If one of the CVS pharmacy staff would like, I'll pay them $50 to sit down with me for half an hour and explain why they are so incompetent. Think about it! You'll get $50 for half an hour! I work in a pharmacy for a different company and called this CVS to get a prescription transferred for a patient. Usually other pharmacies (competition or not) are very helpful and expedient when it comes to doing prescription transfers and it's not a problem. When the pharmacist answered the phone and I requested the transfer, he flat out told me in the rudest tone possible that he was extremely busy and that I would be lucky if he got to it at all that day. Transfers take all of about 1 minute, so I was not happy with this answer, especially with our patient in common staring at me from her chair. I told the pharmacist how appalled I was at his behavior, I have never been treated that way by another pharmacy staff member. He attempted a half-hearted apology and finally gave me the transfer. I have a lot to say about this but I'll boil it down here: 1. If you are a patient at this pharmacy, why do you stay? 2. If you are CVS management or corporate, why do you allow this pharmacy/store to operate in this horrible state? Because of this interaction I will avoid any CVS I come across and will tell everyone I know to do the same. This is a girl that knows pharmacies. I know a good one, and I know one that is so confused about its identity that its an odd hybrid of grocery, toy store and small medicinal section. On New Years' Day, I was looking for some supplies to help my family with the care of my grandfather. I clearly knew, as a lady about town, that on this particular holiday, no specialty medical stores would be open, but CVS one of my favorite pharmacies would be. This place was the suck. It had nothing in terms of supplies. It was near empty and sort of a mish mash of products. It had a great beverage section, but that is not what a pharmacy is generally there for. The pharmacist was truly unhelpful. When we asked about bathing supplies for the bedridden, she looked puzzled. The rest of the staff was helpful and nice. It has good parking and self-checkout, however, it is not a pharmacy in the truest sense of the word. It has the cursory products, but its doesn't delve into the shadowy nuance of a great pharmacy. Aside from maybe ONE pharmacy tech that works here on Saturday's and Sunday's, the rest of the staff can go suck eggs. I've been coming here for 15 years and they've always been a little rude, but it wasn't a huge deal because it wasn't that bad. Over the last year it's gotten significantly worse. Just like most people here, I've experienced the WORST customer service from the pharmacy. They are apathetic and act as if you are inconveniencing them instead of being helpful and polite. They consistently neglect to follow up on refill requests to my Dr. For example: I requested a med refill online two weeks ago. They said they'd contact my Dr. and that they would be ready in a few days. I know that my Dr. called them to approve my refill; its been a week since she contacted them, and I still have no meds. I spoke to a woman on the phone today and asked her what the status was because I hadn't heard from them. She told me, "well I don't know what you expect." WHAT?! Are you kidding me. I expect my damn meds to be done, that's what I expect. Message to Management or whomever runs the hiring there: You need to get your act together and start hiring more people with better dispositions, not just people who can 'do the job.' When you work in customer service, the customer should be treated with respect, or you don't have business. That's why it's called 'customer service.' If you're not interested in doing so, go find another line of work that doesn't deal with helping people, because truly, you suck at it. This is really the last straw for me, and after I pick up this refill I will not be going back. I'm transferring my refills to another pharmacy. read more

RUN!! Don't walk away from this pharmacy! The pharmacists change prescriptions, overlook major important messages from doctors and are rude. You run the risk of yourself being poisoned! If I had a grandmother or grandfather I would never trust these people with the lives of my loved ones. Especially now, in the midst of this pandemic,. You need to be able to trust the people that are supposed to be intelligent enough to know when medication should be taken, when it should be taken and most importantly, getting it right!!!! And how dire it is when medication doesn't arrive!!! All my friends told me about this pharmacy and others since then - they said that CVS was a corporation in internal turmoil. I didn't believe them. Then it happened to others and now me. Rite-Aid is on Canon - they are amazing experts in their field. They only hire the top people from any one class. I learned that at CVS, pharmacy workers lack the stance in their class upon graduation and employment at CVS is easier than other pharmacies. It seems they accept those who were at the bottom of their class. Tell me, and answer me this -- Why would you want to be dependent on someone who is inadequate for the medication you need to flourish and survive.?? The number for Rite-Aid is 310-273-3561. I have a concern about the Pharmacy, every time I go there I have to wait too long, even there are no line. I even get a call from their automated service that the medicine is ready and went I went there to pick it up, they told me to come back in 20 minutes, eventually after 45 minutes, it was ready. In one occasion, I had to go there three times to pick up my meds and the last minutes was told that they don't have that. It wasted my time so much. When I raised my concern, no one seemed to care. Someone needs to address the issue that sometimes the meds are really needed and making patients wait too long, is unacceptable. This is by far the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. They tell you that your rx will be ready in an hour. I call in 1.5 hours to make sure and the pharmacist is like yeah it's almost done give me a few minutes. I get there and it is nowhere near done. The guy lied twice that it would be ready at a certain time, then lied again saying it was almost done. The worst part is that he said it so convincingly that I believed him the 2nd time but this has happened to me twice with the same male pharmacist. Pharmacy tech in Beverly hills was extremely rude accused me of cutting in line when we showed up for me to get a vaccination. The same lady told us from outside the window that we can come in anytime and get a vaccine except for between 12:00 and 1:00 because the pharmacist was on lunch. Then after being treated like I skipped in line when she asked my wife if I cut her..... This is the worst pharmacy I have dealt with and I call in a lot of prescriptions. I have been forwarded 6 time to a " There is no box for this" automated message and have been disconnected twice. I finally got a live person on the phone and was transferred back to the pharmacy where I was on hold for 25 minutes. I think if you stepped back and looked at my life from check-ins you would see two things - Nordstrom and CVS. We came to this location to pick up a few things we forgot for our jaunt up on LA (toothbrush and floss, that kind of thing). We perused some of the isles looking for stuff we didn't really need, and were followed around by the security guard as if we were about to steal something. FInally, I said, "We aren't going to take anything, just so you know". He didn't really speak English, but he was obviously amused and probably relieved. In general ..CVS stores are great and all ... I like the fact that you can pick up almost anything from a CVS. This CVS has a lot of variety and has a really nice feel to it. They also have a Kodak photo printing section which is just super convenient! But I have to make a big deal about the fact that it closes at 10 p.m. on most nights and 8 p.m. on Sunday nights. It's a CVS like any other CVS. Their product selection is somewhat limited. So there are only certain items that I buy at this store. The pharmacy can be busy at times, especially if you go there between 5 and 7 pm. I always use the self service check out since it's much faster than standing in line. Actually, I don't know why people bother to stand in line. Maybe they don't know how to use the self service check out. So in summary, not a bad store. I'd love to write a positive review about this pharmacy as it's my local one, and the staff seem like good intentioned people. I've been using it for about 3 years - but really only because of repeat prescriptions; I've been too lazy to get new prescriptions and take them elsewhere. But honestly, the service is so bad at the pharmacy, I'd really suggest you go elsewhere. I don't know what it is that makes them so slow - lack of staff, bad staff, bad management? All I know is you'll be in line forever, and with a bunch of other customers moaning about how long it's taking. It's really not a pleasant experience. Don't expect to get smiling one-on-one service and any more than here's-your-medicine attention because the staff are too stressed out about the other complaining customers behind you in the line, pressurizing them to hurry up. But that really is the majority of my experiences there. Even when I go at quiet times to avoid this, there is no sense of promptness let alone urgency from the staff - you'll likely wait just as long. The same issue with calling - you'll be put on hold and forgotten unless you just use the automated repeat prescription system. I've used the drive thru once, and you might as well stand at the back of the line in store. I've tried complaining to the store management, but the guy insisted they are not responsible for the pharmacy who operate separately. As I say, they seem like very nice people, but I've had enough. Always understaffed! Staff are stressed out (or mad about something) to the point of, more often than not, being rude. Understandable, but dealing with them is generally unpleasant. My pharmacy is closed on weekends so I use this store as little as possible. This is my first review but thought it was warranted as it is not about personalities but competence. They gave me my refill (pain pills) and I opened it 2 hrs after I got home. Rx bottle was stuffed to the top- no room for more pills. It took me a minute but I noticed the bottle was smaller than the first Rx, so I counted the pills and the Rx was 13 pills short. I went back and they recounted it and agreed that it was 13 pills short but their inventory indicated that the full Rx had been dispensed and didn't give me missing pills -even though there was no room in the bottle for any more pills. I probably won't use the full Rx so that's not my concern. Their inventory system is off or someone who shouldn't have, has the pills. Either scenario not good. Missing pills is one thing, but if it's a legitimate error, next time it could be the wrong pills. I should note that both the pharmacist and technician were polite, but still looking stressed (or terribly earnest). read more

UGH this pharmacy has the LONGEST waiting line if you wait inside, and if you do the drive through you have an 90% chance of waiting just as long, if not being totally forgotten about by the staff. For instance, after I had received a text that my Rx was ready for pick up, I drove to the drive through where I was rudely told "hold on"(not asked) when I buzzed up, and 15 mins later no one had helped me. Yeah, just sitting in my car listening to that annoying CVS music. ARG! So i called up again only to be told "hold on" AGAIN! unbelievable. I hung up, buzzed up again, and when I heard someone pick up I didn't even give them a chance to talk I screamed NO I WILL NO WAIT, I"VE BEEN WAITING FOR 30 MINUTES AND TOTALLY IGNORED....I CANNOT WAIT ANOTHER MINUTE." She said "oh ok last name....first name...dob..".and then she proceeded to tell me there were no meds ready for pick up....long story short, it was the most infuriating situation. Things similar to that happen all the time at this pharmacy, and the staff (for the most part) are SUPER RUDE, short, impatient, and don't give a you-know-what...There's no sense of customer satisfaction or service, and they are so disorganized. EVERY TIME I've gone inside to pick up, they shuffle through the Rxs trying to find mine, as if it's been misplaced or lost. They rummage through piles of pills until they finally stumble upon it. SO UNORGANIZED. I must acknowledge, there have been one or two SUPER SUPER helpful, kind, and sweet staff members that were very professional and personable. Unfortunately, they no longer work there for some reason. I only used this pharmacy because it was so close to my house and easy to get in and out of, unlike the other CVS nearby on Beverly and La Cienega. The shop is great, the pharmacy sucks. Once again, CVS at 9045 Wilshire fails at every point of contact. Today (there are so many examples in my recent past), my doctor called in 2 prescriptions for me. six hours later, my nephew went to CVS and two different pharmacists told him they had nothing for me. I called my doctor, who said he received confirmation of receipt digitally from CVS at 6 am. I tried calling the pharmacy to track them down. The first time I was on hold for 31 minutes before a human picked up and then hung up on me. I called back. After 49 minutes, a "human" picked up, then hung up. I'm a few days post-op and on crutches. Had to have my teenage son drive (I'm picking up pain meds so he can't get them), and waited in the car for sn hour and a half. If I had a dollar for every delay, mess up and "lost" prescription at this CVS, I'd be rich. And there is no boss, manager, NO ONE to complain to. Go anywhere but here. read more

Long time Sav On customers, we first experienced the Pico Blvd CVS where they were simply and consistantly stupid but meant well. Believing there was a better group, we moved to the Doheny and Wilshire CVS. Not only were they consistantly stupid but they added insults and terrible attitude to the mix. We put up with it for a year until a tiny drugstore Roxbury Pharmacy opened at the corner of Doheny and Olympic. It appears to be a mom and pop operation and their hours are limited but they are in walking distance and NICE! Can you imagine? I have been going here for the past 10 years... It was OK until this last year. The Pharmacy is VERY unprofessional, and Incompetent. There are always problems with prescriptions being ready on time... they are REALLY RUDE. Today I went to buy some EMERGENCY packets and it was advertised as "Buy one get one free", but when I went to the check out stand, it did not ring up that way. If I hadn't been paying full attention, I would have gotten ripped off. I told the manager about this, and he didn't even say hello to me, he didn't say sorry, didn't look me in the eyes. I asked him WHY their computer doesn't have the same prices as advertised and he basically ignored my question. I've waited hours of my life waiting in line only to be discovered my prescription isn't ready (after calling ahead to make sure it was) and hours of my life waiting on hold on the phone. The worst. Dropped of script on Friday. Still not ready as of Tuesday and it's not a holiday. They had to order and told me it "might" be available tomorrow (Wed) stating I know "it's included inconvenient". No medication is far more than inconvenient but I guess that's how they roll. They also asked if I dropped it off and with who. Like I work there! and of course CVS you have the hard copy if it's my first time there, it's a given. Goodness how frustrating.
