I went to this place when I lived in the neighborhood. I was a regular for 5 years and cannot tell you how frustrated I am that, this place doesn't have 5 stars. The food is always hot, the drinks are always made with so much care & love, and the produce is fresh. This is one of my favorite coworking/remote working spots near me for their numerous seats, long hours (for a cafe), solid Wi-Fi, cheap eats, and nice workers! I usually come by multiple times a month and stay for the whole day. I don't usually buy coffee here - I'm a bigger fan of their bagel sandwiches and salads. Workers have always been super friendly and talkative to me. I have also tried to practice my Spanish with them! Lots of seating with counters and a sofa! Always a pretty clean space. Tends to have more customers in the early morning and when school gets out. I personally think it's a great space in the Divisadero/Lower Pacific Heights area and will continue to support! read more

We went to Cumaica to get my coffee fix. I had a large house coffee and my husband had a hot mocha with almond milk. Both were excellent and my husband said his was the best mocha he has had. We also ordered a carrot bread and a banana nut chocolate bread. Both were very good and the chocolate added to the banana bread was exceptional. Service was quick and friendly. The walk in entrance is clean and inviting with a great selection of snacks and burritos in an open air case. There also is a menu board with a large assortment of prepared sandwich and bagel options to be made to order. I highly recommend it, You will not be disappointed. read more

Nothing special about this coffee shop except how unfriendly the staff is. I walked in on a Monday morning. It wasn't busy the staff wasn't stressed taking orders. Went up to the counter and said "Good morning!" ...crickets... For the rest of my one sided interaction, not a word. No "Welcome", no "Good morning", no "Thank you", no "Have a good day" ....total silence while looking at me. Starbucks is just a block away. My biggest worry was that an artisanal coffee shop in pacific heights would be too bougie and expensive BUT the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the food was very good and not at all overpriced. Worst of all, someone walked in on me in the bathroom with a key even though I had locked the door and when I asked the staff what happened, they were rude and unhelpful and said they "don't watch the bathrooms". Late Lunch via Cumaica , only an image of the food because my focus was on getting in and out given my car was questionably parked :) As for the shop it was very spacious, clean, well organized, and the women that helped me were very pleasant. My meal, a very filling & tasty Tuna Pasta Salad which would easily have been enough for 2 if partnered with a Salad or 1/2 Sandwich. No Salad for me though :) I still had some more work to do so I partnered it with a Yummy Pastry. To be honest I do have a bag of Salad in the Fridge, but there is probably a greater then 50% chance it will meet the same fate as the last 2 (green can). Lox bagel...just remember that. lox bagel. Had that while I waited for my b patisserie baked goods to be boxed. It's right across the street. I was told it was delicious. It was. Perfect blend of your everything bagel, cream cheese and delicious lox with capers and purple onion slices. I enjoyed it on our drive to Sacramento so I cannot complain. Someone else got a regular bagel with cream cheese and said it had the perfect amount of cream cheese to bagel and it was very nice and warm. I don't understand any of the bad reviews because it seems to be a local spot, totally clean, and with solid coffee and food. They have enough to satisfy meat eaters and vegans. The workers were really nice and service was super efficient. Loved the bagel sandwich selection! There's also lots of seating if you need to eat or do simple work. **Actually a 3.5 but rounded up for great service. I think this is a nice cafe in the area! My dirty chai was a little too strong (I think from cinnamon?) which was a little weird but not bad. Great little neighborhood spot! I came in at 12ish on a Saturday and snagged their last 4 bagels! I got a smattering of onion, jalapeño cheddar, and wheat! The bagels pretty good, but the cream cheese was the star of the show. This definitely made a good hangover meal! read more

This place has the perfect combination of breakfast items I have been looking for. I usually have breakfast downtown but I thought I would venture out here today. I ordered a veggie Bagel which is a Bagel with cream cheese and assorted veggies. This is hard to find. I usually have to get a egg with some kind of meat. I also got a tea and a fruit salad. I have been to many places and they never have fruit salad ready in the morning. I love having fruit in the morning. There are plenty places to sit. A good variety of drinks and grab and go options. They always get my order wrong meaning my usual order is a sausage egg and cheese and without fail when I check the bagel before I leave it never has cheese on it. Most of the time when I walk up to the counter I have to interrupt their conversations to ask if someone can take my order. Seems like a fun place to work though since they are having so much fun behind the counter. When the order is right the food is good. read more

I ordered a raspberry Italian soda, after I paid she then said there's no raspberry flavor . I told her strawberry would be fine and she made it quickly. Then when I received the drink, it had zero flavor tasted like just the club soda . When I approached her with this issue, she drank the syrup by itself and said it sweet . Like obviously the syrup is sweet alone ...I then told her to try it with the soda she refused . I asked to change the drink she said it was fine then tried to charge me another $7. When I told her I'm not going to pay for another drink when you didn't make the first one correctly, she said not my problem you need to like it . I told her who are you to tell me what I'm supposed to like ? She then got so frustrated and agreed to make me another drink so furiously after the back and fourth and slammed it on the counter and walked off . So I tasted that one, which no effort was put into, and threw it away . When I came back to ask for her name to tell the manager, she went hiding into a side room and refused to speak with me . Left a very expensive down vest in the sitting area. Immediately called and was treated very rudely on phone. "we don't have time to check". When I insisted, the woman running the coffee bar said they found it and would hold it. I returned a week later ( sick, could not travel to SF that same week) and was told they no longer had it. When I inquired how it might have gone from found to missing I was told I was very rude and that they didn't have it. I guess whomever works there and kept it needed it more than I did.
