My husband and I are visiting from MA. What can I say? The beer was nice and cold, the haddock chowder was great, the burgers were tasty, but Kevin was the best! We couldn't have asked for better service. Kevin is friendly, prompt, efficient and a true gentleman. We came back on Monday for lunch. Cindy was fantastic and very friendly! We shared a barbarian pizza, which was excellent, even if it's probably a heart attack on a plate! Pepperoni, sausage, bacon and steak. Then we had a fried Twinkie and a fried Snickers bar. I've been vacationing in Camden for 30 years, this winter was my first time going to Cuzzys with my famiily, the food was great and the atmosphere was nice. The reason behind this incredibly frustrating two star review, is because not only did my waitress not make an ounce of eye contact, she did not check up on us, she assumed the money I had in my hand was all for her, the waitress started to walk away wIth the money then turned around after realizing she never asked if I wanted change and proceeded to ask me if I wanted any or if it was all for her. So. This place is a little chaotic. The staff looks like they're going ten million miles an hour to make everyone and their cousin happy. BUT, the food is like pub grub on steroids and super delicious and the staff is super down to earth and friendly as all get out. We even got a pitcher o' beer on the house because they felt they took too long to wait on us....which really was not at all long for what we're use to. All in all, all's I suggest is that the staff chill out before they have a heart attack. Fun atmosphere in the upstairs lounge (darts, ping pong, other games) and a great beverage selection. We came in a large group and most of our food was average. The exceptions were the Cuzzy's fries and the clam chowder, fries were phenom and chowder like warm milk with some clam chunks. Our table couldn't eat any of the chowder. read more

Cool, no-nonsense, two-story pub with two bahs, both full of locals on a Friday aftanoon drinking their bee-yas. Decent menu and prices. The clam chowda was great. The grilled cheese sandwich was probably the worst I evah had: they use some sort of white cheese? Is that an east coast thing...or a Maine thing... makes sense, everything here is so white. I guess I'm used to mine being orange, with more buttery burntness. They made up for it with the huge amount of "round fries", which are potato slices (much like Shakey's Pizza mojos without the battah). The onion rings are a little greasy but good. Not a great wine selection. Great service. Flatscreen in the men's restroom, so you don't miss the Red Sox lose while you're peeing (just a joke from an Angels fan). We were visiting Camden on a week-long vacation and found this little gem. After having a not-so-great experience at another local bar/restaurant nearby the day before (see my other reviews), we decided to try out Cuzzy's. Almost as soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the young man who ended up being our server. He seated us in the front corner, surrounded by windows, which was a great location to people watch. We both ordered from a decent-sized selection of different Burgers. I opted for thick-cut onion rings as my side, while Todd stuck with this fries. Well... what can I say... absolutely phenomenal. The Burgers were juicy and seasoned just right, served on a grilled brioche bun. The service we received was wonderful... attentive, but not overly so; and super friendly. We ended up going back a couple more times during our trip; and were waited on by the same server each time. My husband and I went to Camden for our anniversary and we ate here both days we stayed. The bartenders and waitresses were awesome, very nice and had a sense of humor... Which was nice for a change considering 99% of the Camden population we encountered were snobby and acted as if they were above others in some way. So this place was our third option as we realized everything was closed on a Sunday evening.... We walked in to the bar and it was relatively quiet....two people at the bar, and about four tables with customers... We sat at the bar I soon realized the bartender was also the food runner, host, and waiter....talk about running around! This guy was Kevin, as we found out later, and he reminded me of a spazzed out character from an episode of Seinfeld. That being said he was amazingly gracious, funny, and busted his ass making sure everyone had a cocktail and their food on time! Bloody Mary was delicious and not some crappy tomato juice that was made in a factory in Detroit. It was homemade and came with a dill pickle which was a nice treat! We weren't in a huge rush to order but while we were looking at the menu the chef came out to get water for herself. She overheard us talking about nachos and she asked if she wanted her to put an order in! As Kevin was busy I said hell yeah! Super nice of her and showed great team Work with Kevin! We had the nachos and they were amazing!!! It was served with home made chili and enough jalapeños to make my lips feel like I was hit by a flame thrower. Two guys busting their ass on a Sunday night to make money and are willing to do whatever it takes to make the customers happy and stay longer! We ended up hanging out for 4 hours, trading war stories and having a blast! I really hope the owners see this and show much appreciation to the guys that took care of us today. As a former restaurant employee these guys are what make restaurants succeed. Well be back!!' We came back the next day and were welcomed by Tegan(not sure of spelling). She is equally as rad as Aaron and Kevin and couldn't have been more hospitable! This place is lucky to have such amazing staff!!! They could be making major coin in a big city like Boston or Providence where I am from and have worked in the restaurant business! It takes a certain person to have great conversations with their patrons while being intuitive to new customers and ones that are currently there.....well, I can't say enough about it. Cuzzy's will be our go to spot on our next trip to Camden and hopefully the staff is still around to make our trip that much more enjoyable! I hate to say that due to the reviews I was skeptical about coming here for food, but since we arrived in town late on a Tuesday evening our options were limited. We walked in right after 10:00 PM and found out the kitchen was closed. Linda who was our server/bartender asked the kitchen if they could do 2 more & saved my husband from having to hear my further frustration on how the trip was booked. (We flew out of Chicago at 11:15 to Boston & then drove about another 3.5 hours) Food was fresh & came out quick for us & best part is we didn't feel any rush. I also ordered a burger, medium, but it was served medium-well. Otherwise, it was pretty good. The service was good- friendly and prompt. I would have liked the place to be a bit cleaner though. The cloth napkins needed upgrading, they were clearly washed/sanitary but old stains on them. The floor/carpeting also looked fairly beat. The prices were definitely fair. There were only two men working the restaurant and bar so you would have expected to wait awhile, but no they were working their butts off.
