I ordered the pani puri for a work lunch, it was my first time trying pani puri and I thought it was just ok. I feel like it probably would have been better in person. The menu has many labelled vegan options, next time I would probably try a burrito or bowl instead.

We love this place and everyone we bring here raves about it. Deconstructed samosa is fire if you can handle spice. The thali is a great value for $20 and they have an excellent kids menu. Love the mix of authenticity and modern style cuisine (the tikka masala burrito is great). Food comes out quickly and service is friendly. If you don't like spice, this might not be your establishment. Highly recommend!

We set up a girls dinner date with a few of our other friends and we had the best time! Since we were walk-in's, we sat at the bar, and would have had limited dining time if we were to sit at the table. Tane had a happy hour menu from 5p-6:30p, so we pretty much ordered everything off the happy menu! The menu items were half the price minus the corn ribs which I ordered from the regular menu. Food was amazing, so much umami flavor in every bite! The only thing that I wouldn't give a 5/5 for food was the Da Bao. I would give it a 3/5 only because the whole Bao itself was bland, maybe if the vegan spam was marinated in a glaze would taste better! My friends and I had no room for dessert unfortunately. Overall service was great, and the restaurant is beautiful! The lighting at the bar was perfect to get those yelp worthy/social media worthy pictures!

We walked in and were able to get seated around 5pm on a Sunday! So definitely would try that. Expect to pay sushi level prices though, the chefs are at work crafting these masterpieces.

My friend and I shared the mushroom bao, rigatoni pomodoro and corn pizza. Our favorites were the mushroom bao and corn pizza. I really love the use of coconut milk in the mozzarella. We also opted for the peach galette at the end. The peaches were pretty tart but the ice cream complimented it well. Only con we had that night was the AC was blasting and it got pretty chilly towards the end of our meal.

I came to this restaurant two days in a row because I really enjoyed my first experience…read more Unfortunately, my second visit was noticeably different, and it really highlighted one of the biggest challenges for any restaurant: consistency. First Visit - Nearly 5 Stars On my first visit, I ordered: * Beet Poke * Mushroom Bao * Kale Caesar Salad with Falafel The beet poke was fantastic. It was fresh, light, and packed with seaweed, with a delicious dressing that brought everything together. There were great textures and flavors, and I would have happily ordered it again. The mushroom bao was another standout. The mushroom was perfectly fried, tucked inside a soft, fluffy bao, and topped with a tangy slaw. Great combination of crispy, soft, savory, and acidic. The kale Caesar salad was also delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. At this point, I was thinking 5 stars and was excited enough to come back the very next day. Second Visit - A Different Experience I ordered: * Beet Poke * Mushroom Bao * Kale Caesar Salad * Potato Pizza Unfortunately, things were much more inconsistent. The beet poke was probably the biggest disappointment. There was barely any seaweed, very little textural contrast, and the dressing tasted completely different from the day before. It was also barely dressed. If this had been my first experience with the dish, I honestly would not have ordered it again. The mushroom bao was still good, but it didn't taste the same as the previous day. The slaw was noticeably spicy this time, whereas it hadn't been spicy at all on my first visit. It made me wonder if there were different chefs or if the recipes/preparations simply weren't being followed consistently. The kale Caesar was the one dish that remained consistent, still delicious on day two. The potato pizza was underwhelming and definitely something I wouldn't order again. The flavor combo wasn't working with me. We also got the gluten free crust which was not great. Almost more of a cracker than a pizza crust. The Verdict: If I were reviewing this restaurant based only on my first visit, I would have given it 5 stars. The food was fresh, creative, flavorful, and genuinely memorable. But after coming back the very next day and having several dishes taste noticeably different, I had to take a few stars away. I'm not sure if there were different chefs, different prep, or something else going on behind the scenes, but consistency is such a key part of a great restaurant experience, especially when you're paying restaurant prices. When a dish is fantastic one day and just okay the next, it's hard to know what experience you're actually going to get. The ambience is great, and while the service was friendly, it was also a bit slow. Overall, I still see the potential here, and my first visit was genuinely excellent. I just wish the second visit had lived up to it.

We went at the perfect time before the dinner rush and were greeted by our waiter Dylan. He was quick to answer our questions and offered great recommendations. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich with air fried fries and a pepperoni pizza. I also got a iced matcha horchata. Buffalo chicken sandwich tasted great with not an overpowering vinegar taste but also had that wonderful classic Buffalo wings flavor. The bread was very soft and the coleslaw was actually pretty good. I enjoyed the freshness of it. The fries were very dry and hard to be honest, I'll probably get a salad instead of those next time. The pepperoni pizza was a thin crust and not overly oily and cooked to perfection. No burnt crust or lava temperature cheese. Every bite was a joy. The iced matcha horchata was pretty much just a matcha latte lol. I did not taste any horchata flavoring at all. Not bad if it was just labeled a matcha latte but I probably won't get it again. Overall my visit was enjoyed and I look forward to exploring what the other items on the menu are like. Despite the shortcomings of the fries and the lack of horchata flavoring in my horchata drink I would still say my meal was rather enjoyable. On top of that our server Dylan was outstanding. Checked in at all the right times and was not overbearing but also not lacking in interaction. We did not have to ask for much as he was quick to provide everything we needed. The ambiance and the look of the restaurant was very nice and clean. Music wasn't too loud and the lights weren't too bright or too dim. We ordered a few dishes, starting with the raw oysters with fermented chili sauce and curry leaf ponzu sauce. The shellfish was extremely fresh, and the condiments were refreshing and complemented it perfectly. I particularly loved the ponzu sauce, it was so zesty! We also ordered the jackfruit sliders, and they honestly gave major Mumbai Vada Pav vibes. They were spicy and extremely flavorful; I almost forgot it was jackfruit! The ananas (Pineapple) pani puri was a refreshing flavor bomb! For mains, we got the black truffle cheese naan with cultured butter. I loved the butter; the naan was filled with cheese, and the truffles weren't prominently earthy; hence, they added a touch of umami. We also got the Kali Miri paneer with garlic naan, along with the lamb and squash with quinoa pulao. The paneer and naan were probably the most classic-tasting dish on the table and were deliciously prepared. The lamb and squash were equally good, but the quinoa pulao was the real star, a little spicy and super minty. We also got the dosa, which was good, but it got a bit overshadowed by the other fantastic dishes. The little diner with us got the French toast with jaggery syrup and passion fruit ricotta ice cream, which he totally devoured. While I did not taste the French toast, I did sample the ricotta ice cream, and it was light, fruity, sweet, and slightly tart, but delicious nonetheless. The presentation wasn't performative or chaotic; it was stunning and minimalist. Also, shoutout to Chef Srijith Gopinathan for his distinct take on modern contemporary Indian Cuisine. Service was surprisingly fast even though the restaurant was packed. Dining at Ettan made our family weekend lunch truly memorable.

The menu seems to have changed quite a bit from 2 years ago as I could not find most of the items old reviews on Yelp were referring to lol. So I had to mostly go with my gut feeling: the fried chicken (which is one of this place's signatures), the lamb shank and brisket (shocking to find beef in an Indian restaurant). By the way the manager dropped by and took our order: very patient, very kind, and knowledgeable (you bet) about the menu. The brisket was ordered per manager's recommendation. The starch that comes with the main dishes can be swapped out to your liking. Lamb shank: 5/5. Perfectly cooked, interestingly flavored. I particularly enjoyed the sauce. Finished it all. Fried chicken: 4.5/5. Tasty, flavorful, pairs well with the yogurt sauce that comes with it. Portion is on the small side so beware if you are sharing with over 4 people. Brisket: 2.5/5. The flavor is on point. The sauce that comes with it is good too. But the meat is a bit too dry or stringy for my taste. Perhaps I was too hyped and it did not live up to my expectations. Portion is pretty decent though. Overall I really enjoyed the environment and service here. Seems like a perfect place for business gatherings or special events. At this price point my bar for 5 star would be higher and unfortunately this place did not meet that bar this time. By the way, the waiter kindly offered to provide kid's menu options that are non-spicy as most of the items on the regular menu are spicy to some extent. We liked it hot but the little ones not so much.

This place popped up, and once we parked, we realized it was right by the farmers market... so clearly we had made the right choice. We got there right when they opened, so no wait, and grabbed a table inside near their very pretty bar. I had already stalked the menu a bit and had my order figured out for both of us: pistachio pancakes and the chicken mole breakfast tacos. And honestly, both were excellent and exactly what we needed after a wedding the night before involving a few (too many?) cocktails. The pistachio pancakes were delicious, but DO NOT skip the syrupp. I'm pretty sure there's cardamom in it, and whatever they're doing, it takes the pancakes to another level. And the chicken mole breakfast tacos? I've never actually seen mole incorporated into a breakfast taco before, but it totally works. Because of timing for other errands we came at 10:30 am and they were open on time and ready. Sitting outside or inside is amazing, outside you get the crowd and the sun. Everything is above average in taste and execution. Brunch Tacos mole: chicken mole poblano, scrambled eggs, huitlacoche, tortillas, epazote crema, fried shallots & avocado. Perfect portioning and the salad that came with it had a fantastic dressing. I pulled some chicken out and gave it to my wife and then it was perfect, a bit too overstuff before. The mole and overall taste were quite good though. Chilaquiles: tortilla chips sautéed in chile de árbol-guajillo salsa, topped with queso fresco, cilantro crema, and an egg. My wife loved this so much it made her question every time she didn't order it before. Fried egg sandwich: two over easy eggs on house baked brioche bun, chipotle aioli, avocado, bacon, cheddar cheese, fried shallot. Kids loved this and happily ate the leftover after. Iced Mexican Cafe: delicious iced coffee with a distinct Mexican taste. Distrito Verde: mezcal, basil, lemon, and falernum. Simple but refreshing brunch cocktail, really paired well with the mole tacos. Chips and salsa: These are not free but worth the price. Both the chips and the 2 salsa are of extremely good quality and preparation. Abnormally tasty and the kids went crazy eating it.

Only after my payment was processed did they hand me my food and say, "Thank you." I completely understand that businesses need to protect themselves and ensure orders are paid for before they're released. That's not the issue. It's the way it was handled. As a customer, it felt like I was being treated as if I might take the food and run, rather than being welcomed into a local, family-owned business. A simple greeting, confirming the order, and then politely requesting payment would have made all the difference. Great customer service and protecting your business can absolutely go hand in hand. The food was outstanding, but the experience made me feel unwelcome. Sadly, because of the customer service, I don't see myself returning.
