This was the first and last time I will order from this restaurant. The food was inedible. The portions were very small for $8.99 a dish. The Naan was not authentic. The Saag Paneer was made with frozen spinach and sat in a cup of oil. There were the thinest slices of paneer cheese. The Chicken Biryani was filled with dried chicken pieces and no other ingredients were added except for garam masala spices and a bay leaf. I have a picture for proof. The food was not authentic. This is really a hole in the wall place. The prices are great, a trait difficult to find in this type of food. Sometimes the presentation of the food may have you skeptical, but don't be fooled- the food is consistently delicious! It's a really great alternative to Spice Chambers where you can pay, in my opinion, far too much for a mediocre dining experience. Curry is consistent to a fault, and I fully recommend trying it if you haven't already. read more

Very overpriced for VERY poor quality food. Unfortunately the place we usually go was closed so we went here, big mistake. Ordered the chicken tikka marsala with nan and rice. It was $22, which is more expensive than the place we usually go to. The girl on the phone had told us 15 -20 minutes for the food. When we arrived (20 minutes later) I immediately noticed no other customers were there. A very young girl was at the register who only looked about 13/14 so I assume it was the owners daughter. My order was already there on the counter in a black plastic bag. The young girl ran the card but kept making mistakes so the guy out back (assume it was the owner) came and did it instead. After we arrived home I opened the container to find a oily light pinkish/orange water surrounding the chicken. It looked nothing like the usual vibrant orange thick sauce I usually see. It also didn't smell like chicken tikka masala at all. It tasted like chicken in oily water with no taste to it. It had no spice what so ever. Too gross to eat, I called to verify this actually was chicken tikka marsala the girl verified it was. I asked her why it was not a cream sauce like usual chicken tikka marsala and had no spice/flavor. She replied I had rushed her by showing up too early after I called and placed the order which made no sense. I had called 20 minutes prior to arriving (which is how long she said it would take) and it was already on the counter (in a bag) when I arrived. Then she said everything was mild unless you request spice. Terrible food and customer service. The kids should not be making the customer's food. Will not be returning. read more

When I pulled in to a strip mall, I was a little disappointed. I thought I was going to an actual restaurant and planned to sit at the bar and eat dinner. When I walked in, I nearly walked out. Appearance isn't all that appealing and food is out for display in heating pans. But I was hungry, and I figured don't judge a book by its cover. It's all about the food. I'm glad I stayed! The owner was very friendly and took the time to explain what the dishes of the day were. He even had me try a couple before ordering. I ended up getting the tikka masala and some vegetables. Both were fantastic. As good as any Indian I've had up north. The naan bread is fresh and delicious and they give you plenty. All for under $20. I would give the fifth star, but appearance of the restaurant has to count for something. I know it's a college town, but it doesn't have to look like a frat house! Went here just this past afternoon. The food was good, I won't say anything different about that, the place was dirty, none of the tables wiped and it was quiet. The owner explained the dishes to us, we ordered and ate, the entire meal the owner stayed up front trying to explain that Muslims weren't bad people, the Muslim religion was about peace, we never said anything about it to him to set him off and was just out of the blue , he just went on this meal long rant about that and religion. Had there been any other customers I think he would have cleared them out, he preached about a half hour to us and all about how he's converted 3 people already. Finally he stopped and we paid, we had 2-8$ meals, 2-5$ plates of rice and 2 sodas which the board said were 2$ each. Everything should have been $30. He didn't give me a bill, just rang up on his register for $43 and told me after what the price was, I was gonna just chalk it up to getting screwed and not go back, I wasn't even going to leave a review but I just looked on my online bank app and he added another 15$ to the bill for a tip. Gonna have to call the bank in the morning and have it taken off, will not be back read more

I was so excited to try the food after reading the reviews. Now I am just wondering how this place got 4 great reviews. This is FAR from authentic desi food. Everything tastes like it is prepared from frozen, canned or pre packaged items. The "Chicken tika masala" or "butter chicken" as some know it, is litterally just left over chicken with tomato sauce. No slow cooked eastern spices to be found in anything. Multiple menu listings are actually the same dish. Everything we recieved was cold and extremely boring. Sweets are pre bought, served as homemade, and taste awful. Full menu is not available, only what is out in the hot plates at any particular time. Anyone who calls this authentic must have never had the privilege to expierence a real home cooked Eastern dish. Gave 2 stars for the fresh naan, and pleasant owners. But, would deffinatly not eat here again. read more

I came at night close to closing. Garlic Naan was good. A salad neither good nor necessary. The meat in the chicken curry was good, juicy thigh meat. The sauce had unfortunately separated and was an unattractive two layer soup of tomato and veggie residue and oil/fat. All in all not good enough. read more

I'm a local and Curry is a very welcome addition to our little city's food scene. They offer authentic Indian food (the family that owns and staffs the restaurant are from that part of the world). It's a good value but with limited service and atmosphere. It's best for a quick lunch or takeout. You won't want to choose it for an important evening outing, but the food is really good and completely authentic. read more

This is easily one of my favorite places near downtown Keene. There is always friendly service and the food is amazing and consistent. When something new comes in they INSIST that I try it, and I usually end up taking some home with me. I have found myself driving home many nights with fast food chains on my mind and as I start to drive in that direction, I end up pulling into this establishment and I have never been dissapointed! read more

Stumbled upon this little restaurant on New Year's day. Terrific Indian dishes and hospitality. We were thrilled with our selections of Chicken Tiki Masala, Dal, Yellow Curry, Saag Paneer, and a most tender Karahi Lamb Curry. Everything was served piping hot and was delicious. The owner was very attentive and happy to explain each dish to us. We also enjoyed a generous portion of freshly prepared Naan and a side salad. I come to this place frequently because they have great four-five staples from their menu always ready to serve, but they make the naan fresh, which is always crispy and delicious. I'm excited to discover a new (within the past six months) Indian place in Keene. I ordered a chicken curry, which tasted exactly like I hoped it would. It came with a salad (the salad dressing is nice too), the fresh garlic naan which was incredible, and the mango lassi was great but not overly sweet. The owner is very friendly and pleasant to be around. I sampled some of my mother's dish, a spicy spinach dish which was amazing. I will definitely order that the next time I go here, which will be soon. The bread pudding is a tasty dessert with a light texture. I can't wait to go back. read more

The food is very very delicious, i got spinach and the mixed veggies. They are unbelievably awesome and I got rice pudding for $4 which was incredible and honestly if you think the food is too oily and spicy, you clearly havent had reall authentic food. Have tried this place twice. The food is tasty. But, given that it's a $25 lunch for two people, there are a few disappointments. Cheap little plastic forks and paper plates. Dishes come with free naan, but if you're gluten-free as I am, they will not substitute rice -- you have to pay extra for it (I mean, rice cannot cost any more than naan, right?). The lettuce and cukes and carrots in the little salads have been not fresh at all, each time. Lamb curry is my fave, and it's the only place I've ever seen that serves it with little pieces of bone attached to the meat ... which means that, when you're done, the pile of bones left on your plate is half as big as the nice portion you thought you were getting, plus you've got to be very careful when eating it. The owner is very friendly, and the Colony Mill dining area is lovely ... but we think we'll spend a little more next time and go to the other sit-down Indian restaurant. read more
