My iphone SE battery started draining very quickly of late. It seemed to start after the latest IOS update. With no use at all, after charging all night, it would die by about 4pm...always when I needed it. I called Custom iPhones and Repairs and was able to take it in right away. I would barely have had time to get back to my car in the little strip mall before the battery had been replaced and handed back to me. Unfortunately, I had a slightly different experience than most of the other reviewers. The rep at the store was very nice and responsive and service was quick. But my phone repair left my phone worse off than before. I had a small but noticeable crack across the top of my screen, but no other damage to aesthetics or usability. The new screen has a noticeable blue purple tint over everything, changed the touch screen responsiveness for the worse, and now has a bright white spot on the bottom of the phone. I think the screen isn't quite the right size it sits a bit convex/rounded on the phone. I was hoping to get one more year out of this iPhone, but now I will need to get a new one. I would come here again. I came in because I suddenly couldn't hear anyone or be heard during calls,and the aux cable wasn't picking up sound on my iPhone 7plus. Unbeknownst to me the Issue with my device is an issue that Apple has known about and was fixing it at one point but no longer covers the fix - and wanted me to pay $300+ for a new phone or upgrade (for something that was their fault and their crappy product manufacturing). So my screen is cracked to the point that the touch screen on the top half of my phone wasn't working and the bottom half would go dark after a few minutes of use. I researched high and low looking for a place that would fix an iPhone XS Max at a decent price (comparing to the Apple store). I put in a request and got several response. Lorne responded with a quote but I did not list the phone as a Max and Lorne told me he didn't have the part at the time for my phone but would let me know as soon as it comes in. Really?!? A new screen protector was applied which cost $20 instead of $110. The repair was done in minutes. If I had gone to the Apple store it would have taken a few days just to make an appointment and then I would need to leave my laptop with them for a couple of days at least. 1 hour vs a few days is a no brainer. IMy iphone 6 was starting to get down to 60% of battery in just a normal day, so I took it in to Custom Iphones and Repairs for a battery replacement job. After the battery replacement, it was worse than with the old battery. So I opened up the back of the phone and the attached picture shows what I found inside. The battery has had all its maker and date code information erased. My conclusion is that they simply put someone else's old battery into my phone. They were so ashamed of what they had done that they went to the trouble of obliterating all the identity information from the battery which would have normally identified it as a new unit. Do not trust these people to do a battery replacement on your iphone - this is a scamming operation working on the basis that they hope their customers do not know the difference between old batteries and new ones. read more

The screen was bulging out from the frame on my iPhone 6S. Did my homework and figured it was caused by the battery. Went to authorized Apple service center to take advantage of the $29 new battery offer for out of warranty phones. They said they could not do it on premises and my phone would have to be sent back to Apple for service because of the bulging screen. And they added that I would be without my phone for about 10 days and the cost would be close to $200. I left and drove down the road to Custom iPhones & Repairs. Fifteen minutes and $40 later I left with a perfect phone. The battery is new and at 100 percent maximum capacity. And my screen is now flush against the frame. Couldn't ask for better service. I've been here about three times already. Twice for two different iPhone 5S and one time for a 7. The service is always really fast, and I'm not an expert but the prices are definitely cheaper than some other repair stores I have contacted. The repair people are really helpful, and offer different options like off-market glass and other options that can be a cheaper fix. they also always offer to add on a glass screen protector at the end which I have gotten every time, and it actually works. I am very clumsy and would have cracked my phone more times if it were not for the glass protector which shatters before.
