Over the past couple years, the Fine Spotted Cutthroat Trout Tavern has finally found its place as one of the preferred sports bars in Jackson with good American bar food. It's clean and comfortable inside with a good friendly bar staff. Ironically, their pizza is hands done and consistently the best in town! The cheesesteaks hit the spot but the burgers seemed to have slipped a bit, which makes me sad; and if I knew the owner I would suggest removing the Buffalo Burger from the menu just to avoid disappointing others. The small tap selection covers all bases, so even a learned beer snob can't balk at the limited choice. Don't miss this Port of Call! read more

Our FAVORITE place to eat in Jackson!! Amazing Philly's, hot fresh fries that haven't been mass produced and sitting under a heat lamp, great onion rings and the list could go on. I am going to cut Cutty's Grill some slack since it might suffer by association with Teton Gables motel--not the best kind of close neighbor to have. Several years ago in Jackson, there was some kind of scandal that involved the motel, some ladies and nefarious goings-on. Since then, the area around it has had an image problem but Cutty's Grill is not the motel. They are a decent sports bar and local watering hole that beckons when you come into town on highway 22. Since this is Jackson, it is nice that there are businesses like Cutty's that attract the regular Joe or the non-tourist. Jackson is full of fancy places to pay top dollar for a beer or pizza--not here at Cutty's. The prices seem reasonable and the crowd here appear to be regular working folks. That being said, the pizza is pretty good but then I was so hungry from all that fresh Wyoming mountain air. The business is renown for it's authentic Philly cheese steaks and I appreciated that they did take-out so I could just order and take my food to go back to a nearby hotel. 4 YELP STARS for a working class joint that knows how to make a pizza and slap together a juicy Philly cheese steak! read more

Best Philly cheesesteak, around. Whoever is cooking these things, is doing the Lord's work. Having a bad day? Get a cheesesteak. Don't know what to eat? Get a cheesesteak. Dumped by the love of your life? Get a flippin' cheesesteak!!! That's all there is to it. Came in for my last Philly on 9/27. After coming weekly, for months, I can finally say my run is over. Great Philly. That hasn't changed. The only thing that has changed is the attitude of the servers. Though, I understand this is a busy restaurant, the servers obviously want me to leave. Cheesesteak was actually really really delicious! Nice sports bar feel and pretty laid back cool vibe. But the bar is a little on the rough side in terms of service.. could use a little better management with greeting and proper etiquette in serving everyone.. seemed disorganized. Good spot for pub food and a beer... nothing to get overly excited over though. Stopped by for a late lunch after a morning on the mountain before heading out of town. It got the job done, but wasn't all that great food. Went with the buffalo chicken sandwich and ended up having to dump a bunch more hot sauce on it to make it taste like a buffalo chicken. The sweet potato tots caught by eye... even at the $3 up charge. When they came, nothing special and not worth the extra charge at all. Well, I got sick after buying two $28 pizzas. I called the restaurant a day or two after and let them know. I was not looking for anything free. Merely wanting them to know, in case there had been other issues. Being an extreme regular there, I thought they would appreciate the information. I got an email from the owner and was told he would like to speak with me. So, I went down 5 days in a row during business hours. He was only there one of the days. Was told I was there, and he snuck out the back door. Lousy treatment for a customer who had spent a bunch of money there, as well as referring many of our numerous house guests their way. Not much to look at from the outside but super neat inside with a really comfy patio. And they make a killer spicy Bloody Mary! The kids split a 16" pizza and it was really good. Thankfully they couldn't finish it so. .....It's mine now! They also serve a bunch of different Philly's. I like provolone onions and mushrooms and peppers. Would have been 5 star if the shrooms were fresh not canned. And it could have used more onions and peppers. The roll was fresh and squishy soft and the steak was tender. Staff is all really friendly and attentive. Not a touristy place....made my day cuz most everything else in this town is.... read more

Asked the woman at the front desk of our hotel for a good local place for burgers, sandwiches or pizza. Without hesitation she replied Cutty's. Really glad we took her advice. Buffalo chicken sandwich had just the right amount of spice. Chef salad was also very good. Nice local place for a casual lunch or dinner. Clean with a friendly staff. read more

The only things redeeming about this place is the pretty good food and very nice (but very busy) waitress. First time we were here, service was very slow but nothing too bad. Second time, the person who dropped off our wings looked at me like I was stupid when I let her know we ordered boneless wings - then she snatched the wings and walked away without saying a thing. Our waitress came back and saved the day. Basically, don't come here expecting good service (even if it's not your server's fault per se), but you'll probably come away happy with the food itself. read more

We are from Philly and come to Jackson twice a year for 10 years. We just found Cutty's and the cheesesteak and burgers were delicious! You can tell the owner is from Philly. Amazing service as well So we went there 3 days in a row because the cheesesteaks, cheeseburgers and pizza are very good. The first 2 days we had a very nice gentlemen as our server. On our 3rd day the female bartender was our server. First she reprimanded me for not ordering my cheesesteak properly then told me to "read the menu young lady." Well the ingredients I wanted on the cheesesteak were not a cheesesteak listed. Our order came totally wrong. No cheese on the cheeseburger and the wrong cheese on the cheesesteak. No big deal if I hadn't been reprimanded. This service makes you not want to return. read more

I had an awful experience. Our wait was over an hour and our server checked on us once. There was no mozzarella in our mozzarella sticks. The bill was split incorrectly and when we went to speak to the manager she was very rude. Never go here!!! read more

Hanging after running rivers grabbing a beer and food. Got a philly-cheese stake it's amazing, so happy to be back in the town of Jackson. Love coming here the service is great! The beer is ice cold! Bianca is the worst waiter I've ever had in my life. She messed up the order multiple times. Overcharged is for drinks. Took so long to get drinks and check. When the check came she purposely put the tip on because she knew we were not going to tip her and when I tried to talk to management they told me to wait. Never go to Cutty's. Male server was hospitable while female server was rude, short, and more concerned with flirting with her coworker and talking about how horrible kids and being married are (hi, your married with children customers are directly across from you and WELL within earshot). Was in town for 2 nights and found this place on Yelp. First night was a bit of a struggle as they don't have air conditioning (true for a lot of the places we visited in this state), but beyond that we had a fantastic time. Great little place, great food, affordable drinks and super friendly and attentive staff. After trying several other bars and restaurants we returned here for our second night as it was less touristy (even though we were). Definitely a locals hang-out which means it's always good..... stay away from downtown unless you want to be denied a table because all they have is 4 spot(s) and there were only 2 of us (yes this happened and they were unapologetic)... read more
