelt cake: It reminds me of pound cake. Not that sweet except the frosting/icing. It was okay but as someone who's not as fond of that kind of cakey texture, I'd probably not get it again. They have a really lovely garden and patio in the back. There is also a bathroom. The acoustics and set up for events isn't great, though. It was hard for me to concentrate on the speaker for the book talk since you can hear the noises from the cafe behind and also the sounds of other store customers all around you. That was the only downside, but I think it's a very charming bookstore otherwise.

On a sunny Market street stroll in San Francisco Don Juan de la Matcha landed at Oishii Matcha. Inside I scrolled and ordered using the kiosk. Since it was hot with the sun was out in the city I got the purple yam the Ube ice cream not on a cone but on a croffle ( part flakey croissant and waffle in SF). The Ube ice cream was not too sweet and was tasty and the croffle was soft and a bit crispy. I then had to wash it down with a refreshing Matcha Mango Latte with foam.
