FOOD TRUCK WEDNESDAYS IN DOWNTOWN SD. They block off B street between India and Columbia. Parking: Good luck finding parking in SD. I usually just walk from work but for those willing to drive down, there is a parking garage for the Santa Fe station near where the food truck festival is held. The entrance for the parking garage is on B st. between Kettner and India. Logistics: There are usually 6-7 food trucks that sometimes vary week over week (although there are some that you find weekly like my favorite - the German food truck Currywurst Frankfurt). You can find their weekly schedule at https://curbsidebites.com/calendar/downtown-san-diego/ I love the concept of having a weekly food truck festival - its a nice change of food options after having eaten everywhere possible for lunch. These are the only cons that I've noticed: Cons: Limited seating/tables - first come first serve or just sit curbside. Limited parking Limited trash cans Food truck options are limted if you visit weekly - either these trucks are the only ones in San Diego or they are the only ones contracted for this festival. I wish they would change it up a bit. But all in all, it is a breath of fresh air in terms of food options in Downtown SD - especially for those who work in the area. My coworkers and I look forward to coming back every Wednesday!

Every Monday they have Mira Mesa Monday Food Truck Gathering in the parking lot of Mira Mesa High School from 6pm-9pm Some of the food trucks to accept credit/debit payments, prices are what you normally pay at any fast food joint Food trucks there, just to name a few: TABE Super Q (Kaminsky's BBQ) Sweet Treats Devilicious Cafe Opera The Dog Shack Fresh Crepes ..and many more So if you have a family with different appetites and you don't feel like arguing on where to eat, hit this place up...but uh...on a MONDAY They do have very few tables and chairs set up, but people usually just sit on the curb by the trucks to enjoy their grub. The wait for your food isn't long either and the customer service at each truck is awesome. We hope to bump into Guy Fieri lol wishful thinking haha but you never know

Website doesn't tell you what trucks will be there. There are always at least 5 trucks but always less than 10 from 5:30-8:00 at Mira Mesa High School. The regulars are the BBQ trucks and the Crepe truck. The others come in rotations and hopefully the one you want is there! I've seen Devilicious every time I've gone but I hear they aren't always there. As with all food trucks, you over pay for small portions! But it is sure tasty, just picture how much butter and oil you would use at home and multiply it by the month you were born (if you were born before May, add 3 to the month you were born) and that is how much butter and oil they use =)

It's Monday today and I wish I was back home in Mira Mesa to try out more goodies! I got some eats from Super Q BBQ, Crepes Bonaparte, and Thai 1 On. All were pretty good and this event in general is awesome. I can't wait to come back home on my next vacay and hit this up!

We were initially aiming for the crispy shawarma however only Mira Mesa and La Mesa does it. So I guess that's next on our list! The wraps were unexpectedly big! This is probably the biggest wrap I ever had! Generous with meat and veggies. Their wagyu egg rolls are definitely must have! Falafel fries is really good too! All of these perfectly paired with their garlic sauces. My favorite is spicy lemon garlic! The staff are very knowledgeable about their menu. It's a food truck set up and there's mini standing tables for alfresco dining. SG was definitely lived up to the title #1 restaurant in the country on Yelp!

Not really an ambience since there's not much as far as a dining room. There are a couple of cocktail tables where you could eat. After ordering online at 20:20pm, my estimated pick up time was 8:39pm and got the order at 9:03pm. The cashier informed me their chicken is taking a while and added extra time to the wait. It probably would've been faster if they weren't so backed up. I ordered the Wagyu beef and chicken shawarma plate for me and my wife to share. I added 3 falafels and pita bread on top of it. The food was still fresh when I got home 15 mins later. Everything was good and just enough for us two. Also, I'm not sure why there's a range of where they may be located on Yelp since this is just a food truck that seems to be permanent at this location.

The staff was very gracious in the face of the huge crowd and a mountain of orders. The location is spacious with plenty of room to line up and tables to sit and eat or wait on orders. The parking was easy too which was a bonus. For food we got two orders of the big greedy with yams, greens, baked beans and the new mushroom rice. I will stress that everything was excellent and we would get this exact order again, but a few particular standouts were 1) Fried Catfish. Our favorite protein by far. It was deliciously seasoned, perfectly fried, and succulently tender, 2) Candied Yams. They were sweet, tender and nicely balanced, 3) Mushroom Parmesan Rice. We only tried this because so many of the other sides were sold out and man are we glad we did. Our family tore this side up! The mushroom parm gravy was smooth and creamy with large chunks of mushroom. Definitely a great addition to the sides list. Our family can't wait to go back and try more of what CBB has to offer. So glad they've got a brick and mortar restaurant now!

Ironically, the OG fish taco ended up being the winner--crispy, flavorful, and delicious even without adding any sauce. The fish ceviche was good, but I personally prefer Oscar's style since I like my fish thinly sliced rather than chopped. Presentation was nice with the orchid and beautifully fanned avocado, but it felt a bit overdone for food truck-style ceviche. I'd rather have a little more seafood than a flower. The octopus ceviche was surprisingly good though--tender and served in huge chunks. I was a little surprised that the octopus + shrimp combo costs more than ordering the octopus and shrimp individually. I expected either a larger portion or better value, but that didn't seem to be the case. Another disappointment was the Sunday daily special. It advertised $1.50 oysters, but I only found out there was a minimum order of six after asking, so I ended up skipping them. Read that they're featured on Netflix Taco Chronicles so I'm definitely gonna be watching it soon
