At curbside you can get a bahn mi and some fresh spring rolls for under $20. The bread is chewy and the fresh rolls are large. The friendly folks at the walk up counter are fun. Some of the finer touches of Vietnamese cuisine are missing such as the overwhelming freshness of the veggies (a touch over cooked and limp in the spring rolls) and also missing is the certain crustiness of the bread roll. Being as this spot is right next to the college I think it will be a welcome addition to the neighborhood lunch options because at the price point it's a decent amount of food.

I've seen Curbside a bunch as their home base spot is across the street at that gas station from Seattle Pacific University in Queen Anne area. Most of the time the same food trucks show up weekly in downtown, well I was able to check Curbside out when they drove on over to Westlake Park in downtown. Thought I'd give them a try and what a great lunch choice! Their menu is pretty big with different selections of spring rolls, bahn mi sandwiches, grilled meat rice plates and combos, vermicelli bowls and even pho. So far I've tried: -Shrimp & Pork Spring Rolls: pretty fresh ingredients, nicely made, good thickness and big. Peanut sauce is darn good and you will want more. -BBQ Pork Bahn Mi: BBQ pork was good, plenty of meat in the sandwich, pickled veg is good, bread is soft on inside and crisp on the outside, pretty fat sandwich, good enough to eat half now and the rest later, but in my case, eat it all now! -Grilled Pork Vermicelli Bowl: they fill the to-go box pretty full, a lot of grilled meat, fresh veggies, fish sauce mix is good, basic but pretty darn good. From my visits, this is a good food truck! The guy at the window is real nice, be sure to be clear & precise on what you want if you substitute anything or have any special requests. Prices are good for a filling lunch option. Doesn't take long to whip up your order. I think their permanent trailer location over by SPU is orange colored, but be sure to look for this non fancy green food truck.

    BBQ Pork Fried Rice

I got Curbside when it was in Bellevue for lunch. I had the fried rice with BBQ Pork. The pork was super flavorful, and had that smokey/char/sweet/salty-ness that you expect from BBQ. It also came with peas & carrots, some pickled carrots/radish, a couple slices of jalapeno, and a couple slices of tomato. The rice was definitely the star. It wasn't greasy, and it was crazy-flavorful and unctuous. They have a really large variety on their menu fried rice, pho, spring rolls, banh mi, egg rolls, and potstickers. So, I will probably come back and try some more of their stuff!

Pretty good little lunch cart here! I got the shrimp spring rolls and pork bahn mi, and was pretty satisfied. The spring rolls are LARGE, so thumbs up on that. The fillings were all fresh, and they included a crunchy egg roll wrapper flute, which I thought provided a great bit of texture. The bahn mi was pretty good too...the bread was fresh and had a nice crust, the pickled veggies were really good, and the jalapeños were nice and spicy :) I wasn't terribly impressed with the pork though...it was a bit dry and not all that flavorful, so I'll probably try a different protein next time.

Don't be fooled by the gutter glam location of this food truck. Food is exceptional without the unnecessary frills.

Curbing my food enthusiasm and filling hunger quotas. A slightly surprising set of entrees offered as the color pigmentation choice of the rice did not meet my subjective expectation. Never the less, it was a well worth gamble as it's buttery flavor continued to compliment the tried true grilled pork. Featuring a large scoop of complex carbohydrates, the spooning of these bites resulted in familiar endorphine kicks and a the silencing of the tremor aches reduced down, unrecognizable to the Richter Growl Scale. With an added bonus of vitamin D coating to go box, additional warmth put the final condiments to complete the meal. The quest for a viet cuisine raid is now complete, and the wallets are liberated, in a non financial disaster kind of way.

Vermicelli Noodles with Grilled Pork to go

This place is definitely American Vietnamese food. The Vietnamese grilled pork came with the Vermicelli or with the fried rice tasted kinda blahh, not much good grilled lemongrass flavor and tough. The peanut sauce came with the spring rolls was yuck, worst peanut sauce I've ever had. Couldn't eat it after first tried. The best thing happened was the fried rice, because it's freshly made, but it's still not very good, I could make much better than that at home.

    Vermecelli noddles. Pretty darn good.

I love Curbside. I probably come here once a week. I don't think i've had a bad thing from here. Their rice combos are great, and everything is set at a good price

It looked packed but I think a lot of people were at the larger pho Bac sup shop (which is associated w The Boat, but The Boat had plenty of seating at 6:30 on a Sunday night. I think what I appreciated most was the service- we had a person who seated us and answered questions about the menu- my partner has some preferences and shared them with the first server but then the second server came by and already knew what my partner had shared with the first server. A great variety of viet dishes you may not be able to find elsewhere!…read more My partner and I chose this place because we were craving soup to help with the cold. We ended up choosing a place close and were not disappointed at all. This restaurant is located off a busy street but it luckily offers a parking lot which can be hard to come by in Seattle. Because we came on the earlier side, we were seated quite quickly :) The space is pretty large so I don't think I would worry about a wait on a weekday. We were very impressed by the options provided. I usually don't find Bun Bo Hue on the menu often which is what my partner ended up ordering. I ordered the Bun rieu which is even harder to come by. We also ordered the crispy butter garlic wings to share which was a perfect choice. The service was very fast and we were pleasantly surprised at how quickly our stuff came out after placing our order. The portions were also HUGE and we both had enough to take home for a second meal. The Bun rieu was super tomatoey and had a rich flavor which the crab. My mom makes Bun rieu at home and I was very much happy with this bowl too, reminded me a lot of how my mom makes it! The Bun Bo Hue was not super spicy but we appreciated being able to customize. The garlic wings were SOOOO good. So crispy and seasoned so well, we would 100% get these again they were so good. We left very full, warm, and satisfied with this pick. The custard duck egg is an excellent starter, with a rich, savory broth that delivers a deep, yolky umami punch. The rau ram oil and herb is such a creative twist that adds the perfect herbal dimension. The radicchio pudding was light and offered a clean, almost grassy brightness without being overwhelming in flavors. Great option for any vegans at the table. The wagyu beef tallow fries were some of the best fries I've ever had. Ultra-crispy, perfectly thick-cut, and deeply flavorful with beef notes shining through, without being too heavy. Like many of the dishes here, perfectly balanced in flavor. The grilled eggplant with whipped tofu and crispy sun chokes was another standout. The tofu whip was so smooth and should be considered a worthy sub for mayo. The eggplant was soft, creamy, and perfectly charred. The garlic rice was incredibly savory and maybe my favorite version of it yet. Packed with the perfect depth of garlicky flavor and seasoning. Finally for dessert - I thought the durian fruit cup was decent, it's great for durian lovers but next time I will be back to try their other desserts. The hollow bread is a must-try. It's fried to perfection, the inside is steamy and the butter it comes with is perfect but the bread alone is so good that it doesn't need it. The perfect touch of roasted sesame. Slightly sweet, it's a delight in textures and perfect in cold weather. The oyster on half shell in happy hour is also a great standard oyster, very fresh, with a nuanced Viet twist in the sauces. Vegetable dip is pretty standard and also delicious, great if you're looking for a healthy starter. Coffee rubbed ribs were fantastic as well and an incredible deal for the size. You have to dip it in the fish sauce or else there is no flavor. Just something minor but I wish the pickled veggies were more separated. It had the cut lines but not fully cut so you had to separate it yourself. The com tam was alright. All of the components you would usually get for a broken rice dish. The meatloaf was really good. The pork on the other hand was a bit too salty for my liking. And you only get one thin piece... soup on the side was good and was a good way to cleanse the palette.
