I liked what they treated customers as VIP. I made huge mistake that I ordered a food not on the menu. I just showed a waitress a picture of dishes. She said she would make for us. Food was not bad and delicious. It was not as same as on the picture but looks like same dishes. After we ate and asked receipt, we were shocked. They were charged $100 for a one food. Originally it was $22. We just added lobster. We were not arguing with that. I came back to my room and found their menu on Yelp web. I recognized I paid too much for foods. I paid about $250 with other dishes. I felt I was a foolish person. They ripped off us because we were visitors from out of town. In this reason I rated 1 star. We love ceviche and we LOVED CVI.CHE! I very rarely come across exceptional restaurants where everything is excellent (decor, music, atmosphere of folks, drinks, exceptional service, inventive great tasting food). But CVI.CHE is that place. We came around 10pm on a Saturday night without reservations and while the host was trying to seat us next door (which has a smaller menu) since they didn't have anymore outdoor seating, we saw two spots become available at the bar and we snagged them. From the moment we sat down, our bartender Junior was exceptional. He made one of the best passionfruit margaritas I have ever had. The menu is so extensive. We started off with the Cause de Cangrego Con Palta (Peruvian causa with crabmeat). This was such a surprising delight to eat because it was a combination of starch, meat, salty, pepper, fried capers, and then almonds for crunch/texture). Of course we had to try one of the ceviches, and we went with the La Caleta de Pucusana which had a tiger's milk base, with shrimp and scallops. My first time ever having ceviche was Peruvian style and it's my favorite way to eat ceviche, yet I don't think I've had it that way since I first tried it in Miami 10 years ago! This ceviche was perfectly executed and the sauce was so flavorful. We did ask for some extra vegetables (onions, Peruvian corn, and cilantro) because there was just a lot of thick cuts of meat and I wanted something to break up eating a whole bunch of raw meat. My boyfriend and I decided to split our next dish. While we were gonna order the Arroz con Pollo but they were out of the chicken they use for it. Junior mentioned that they did have one piece of chicken left for some fried rice fi we wanted it. We decided to get the fried rice not knowing the treat we were in store for because that was the second-best fried rice I've ever had (surprisingly my favorite fried rice was this grilled blue crab fried rice I discovered while in grad school in Lafayette, Indiana). But the fried rice at Cvi.che was citrusy, cooked to perfection with an insane amount of veggies and fried eggs so every bite was the perfect bite. I had 3 passionfruit margaritas, but my boyfriend also tried the Pisco sour which was delightful. My boo also asked them to give him the strongest thing they had so Junior gave us this plantation rum which packed some heat and messed my hunni up for awhile (but that's what he got asking for the strongest thing at a Peruvian restaurant, lol). We stayed talking to our fellow barmates and Junior (who were both from Cuba). Junior was so kind to show us pictures of Cuba since we'd never been -- including some of him at a club in a cave! We ended up staying until closing having a ball and since my hunni is a chef and a musician, he recognized that they had switched over from the radio hits they were playing and were playing Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" which was their last call song. Such a lovely gesture and so perfect. Cvi.Che was one of my best dining experiences ever. Hats off to to the chef and his beautiful team of folks. I can't wait to come back. read more

Excellent food, ambiance, service, and location! What could be better? Well I guess they could turn down the AC at night but other than that I have no suggestions for improvement! Parking in this area was a challenge on a Friday night as there is construction on one of the main one-way streets blocking several parking spaces, and there are lots of attractions in the area. We finally found a spot in the middle section between the Ferris wheel/waterfront area and the downtown area. The restaurant was very busy when we first drove by around 845pm, but by the time we found parking and got inside after 9pm we were able to get a table right away. Our server was very friendly and helpful, and also quite patient as we hemmed and hawed over what to order! In the end we enjoyed everything that was set before us, both food and drink. While I was cold initially, the meal warmed me up and we left completely satiated. Everything from start to finish was excellent here - I can't say enough what a great experience it was! read more

4.5 stars - probably one of my favorite meals by far during a recent trip to Miami!! My friend and I both had CVICHE on our list of must-visits during our trip, and decided to come for dinner. To start off, the drinks here are dangerously yummy and strong - you'll definitely start feeling buzzed after 1-2 drinks. For the food, we stuck to our overordering tendencies and shared the mixed ceviche, octopus, lomo saltado, and arroz con pollo. The portion sizes here are ENORMOUS - this could have easily fed 3-4 people comfortably. We started off with the ceviche which was so incredibly flavorful and refreshing, and by far one of the best ceviches I've had. The fish and seafood were both fresh and offered a good variety. Highly recommend this for anyone who's struggling with the menu options. The octopus was recommended by our waiter & was perfectly tender. The entrees came next and the portion far exceeded my expectations. Lomo saltado was yummy but erred a bit on the saltier side - it definitely needed to be eaten with the rice or something else to balance out the salt. But everything about it was good: the sauce, the onions & tomatoes, and the cook on the beef. Arroz con pollo was also yummy, & the rice was still good as leftovers! The ambiance and decor of this place was absolutely stunning. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful when making your order decisions. The food.... Is nothing short of the best ceviche I've ever had. I ordered a Mocktail and my fiancé ordered an old fashioned. He was thinking of ordering something light and fruity to go along with the ambiance and the meal to come, but was craving an old fashioned. He was super impressed with the flavor and ordered a couple because they were that good! We ordered the Tetra Ceviche that provides 4 different proteins and 4 different flavors. We picked this spot because we wanted ceviche but their pastas, rice, and even drinks were beyond expectation, especially for a chain. Starting with our server Dora- she was amazing. Excellent recommendations and really made our experience memorable. There was a birthday and a bachelorette table and the whole team sang and celebrated each occasion. If you're looking to do something for a special occasion, this would be perfect for you. Let's talk about the food - where do I even start?! By far the best Peruvian food I've ever had. Dora started us with some complimentary fried plantains. Very crispy and yummy alone, but also great dipped in the ceviche sauces later on. Dora recommended the ceviche threesome with oysters and yes, it's the best of all worlds. Three different types of ceviche and the oysters were delicious without even needing to add cocktail sauce or anything- they were that good. Yes. Pastas were recommended by friends so we got the Linguini Mar y Tierra 105 and also the Mi Favorito Rib Eye. Both pastas delicious. The linguini was creamy and flavorful. I was craving some rice so I ordered the Pescado a lo Macho without any expectation or knowing what it was. It ended up being excellent as Dora had reassured. Dora also recommended the Parilla Mochica for the freshest seafood and it was pricey but well worth the experience. We saw a few tables with some sushi rolls that looked really good and ordered one for ourselves too. Really great choice and looks to be some sort of special called the Furai. The biggest thing for me at a seafood restaurant is the fishy stench that, if not seasoned well, can remain especially for lobsters. This was not the case here. They really know their flavors well. Our table of 6 also ordered a pitcher of sangria which was split perfectly between each of us, a glass per person. I will warn that it was quite strong and I usually like my drinks strong, but I had to take it slowly. I would definitely recommend booking a reservation as we did. I visited Cviche 105 in south beach a couple of weeks ago for dinner. We were looking for something yummy and casual and this place is always a good option. We started with some drinks and I ordered the Mango Chilcano. It was refreshing and super tasty! Always my to go drink at a Peruvian restaurant. My boyfriend got the classic Pisco Sour and it was really good too! For appetizers, we always go with the Fried Yucas with Huancaina Sauce which is a great vegetarian option (you can have the potatoes instead the yuccas if preferred). The sauce was good but really liquidy, this is supposed to be a cream, more compact but overall it was good. For entrees, my boyfriend got the Aji de Gallina Tacu Tacu with Lomo and seafood, and I could tell it was amazing! He ate half of it in like 20 seconds. It's a pretty big plate so he took half of it home. He said the Aji de Gallina was delicious (that's his favorite Peruvian dish) and the lomo and seafood had the perfect smoky taste. I wanted to do the Furia roll but without any fish (yes, I just wanted the cream cheese and veggies but it seems is already pre-prepared... which I thought rolls were completely fresh of the day, so the server told me they did have a veggie roll which it wasn't in the menu. So this is my second time within the last couple of months coming to this restaurant to realize that they do have vegetarian options besides the few in the menu but you need to ask them for those. So veggie roll was pretty good, it was missing a type of sauce but it was good and it came with plantain on top which was the best part. For dessert, we ordered the Lucuma mouse and it was delicious! We made a last minute reservation, were seated promptly then the fun began! Our waiter, Emilio, came over to share menus and made a few suggestions then left us to our own devices to figure out what we were going to consume and enjoy. With so much to choose from, it was really hard narrowing down our selections. I wasnt in a drinking mood so I ordered from the "Driver's menu" - the Lima-Nade, the combination of flavors were superb - tart and sweet with lots of spice (not to be confused with heat/spicy). I really wanted a pisco sour but my stomach just couldnt handle it. Such a shame because they looked amazing. We started with the Fuente Pacifico which is a sampler platter of their amazing Ceviche - we had the yellow tail which had an amazing soy glaze - super light and yummy. Their award winning ceviche which I think was the Ganador Mixto, the Tiradito and the super star - a fluffy potato cake with tuna purée, fish roe and gold flakes- OH MY DAMN! I mean just wowwwwwww! Next up we ordered the causa de cangrejo which was good but not a super star that I was hoping for - still tasty none the less. The last dish we ordered was the "Iron Man". The scallops were a little overcooked but the filet mignon was so tender you could cut it with a fork! The hominy and chunks of cheese were delish as were the shrimps. The atmosphere is swanky and posh and the social distancing was on point... at least inside. All in all, I will definitely be returning to this spot. What an experience. It's no secret why this spot has a slew of great reviews. With so much different dishes to choose from, it seriously is a challenge to pick which one to order! It's definitely a spot that is necessary to visit over and over again. Every single dish that we ordered was a winner. The ceviche was very fresh and the sauces it came with were so exciting! The lilikoi (passion fruit) pisco sour was surprisingly really good--I say surprising because I haven't had egg whites in a beverage before but our lovely waitress, Dora, suggested it. Wow! So glad she did! Only thing with this location are the bathrooms! Two small individual one stall bathrooms that everyone has to wait and form a line for. I could have done without the potatoes but looking at the menu I think they are an accompaniment with all dishes. Lomo Saltado - Soft pieces of steak, bright tomatoes, Peruvian yellow peppers and Arequipan onions sautéed in a fiery wok. Served with crunchy French fries and delicious white rice. This came on a platter literally. Smelled yummy. The sauce was DIVINE!!!!! But the fries soaked it all up. You can't order more sauce bcus it's made to order!!!!! Catch that brag!!!!!! We both agreed that had we paid more attention or asked more questions we would have 86 the fries in this dish. The beef was fork tender and the onions had a crunch still. The service was great. The atmosphere feels like fine dining but like a family friendly place also. I love the little mini racks at each table for your jacket or purse. While visiting Miami Beach, a friend and I sought out our first meal and chose CVI.CHE 105! Huge venue with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are all very attentive, hospitable, and knowledgeable of their menu. We ordered several items to share, here's what we thought: Pisco Sours - we each got a guava and cucumber version. Both were tasty, I'm sure the others are great too. Huge glass, made stronger than what I've had elsewhere but still incredibly sippable. Pulpito a La Herradura - DELICIOUS! The octopus is tender and the potatoes are great too. The food relies heavily on the sauce, rather plain without it. Ceviche Ganador - how could we not choose the "Award Winner"? We opted for the full mixto and asked for the spice to be on the side. Glad we did because the spicy part is SUPER spicy. Absolutely loved the flavors of this one, enjoyed best when you get a little bit of everything in one bites my favorite is a bite of fish with some bites of corn, onion, and roasted corn. Good food on Miami Beach! I called around 9PM to see what the wait time was like since some Yelp reviews said to have a reservation. The person who picked up the phone said it's about a 25 minute wait with no need for reservations for the rest of the night. I came around 10PM and there was no wait. There's indoor and outdoor (sidewalk) seating here, but I recommend sitting inside as the restaurant is beautifully decorated. This was my first time having Peruvian food, so I didn't know what to order (aside from ceviche of course). The girl to my left had a really nice looking plate of food so I asked her what it was and got the same thing (Jaleon Imperial)! FOOD: *Complementary cancha y platanos (corn nuts and plantain chips) which are lightly salted and a crunchy snack while you wait for your food. *Jaleon Imperial ($22.95): This plate can be shared because it's very heavy. It's battered fish and seafood served with tartar sauce, accompanied with yucas, yellow pepper aioli, and chalaquita ("salsa"). *La Caleta de Pucusana ($18.95): This ceviche looks and tastes like nothing I've had before. It honestly brings all the other ceviche to shame. The seafood tasted fresh, and the citric, creamy marinade complemented the seafood well. Despite being a large portion, it was a light meal. It's made up of cubed white fish, shrimp, and scallops. *Papas a la Huancaina ($7.95): The server told us that the dish would be a little cold. I didn't know what to expect but the dish was yummy! It's very soft boiled potatoes (albeit only 3 pieces) with a creamy sauce and part of a boiled egg and olive. DRINK: Pina colada: This Pina Colada was strong! One block away from Lincoln Road. This place has a cute patio. The service was good. The food was good. I enjoyed the upscale setting at the Brickell location. We parked at the public parking area and walked to the restaurant. It was crowded inside. The prices seem reasonable. My daughter felt the the Ceviche was a bit stingy and had fibers as you chew. We ordered the traditional fish Ceviche and a Sushi Roll Acevichado ( they do have regular soy sauce for dipping). I thought it all good food. I'd probably go again without my daughter. read more
