How, why are they rated 4 stars? I'm giving them 3 out of kindness. Nov 16: Walked in around 5:30pm. Sat at window side table first, then moved to one of the empty bar stools. After about 3 minutes, watching 3 staff members running around like beheaded chickens, and 1 guy right smack in front of me with what appeared as a VERY laid back, IDGAF attitude, I walked out. Probably one of the worst food experiences I've had in a while. Started off with the pretzel appetizer - cheese was some weird gelatinous texture with a bland overly salty flavor to follow. I ordered the Margherita pizza. When it came out, I thought there might have been some sort of mistake, but no, their $17 version of a Margherita pizza is a cheese & tomato slice pizza. There was no tomato sauce whatsoever or mozzarella and fresh basil to top things off. Instead, it was cheap rubbery cheese mixture with tomato slices and dried herb flakes sprinkled over top. Then then instead of a nice wood fired crust, the bottom was charcoal burnt. I had a slice and a half and that was all I could stand. Other people in my group said "Disgusting. I'd rather take frozen pizza over this. A basic Little Caesar's Pizza blows this out of the water." All of the others in my group stated that their food was pretty bland and nothing special. No spice whatsoever in 'The Diablo' sandwich. Burgers and sandwiches are also served alone. If you want fries (which should be a staple burger side) you've gotta order some separately. if the review was just based on the food this is an easy five out of five. Philly cheese steak was delicious. However their ordering process sucks. It does not allow you to deselect stuff forcing you to put in comments to hold something. Case in point I requested no onions on one of the five sandwiches I ordered. When we open up the sandwich it's covered in onions, 13 bucks wasted. read more

This was a hard one, more like 3.5 stars. This place serves your typical bar menu, burgers, cheesteaks, pizzas. Cool atmosphere to grab drinks and a quick bite. We were so glad to find it for lunch and then once we tasted the food, so sad it was our last day....so we went back for dinner! We grew up in Philly and lots and lots of places claim that they have a "philly cheesesteak" and then ask stupid questions like "do you want lettuce and tomato on that?". We knew this place was legit when they advertised that they used Amaroso rolls. We were in HEAVEN! Cheesesteaks were amazing and perfect and the pizza was great too. Traveling from East Tennessee. The food here was absolutely amazing. The Philly cheesesteak pizza is to die for. Other food we ordered was great also. The other people in our party ordered the Nor Eastern philly, buffalo chicken philly, buffalo chicken sandwich and the greek salad. We had lunch here & got a philly on a salad bed instead of bread. It was so yummy. Sat outside & watched some girls play a yard game and had a little view of mountains. Staff was upbeat and accommodating, following Covid standards which is appreciated. Guests though...stop touching everything! Usually, we stick to pizza and cheesesteaks and decided to venture from the norms- nothing crazy a Stromboli, Caesar salad, and a norm, cheesesteak. Stick to the norms- the Stromboli didn't have any sauce in it and had an overwhelming amount of cherry peppers- we chose sausage mushroom and cherry peppers- and got mostly cherry Peppers- a little cheese and no red sauce- and no dipping red sauce- so very underwhelming... Caesar was underwhelming and over priced for what it was- fake parm, crappy processed croutons ... Cheesesteak was the shiny selection. Bummer read more

I was attracted by the curb appeal. Often I find great food at such places. This was not the case at Cutthroat. I had the cheesesteak (plain or classic... maybe traditional). It was dry. It was as if it was cooked before I arrived. I work at the resort, and for resort pricing ($12.50 sandwich alone) this was a poorly put together offering. I added a local beer and sweet potato tots (they were fresh fried) and wound up with a bill (including tip) of $26.20. Were it not for the friendly service, Cutty's would have scored one star. They charged us full price for 2 half toppings. It was ready quickly... And we enjoyed it well enough. Nothing to write home about though. read more

Our FAVORITE place to eat in Jackson!! Amazing Philly's, hot fresh fries that haven't been mass produced and sitting under a heat lamp, great onion rings and the list could go on. Cheesesteak was actually really really delicious! Nice sports bar feel and pretty laid back cool vibe. But the bar is a little on the rough side in terms of service.. could use a little better management with greeting and proper etiquette in serving everyone.. seemed disorganized. Over the past couple years, the Fine Spotted Cutthroat Trout Tavern has finally found its place as one of the preferred sports bars in Jackson with good American bar food. It's clean and comfortable inside with a good friendly bar staff. Ironically, their pizza is hands done and consistently the best in town! The cheesesteaks hit the spot but the burgers seemed to have slipped a bit, which makes me sad; and if I knew the owner I would suggest removing the Buffalo Burger from the menu just to avoid disappointing others. I am going to cut Cutty's Grill some slack since it might suffer by association with Teton Gables motel--not the best kind of close neighbor to have. Several years ago in Jackson, there was some kind of scandal that involved the motel, some ladies and nefarious goings-on. Since then, the area around it has had an image problem but Cutty's Grill is not the motel. They are a decent sports bar and local watering hole that beckons when you come into town on highway 22. Since this is Jackson, it is nice that there are businesses like Cutty's that attract the regular Joe or the non-tourist. Jackson is full of fancy places to pay top dollar for a beer or pizza--not here at Cutty's. The prices seem reasonable and the crowd here appear to be regular working folks. That being said, the pizza is pretty good but then I was so hungry from all that fresh Wyoming mountain air. The business is renown for it's authentic Philly cheese steaks and I appreciated that they did take-out so I could just order and take my food to go back to a nearby hotel. 4 YELP STARS for a working class joint that knows how to make a pizza and slap together a juicy Philly cheese steak! read more

Well, I got sick after buying two $28 pizzas. I called the restaurant a day or two after and let them know. I was not looking for anything free. Merely wanting them to know, in case there had been other issues. Being an extreme regular there, I thought they would appreciate the information. I got an email from the owner and was told he would like to speak with me. So, I went down 5 days in a row during business hours. He was only there one of the days. Was told I was there, and he snuck out the back door. Lousy treatment for a customer who had spent a bunch of money there, as well as referring many of our numerous house guests their way.
