Food is delicious but pizzas are generally pretty pricy. The lunch specials are definitely worth, though. $13 for one personal pie (8") of their specialty curry pizzas + a drink. It's $10 for their non-specialties. One thing is that their curry pizzas are really similar to each other. There was basically no difference between some of the pizzas me and my friends got, but thankfully it doesn't affect the price in the lunch specials and they still do taste pretty good. The people who work there are also very nice and pizzas come out fresh and hot! We didn't have to wait very long either. Overall, it wasn't busy at the time we went (afternoon-ish) but that MIGHT differ when UNLV starts up again, since this place is exceptionally close to the campus. read more

I revisited Curry Pizza House located on Maryland and Tropicana. They're easy to find near UNLV, across the street from In N Out. There's plenty of parking in the garage. Inside is a casual atmosphere with aquate seating for a table and high top, and there's good background music. Menu offers a nice selection of pizza, small plates, wings, salad, desserts, beverages, and lunch specials. I ordered light and chose Caesar Salad ($9.99), which is a generous serving and comes with a packet of Caesar dressing. Also had Samosas (2 pieces, $7.99), it has a crunchy exterior and inside is tasty potatoes and peas filling that is mild spicy and flavorful, served with a side of coriander chutney and sweet tamarind chutney, it's very good! When I arrived, they were finishing up my order and the employee kindly went out of her way to tell me the pizza also has green onions and cilantro on top as the garnish and asked me if I wanted the green onions. I said no thanks, and thanked her for warning me because I don't like raw onion! She saved me from having to pick them off. Got the Large Pizza, Half and Half Lamb Kebab & Chicken Tikka. I got the regular crust and it is a little bit on the thicker side, but it's fluffy and soft, but still crispy on the bottom. It makes quite a hefty pizza. Chicken Tikka Pizza -- 3/5 * Pizza was good, but did not taste very Indian inspired, it tasted mostly like a regular chicken pizza. I think it's because it's the white sauce under the cheese, which was just creamy. It would be better with more of a curry sauce. The chicken was well seasoned, but didn't taste exactly like tikka spice, more just a seasoned savory flavor. The chicken was tender and had a good portion. I didn't quite care for the diced tomato on top of the pizza, more of a texture thing, like wet bits while eating it. Lamb Kebab Pizza -- 5/5 * Very flavorful, with a nice curry flavor, and a nice heat. The curry sauce under the cheese was nice, strong and fragrant. The lamb meat was tender and not too gamey it was also spiced very nicely. Definitely give this one a try. Achari Wings -- 5/5 * Wings were moist, tender and quite large. I wasn't sure what Achari was, but I ordered it anyway. It was a nice curry flavor and not too spicy. They advertise a good drink deal as well, $4 beers. The inside is clean and bright with plenty of seeing parking in the area. It's a little difficult, which is the only downfall. I ordered through Yelp since they had a 25% coupon available. We ordered a large pizza half chicken tikka and half tandoori chicken. It took a bit longer than expected for the order to be ready. After arriving, we waited about 20 minutes or so inside for our to go order on top of the 15 minutes it had already taken. Update: I recently moved back to this side of town, so I stopped in for their pizza again and WOW. I'm still blown away. I always order my pizza well-done, and they cooked it perfectly. I got the Tandoori pizza again, but this time I did the second half with Butter Chicken and added jalapeños to the whole thing. I honestly can't decide which one I like more! I usually need ranch with my pizza, but this doesn't even need it. Still one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The customer service was just as amazing as last time. The guy helping us was super pleasant, helped us choose our flavors, and was so genuinely nice. He even opened up the box to show us the pizza to make sure we were happy with it! The place was spotless again, too. I noticed they have $4 draft beers too. Definitely one of the best and most unique pizza spots in Vegas -- I love it. I have been seeing Curry Pizza House all over social media so I finally stopped by to check it out. I really like the idea of fresh dough unique toppings and Indian Italian fusion. I tried the Tandoori wings and the Palak Paneer pizza. The wings did not have as much flavor as I expected honestly they were not flavorful at all ($10 for 5) and the pizza ($20 10 inch specialty) Creative for sure but had a lot of masala paneer which was a little too heavy for my taste. It maybe the best pizza I've had in a very very longtime. The crust is amazing, the ingredients are fresh, and the spices are 100% on point! Love love love it!!!! I ordered the thin crispy crust, its perfect, not too thin. I also got the desi garlic sticks. The veggie pizza had so many veggies on it perfectly cooked and perfect amount of white sauce, the lamb with the curry sauce is just deliciousness!!! I've been wanting to come here for a while now after seeing it featured in the Weekly. The food was good and does a great job combining the flavours of Indian food into a pizza, and it was very filling and leftovers lasted several meals worth, but it was pretty expensive considering everything else. This is a very casual place, with Top 40 bumping and lots of TVs showing the latest sports games. It's an order at the counter place, and I imagine they are more busy on weekends and during the UNLV semester, but we were the only people in there for about an hour before another small group came in as we were leaving. They also had a lot of different alcohol available. I don't think I would come here again due to the fact I could have gotten a large pizza and a Masala for the same price as this fusion pizza. read more

Indian and pizza, honestly a combination that goes together so well! While the name might be deceiving they definitely have more than just pizza. The menu features various apps, pizza, wings and a couple desserts. I did find the location a bit hard to find since my GPS took me elsewhere but it's right across the street from the Thomas and Mac building. There's limited structured parking but lots more parking in the surrounding area. I actually ended up liking the wings more than anything else here. They're baked to perfection, super juicy and flavorful. The curry was my favorite flavor and not too spicy at all. I also enjoyed the desi cheese bread, it had a good amount of spice and flavor. The tikka pizza was ok but I wish it had a bit more Indian flavor to it, it seemed more like a chicken Alfredo pizza to me. Still good though. I work nearby and the staff here are always SO nice when I come in with coworkers for lunch or when we pick up large orders for the office. This is a cute pizzeria across the street from UNLV. There are plenty of tables to sit at. Be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes for your pizza! The food is AMAZING. The pizzas are loaded with toppings and this is truly some of the best pizza I've had in Las Vegas. The dough is just perfect. It was my turn to pick a place off our "where to eat before we move" list and since I was craving some pizza, I settled on Curry Pizza House! (I actually regret putting this on the list since this place also exists in California where I'm moving). We came here Sunday afternoon and luckily we walked into an empty restaurant just to ourselves. The menu is located above the counter and in pamphlet form for those of us were bad eyes, luckily. When we arrived it seemed only one person was working so kudos to him for taking care of everything. I'm going to get this out of the way first, this place isn't cheap. We ordered three things and one drink and it came to over $80 with a 20% tip, so just be prepared for that. For food, I'm just going to break down what I ordered and what I thought of it. Fries- I'll be honest here, for $6 you don't get many fries and I would probably just skip these next time, it really wasn't worth it. That being said, the fries were solid enough and had good enough taste. Curry Wings- It's about $17 for 10 wings which seems to common these days, though I don't love the price. The wings themselves had great flavour and I really did like them. Tandoori Chicken Pizza- The pizza was both my favourite part of the meal, but also a large is going to cost about $32 which is a lot of money for a pizza. The dough was soft, just the way I like it, while the chicken and sauce had great flavour and really did make for a delicious pizza. Overall, Curry Pizza House was a good experience, but one I just don't know if I could justify the price for. The staff was quick and kind, the restaurant itself was clean and looked nice, and the food was pretty dang tasty overall. Would I come back? Absolutely, the food was great, but it's hard to spend $80 on pizza and wings when I can get all you can eat sushi or Korean BBQ for the same price, either way, this place is definitely worth giving a shot if you don't care about the price. read more

Visited today during my gap between classes. The man who took my order was very nice and handed me the lunch menu (which was reasonably priced.) I got an 8 inch pizza which was the perfect size, it left me feeling full but not sluggish like other pizzas do. Restaurant was very clean and employees were nice. The tandoori chicken and butter chicken pizzas were okay but the curry chicken pizza was the best one out of the three. We also go the mango lassi and that was a standard staple and hard to mess up. Very friendly staff with good music playing along with 7 TVs showing sports. The Tandoori Chicken Pizza was an excellent choice. Nice tender flavorful chicken, the white garlic sauce was on point, the bell peppers and onions were crisp, and the tomatoes were fresh. Definitely try this pizza. I've eaten at this place several times in the last year or so and each time the food is delicious, restaurant is clean, service is quick, and staff are friendly and helpful. They have pizzas with traditional Indian ingredients and flavors, and "regular" pizza (pepperoni, etc.). The crusts are more like flatbreads or some sort of ready made bread. It's not an old family recipe or anything, more like a Boboli crust you can buy at the store. The crust does not have a thick edge like you may be used to with traditional pizza. They put the toppings on fresh and run the pizza through a toaster oven. The vegetarian options are a really nice change of pace, too. However, there are some drawbacks. One, this place is insanely noisy even if you are the only one there because the kitchen noise is bad. It's like a screaming competition sometimes to talk to the staff. There is nothing to absorb sound. I've tried to eat here with friends and it's like being inside of a drum competition in a tin can. The scraping and screeching of the chairs is the worst. Most of the tables are huge, designed for groups, so the cacophony is painful. It's also VERY expensive and the sizes aren't huge, particularly since the pizzas don't have traditional crusts that make good leftovers. No fountain drinks and enjoying some refills either as they only have canned drinks. I don't eat here much anymore due to the noise sadly. If I go early on say a Friday for lunch the UNLV crowds aren't big but as someone who likes to eat slowly and enjoy a leisurely meal, this place doesn't cut it anymore. I'd go back if they put wheels on the chairs or some curtains or rugs or literally anything to help with noise. read more
