Well to start off I walked into the store on 08/19/2020 I in Lynwood Ca Mexico plaza. Should of know it's called Mexico plaza for a reason. I was welcomed by the man at the door. But as I walked around the store and stopped to look at some products. I felt strange that no one offered to help me with any assistance. So I looked around and saw people coming in.and of court he were Hispanic. They were offers help immediately. I stood by the tablet section. For maybe about 10 mins and raise my hand up like I was a grade school kid just to get assistance. So basically I left the store. And said let me try another store in Huntington Park Ca . And the same thing happened there. Well I guess they only love Mexican and Hispanic people 2 very sad and kinda embarrassing moments in the same day. Racism is so much still around. OMG this place is a huge headache. They sale: Furniture, appliances, cell phones, electronics, kitchens items, lamps, bikes, AC's/Fans, etc... You get the point.... The only reason I gave this 2 stars is due to the sales lady that helped us. She was very nice and she kew that we were frustrated over a 2 day period. We were here on Saturday & Sunday because my fiance was approved here for credit. Saturday we waited about 3 hrs then had to return on Sunday due to some tech issues and bring proof of address, etc... Overall the customer services is okay but the lady Iris that helped us was great! Everything in the store is WAYYYYYYYYY overpriced but if you need to build your credit or can not afford an item you really need this is the place to go. If you ever had credit with curacao you never paid for and decided to fix it, then good luck because you'll have a hell of a bad time trying to get that done with them. I downloaded a credit repair app to see how much I owed in unpaid credit and to my surprise, it came to a total of $1,035. I checked to see that it was from Curacao so I decided to finally get it fixed. I went to the Plaza Mexico location and the customer service representative who attended to my situation at the time was being difficult as hell. He asks me about the current phone number I have on there, which I totally forgot and won't change it because of "privacy policies." He was being a dick afterwards so I had to dig deeper as to were I can get my credit settled. Luckily, I stumbled upon HP Sears (which is Curacao's collective agency) and their customer service is full of dickheads and one of them was kind enough to help me get everything settled. I paid the settlement fee and from there I had to show the store proof that everything was paid off so I can get them off my case. They were reluctant to close everything down, but in the end, it went towards my favor. I was relieved when I didn't have to owe this piece of shit store any more payments. Oh yeah, YOUR CREDIT DOESN'T EVEN GO UP WHEN YOU OPEN IT WITH THEM! Beware of this store and fix your credit somewhere else. read more

So disappointed, I wish I could give zero stars. So last fall I came to this store with the intent of leaving with a washing machine because my current was in need of an upgrade. First off we had to pretty much flag down help because the numerous sales associates who were just standing around didn't fathom assisting my brother and I. When I selected the machine I wanted I went to the sales counter and was ready to pay, the cashier asked for my account number and I told him I'd be using my debit card to purchase it outright. He was visibly shocked and asked "oh what you're paying cash?" As if it was unheard of, I felt slightly offended but at that point I was over that store already. I opted to purchase the 2 year warranty as well pay for delivery. The machine came DAYS after the expected date. When the men came to deliver they worked quickly which is the only plus. FAST FORWARD a year..,. Up until this point I had been very satisfied with the washer itself having no problems whatsoever until this morning. The machine would not start and displayed an error message saying to call for service. Initially I thought no problem right I have a warranty...WRONG. I just left the store and this is what happened. I approached the service desk and explained about the error message. immediately the clerk asked for my name, number and address, I assumed he was pulling up my warranty info. He then asked for my ID and asked if my account was expired, I told him I never had an account that the transaction was cash, apparently cash transactions are unheard of at this store. He then goes on to tell me that there is no way to find the record of my warranty since it was a cash purchase. So basically I paid for a service that I could not use. He was very dismissive. There was no other help offered other than him writing down a service number for me to call, meaning I'd have to pay for it on top of the warranty that wouldn't be honored. I called the number from the store parking lot and if rang continuously with no answer. Fed up I called Curaçao's customer service number and was given the run around and put on hold several times before being told that I could not be helped without my invoice number (which I never received initially). The customer service rep became rude when I asked if I had any other options and snapped "look I'm trying to help you ok" I promptly told her thanks anyway and hung up. So here I am with a non functional machine and out of the hundred plus dollars I paid for this "warranty". I wanted to go to Curaçao thinking it would be a better deal and ended up costing me more in the long run. Only Best Buy for my appliances from here on out. read more

Great place to start or rebuild your credit, careful with the interest rate, 29 APR they will sometimes report to 1 of the 3 credit bureaus, not all three. one of their accounts is a revolving credit,, ie: Credit Card. its about $300 the installment account , will show up on the Credit bureau as maxed out. for example: if you buy $900 worth of stuff, and have $3000 in credit. Curacao will post a balance of $900, so it looks maxed out.. thus dinging your credit score. I still buy from them just because they helped out when rebuilding my credit. read more

Maybe the best indication of how well a retail business functions is how they resolve a problem when they are confronted with it. I had purchased a particular brand of laptop (Toshiba) that wasn't widely available in local stores. The first one I got, about six months ago, came from Curacao, and when I had to buy a replacement for the bride's, I returned there because of the agreeable experience I'd had before. Long story short, the model I wanted was only available in an "open box" version; I bought the last one they had at the store. When I got it home, it was defective. Because this was sold as an "as-is" item, I wasn't sure how this issue was going to be resolved. When I brought it back (less than 24 hours after the original purchase), the assistant manager who had been working the night before, Salvador Cortez, spotted me and asked me what was wrong. They accepted the return without any fuss, and while they could not replace the computer because they were out of stock, they checked a neighbouring store and arranged for me to pick one up there. There were a couple of minor glitches, owing to some issues with processing my credit card (the first purchase had to be canceled and my money refunded, then the new one had to be entered), but throughout the process both Mr Cortez and several other employees were actively engaged in resolving my problem, explainging each step... and being very apologetic about how it was taking a little longer than they had anticipated. On top of that, they offered me a $30 discount on the new computer for my troubles. I really felt the customer service was extraordinary, especially relative to certain other big-box electronics and department stores I have visited (rhymes with "Guest Cry"). I will happily return. Whatever you do, don't buy here. ANYTHING. We stopped by because my mom had seen a couch she wanted to buy some weeks ago and finally decided to buy it here. We came, and the salesman told us if we opened up a credit account with them they would remove the $100 shipping fee. My parents thought it was worth it so we spent like 45 mins just opening up an account. We went back to get the couch and they said unfortunately that promotion wasn't going on anymore. Wasted our time. Manager came over and he said most he could do was take off $80 if we included the express shipping. 130-80 so it was $50. We were ok then. We had guaranteed express shipping the next day within a two hour window. Fine. During this time my mom had been walking around and found a burner we had been needing. We were already there so she decided to buy it. They told her it was the last one and it was the one on display and she said ok. And they said they would have to charge $10 for the assembly fee BECAUSE IT HAD ALREADY BEEN ASSEMBLED AS THE DISPLAY. usually stores will give a discount because it's the display item and it's all scratched! This store wanted to charge an assembly fee. RIDICULOUS. fee for assembly when it was already the display. Smh. Fast forward to the next day... surprise they didn't deliver the couch at all at any time or given us a heads up they wouldn't be delivering. We paid the express shipping. What was the point? Whooa whoa wait a minute they offer warranties on appliances!? Since when? I am reading some of these reviews and people talking about warranties. I was never even told that was an option and when i called Curacao a few months ago to ask about a warranty the gentleman on the phone said no they do not. I am now stuck with this piece of crap LG front loader washer I purchased from them less than a year ago and the problems started the second month. I always thought LG was a reliable brand but after this washer i never want to purchase another major LG appliance that is for sure. On a daily basis i have to lift the washer tilt it back, put two towels under it and open the valve at the bottom to watch a flood of water come rushing out. The rinsing cycles with this machine are horrible. I use just a small amount of all natural liquid detergent because for these types of washers you are really supposed to use just a small amount like a teaspoon, from what i have read. Still... soapy clothes. Now my washer has water left over in the barrel, its just getting worse. This washer cost me 700 through Curacao. I have to agree with the others who posted about customer service. When my husband and i went in the employees looked at us like we had two heads or something. No one acknowledged us the first 10-15 minutes we were in the Lynwood store and they were not busy that particular day. I know employees noticed us and saw us hanging around waiting. Finally a guy comes up to us andtalks. We were inquiring about a deal they had when you purchase a mattress you get a flat screen tv. We asked about it and were told it was only valid for certain mattresses, the high priced ones. I do think Curacao is selective of who they give decent customer service to and that is a shame. My credit limit was increased with them but i have no interest in Curacao any longer so account closed. I checked in to take advantage of the coupon for checking in, coupon was $20 off $100 purchase, they denied the coupon. First, because when you click on coupon it does not show a code, it says to show it to cashier at time of purchase. Since there was no code, they had a hard time confirming the coupon was valid. Then the cashier calls his manager and I am told that coupon can not be applied to current sales. This was not stated as a restriction yet the coupon was denied.
