My sister and I needed several vaccines and scheduled an appointment online through their app. I was very easy to get a same-day appointment, and it looks like they also offer walk-ins, although you might have a bit of a longer wait. Unfortunately, my sister's new insurance isn't covered at CVS for the vaccines needed (BCBS!), the the pharmacist called her in advance to let her know and she was able to schedule at Walgreens, which did accept her insurance. I showed up to my appointment on time and after a few minutes wait, the pharmacist was able to assist me. It was a quick process, and while I can't say it was painless, the pharmacist did a wonderful job and was very nice. They even have snacks available while you wait a few minutes after your vaccine(s), to ensure there are no reactions. I tried the gluten-free blue corn chips and they were good! All in all, I was done with my vaccine and waiting period in ~15 minutes, and ready to head about my day. Unfortunately, shots still hurt, but at least I know I'll be better protected! The gentleman at the front was also helpful in helping me check out with my items, since my $5 off $20 coupon wasn't working at the self-checkout (pro tip, you get this for scheduling your vaccine with CVS!!) and he was able to figure it out. All in all, this CVS was clean, well organized, well stocked, and everyone I interacted with was friendly and efficient. Thank you!! read more

We started using this CVS for some prescriptions as we can get a 90 day supply. We started when the mail order pharmacy had some errors occur, and we simply could not get it fixed. This time the doctor had sent a prescription to another pharmacy that we use in error. This was going to be one of those going to the pharmacy every month for refills rather than paying the same price for 90 days. I made a call and the pharmacist called the other pharmacy and had the prescription transferred. A hint, call back in about an hour to confirm they were successful. They were. I was told when the prescription would be ready and got a text right on the time they. They have cleaned up the store, but as most businesses they are trying hard to hire staff. So, sometimes their is a wait in line scene, but when there are lots of people getting shots when you are trying to pick up a prescription, just be patient. I have not purchased anything in the store except for the occasional prescription, so I really can't give input on that. Note that entry and exit can be difficult so watch for people and cars. read more

It said the headphones was on sale for $8.99. When I went to the self checkout the girl had to come ring me up. And the headphones come up as $17.99. So I asked her if they were on sale for $8 and she said only if I had my CVS card. She didn't even bother to ask if I wanted them which I didn't. I couldn't even remove the item. This pharmacy is the worst. This pharmacy has always had issues, but now beyond help. The staff are always seriously busy, unable to fill prescriptions in a timely manner, unable to give advice and generally non-customer service related. After using this pharmacy for multiple years it has continued to devolve in multiple areas. Today was the last I will ever step foot in this pharmacy. I went through two weeks of attempting to get a prescription to meet their requirements and have filled. They were unable to do so for changing reasons all on their part. Don't let them get away with, "...that's Corporate, not us". Their owned by the same Corporation. Research their current lawsuits! They dispense pills and that seems to be their only concern or interest. Any other CVS must be better. When the pharmacist is challenged on her capability, she didn't want to be yelled at. That's the only response you can give to people who change their requirements, don't give good customer service and then challenge your own intelligence to the point of idiocy. They moved across the street into a bigger, cleaner store a few years ago. Initially it was much better than the old one. Lately though, the people in the pharmacy are way overworked. There's always a line whether in the store or at the drive thru. It also takes longer for the prescription to be refilled. At the front of the store there is rarely a clerk at the cash register or to help with self-pay. I've just been using self-pay but sometimes it demands a clerk or manager. Then I have to hunt one down somewhere in the store. Serious lack of employees. read more

Always a ridiculous wait because they are understaffed. The pharmacist said they were short handed and couldn't find full time employees. It's unfortunate that customers are the ones that suffer do to mismanagement and understaffing at the branch. One would think that during the flu season they'd be more prepared. I was told I would be receiving their last flu shot as they were out. On top of that I was told there was no hand sanitizer. They were also out of gloves to give the flu shot. Wow what terrible customer service. I got a self pay prescription sent here for an epi pen and needed an invoice for a third party to pay. The pharmacy tech (bigger dude in blue scrubs) was incredibly rude and of no help. Why work at a CVS if you are terrible at interacting with people? Avoid at all costs! I get all my medicine's here because the insurance my work provides forces me to use CVS. They are rather quick and I cant complain about the quality of service from the pharmacy. The pharmacy prices are also great. Everything else here sucks and way too expensive. From sodas to shampoo its like they are waiting rip you off. They used to have reasonably priced cigarettes but they decided it was immoral to sell them anymore. I don't smoke that much so its no big deal but it was an added benefit that they don't have any longer. The best thing here is the chase ATM nine times out of ten when I walk in the door here its walk to the back of the store get some cash and leave. I wanted to give them a lower score but the folks in the pharmacy are nice. All the employees here have actually always been very polite to me. My doctor sent in a prescription at 5 pm. I called at 645 to see if it was ready. Was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I showed up 40 minutes later and was asked to circle the parking lot, get back in line, they hadn't counted the pills yet. Not sure how incompetent you can be. Only because I'm not able to give zero stars. I transferred my scripts from the Lakeway location to this location due to me moving. I've had trouble since day one! I can't transfer this one, or they are on backorder for that one. The young guy with the beard has caused me more grief transferring scripts himself to other locations, because they don't have the medication. He's tells me he's taken care of it, but he didn't. He had been rude to me several times. Customers don't deserve this type of treatment. I'm about to change pharmacies. read more

I hate the Pharmacy here, but I do like the store. I hate the Pharmacy because the assistants have absolutely no respect for your privacy. Luckily I was in there picking up prescriptions for my bird flu symptoms, but I have no doubt she wouldn't have a problem telling the store that your "hemorrhoid and herpes medications are now available for pickup in the pharmacy!" She did a great job projecting while she read aloud each and every medication, and the dosages, that had been recently called in from the emergency clinic when I showed up to get them. I am sure the 109 year old granny in the back of the line could recite the information back to you, word for word. I only keep coming back because I absolutely love the male Pharmacist here. He rocks your socks. He knows each and every drug interaction and you can quiz him on his over the counter medical supply knowledge for hours. He never gets mad and he's never too busy for you. The store is pretty clean and the staff is such a bunch of characters. The ladies who work here are funny and smiley and talk to all of the nice little boys and girls who come to the counter. They talk to me, too. I am not little anymore though. A little low in the stars because this is a smaller CVS, and they don't have the variety of items a larger store might have. And they have Suzy ScreamALot working as the Pharmacy Assistant. if I could give this place less than one star, I totally would. I usually roll my eyes at reviews that start that way, but in this case, it applies. This store really doesn't offer much in terms of stock, and it's probably one of the smallest CVS locations I've ever visited. There's a lot that it doesn't offer, and it's little more than a glorified convenience store. The staff, for the most part, sucks. I've had one cashier give me 'tude for no reason at all on more than one occasion. In one instance, I asked for a small discount on a pint of chocolate and vanilla ice cream that had clearly melted and merged into one flavor. It was the last pint in this flavor. The cashier rudely told me no, so I left without buying anything. Losing a sale was better than compensating for damaged product. There are a few here who seem to like customers and having jobs, but the staff generally doesn't seem to enjoy being employed or giving good customer service. I was in there earlier today, scoping out the post-Valentine's candy sales. I'd heard that they were offering 70% all V-Day candy, so I asked a cashier if this was true. Rather than attempting to find out (it wasn't busy at all), she simply shrugged and said that she didn't know. I also asked the manager, who rudely told me that the store only puts out what's in the computer. I think that's fair, but it wouldn't have killed her to explained it in a less annoyed tone. I can't seem to get good service here, so I'll start going to Walgreen's in Sunset Valley. It's a little out of my way, but they are much nicer there, and have a superior inventory. read more

I tend to go to this CVS often because it is so convenient for me as it is right by my house. It is in an old shopping center and the inside could use some sprucing up or updating. It does not compare to some of the other CVS locations that are in the area as far as atmosphere and structure go. I usually do not purchase anything in the store, but I use the pharmacy and they are awesome there. It is usually about the same 3 people that I always see, which is nice. I also use the Chase ATM here often as the location is so convenient for me. The other thing I do not care for at this location is that they close earlier than most other CVS locations. So due to the atmosphere/structure, dinginess of the store and the fact that they close early I give this location 2 starts. If i was rating just the pharmacy I would give them 3 or 4 stars. read more

I am unbelievably disgusted with the amount of people working in customer service positions, that have the worst attitudes, and no concern whatsoever with how they treat their customers. I don't know what happened to training classes, that reviewed how to treat your customers. I think I'm going to make a video on proper customer service, and have CVS make the woman that works at night there, watch it. I'm sure you all know the one, if you have been to the CVS on William Cannon and Menchaca at night. She would be perfect standing at the gates of hell, NOT welcoming everyone as they arrive. I'm not giving them a 1, because the manager has always been very kind and helpful. The fact that he doesn't do something about the woman that I'm adding this review about, is concerning, but I'll never have anything bad to say about him. Is it just me or does this place look unfinished? Seriously, the first time I ever came in I thought they were amidst a remodel. Then, after several visits, I realized that this is just the way this store looks. What a drab little store! It looks like a really run down Walgreens. I mean that in everything from the lighting (dim, florescent, lifeless) to the way that the aisles are set up (narrow, in a confusing order) and by the fact that it seems like it has much less things than an actual Walgreens. If Walgreens were to carry three types of candy, this place would have one. I had no idea this was even here for the longest time. It is tucked away into an equally depressing lot across from the Sprout's. The people there have never been rude nor they have they been particularly cheerful. They scan your items with a sigh, automatically tell you to have a nice night, and don't ever meet your eyes. read more

So I recently got covid and I picked this CVS to have my proscriptions filled because I used to live really close and I'm more comfortable/familiar with this location. So I go and give a blonde girl the proscription form around 3. They told me it would take two hours to have them filled. I said fine I'll come back at 5. I came back at 5 and this time there was a guy at the window and he told me they still weren't ready. He told me it would be another 30mins. I said okay that's okay. So I parked in the parking lot and waited an extra 30 mins and I went to the window at 5:35. The blonde girl was back. I told her I'm here to pick up my prescriptions. I gave her my first and last name ( same birthday and name i told her the first time) and she told me that there no proscriptions available for me. Which I was confused ? I was like is it going to take longer or? Y'all just don't have them? And she was asking what medication I was asking to be filled and I let her know again. Like I gave you a form? and she was like I don't see any of that. And I was confused because the guy just told me it was going to take 30 mins? Anyways, What ended up happening was they had my maiden last name instead of my current last name. Which I never gave them my maiden last name to begin with so I'm confused as to how why they have it associated with that last name.. Unless they never changed it in their system? But even then I gave them my id and insurance before and the proscription form today that needed to be filled and they all have my current last name. And the blonde girl told me next time let them know my maiden last name.... like it was my fault ? I can see even on the medication Information it has my current last name on it so I'm not sure if she was just looking at the wrong thing or what. I felt as if she was looking in the wrong place and she blamed her mistake on me. Next time I recommend if you pull up the customer information and see that they have another last name maybe ask which one they go by so you can associate the proper medication with the correct information. If it was possible to rate less, I would! I guess you can go here if you would like a pharmacist whose math skills consisted of 4x3=9 which completely f's up your prescription for an entire year (even baffled my doctors when I had to request to write out 12 months). If not, I'm sure the inconsistent policies and stellar customer service from people who watched a 10 minute video before getting behind the desk of the pharmacy might be a reason to go here.
