OMG! Worst service, worst CVS ever. I came here to grab my prescribed pills. Well they gave me a generic I was filling so bad afterwards. I came back here before 2 weeks before the refill to notify them that I need another pills. The pharmacist promised me that he put a huge note in front of my name that I need that particular pills. So once I came in they were giving the wrong pills again. I notified them that I need another pills. But they told me that they are unable to verify them as the pharmacist is out for lunch of 30 minutes and there in no one to do so. I've been there for 30 minutes waiting to get my pills, no one was willing to help me! When the pharmacist came back he told me that he is still on lunch and unable to help me for the next 10 minutes. Seriously! I did my job I came in here to notify that the the pills you are giving are not working for me and 2 weeks later I get the same pills! Worst pharmacy in existence. They never answer their phones, and I mean literally n e v e r. Which makes no sense because if you in person there are plenty of people available to answer the phone, they just let it ring endlessly. They have messed up my prescriptions, had me wait hours, tell me it's ready when it's not MULTIPLE times. Example: Once went there to pick up my refill and it wasn't ready, so i was told to wait because they will have it ready in 10 minutes.... 1 hour later: "sorry we don't have your medication in stock." So they told me to check in again the next day. Next day: doesn't answer phone. Go in person and am told it will take THREE DAYS past the date I run out of my meds. This is NOT OK! No one should be out of their necessary medications. I absolutely hate this pharmacy and will be changing to a small family owned business where they actually care about their customers. This cvs store despites being huge, it really does suck. Unfortunately i work right in front and basically this is the only store around. Staff are super rude, not helpful and with attitude ( specially The lady with the short hair). The have a very poor selection of products and lack of so many things. Too bad you cant leave no stars. This is the worst CVS ever. They have replaced the cashiers with the automated checkouts that rarely work, and when there is a problem usually a very thin black guy comes out with a bitchy attitude to clear it and walks away while he continues his texting leaving you to figure out what to do next. If you ask any employee a question it is always "I dont know". Where is your section for allergies? Where is your facial cleanser? Where are your first aid supplies? This pharmacy literally takes forever. This location is honestly not as bad as the one downtown. I haven't run into the horrible issues for example getting a call saying my prescription is ready coming in to get it and have them tell me that they had no record of my existence whatsoever. That's why I give it two instead of one star. However if I had not had other awful awful experiences at other CVS location I would definitely give this location one star. The drive-through takes forever! I do not text saying that my prescription is ready when it is not. For example if I need a refill, I fill out the form online for them to request a new prescription from a doctor. Then I got a text my prescription is ready so I go to pick it up. Then I hear it I've actually never heard back from my doctor and so my prescription is not been refilled. That information would be great because I think a follow-up with my doctor. But now they have me drive all the way to the pharmacy and sit at the drive-through for half an hour only to hear that my prescription is not ready. Picking up your prescription should be quick and convenient. Instead I need to budget two hours of my life to get a simple prescription that I pick up monthly. There has to be another way! read more

It's funny that the sign in the parking lot claims you can only park for 45 minutes when there is no way you'll get out of here in under an hour and 15, even if all you're doing is picking up a single prescription that was called in days earlier. The pharmacy is horrible! Their rude employees will make you feel like you are bothering them with your presence. I was once given the wrong medication - it was for a male with my same last name (I am female). Thank goodness I discovered the mistake before popping the pill at home. One time as I approached the pharmacist, she went to town on the customer behind me calling her a B%#*h and using the F-word to describe her. Apparently she was annoyed that the customer needed help. Every time I go into this store I ask myself, "why did I come back here?" Its location is definitely convenient, but the customer service is unbearable. I've used the pharmacy here many times as my prescriptions automatically get sent here and sure the line and the wait is always long, but more and more I'm noticing how utterly rude the pharmacists/assistants/customer service reps are. Maybe they're overwhelmed or trying to herd people through the line so they can get through it faster, but they snap at you, they don't listen to you and many a time I've seen them dealing with elderly people (and noticeably sick people) in a very insensitive manner. WORST CVS pharmacy out there. I prefer a small, nice pharmacy but those typically have short hours and aren't open on weekends. I had to switch to CVS. This location is one of four that are within a mile of my house. I used this one because of the DRIVE THRU pharmacy. Now, that is the biggest joke ever. I drove up to the so called DRIVE THRU pharmacy and after about 4 minutes a voice came on and said "We are busy, park and come up." I was bothered because the entire point of a drive thru is to not have to park and come up. I parked and went up, there was ONE person waiting. That's it. It wasn't busy. Tried again a week later and same thing happened. This happened over and over. On my fifth try, I told the voice, "No, I am not coming up, I want to use the drive thru!" I was told that I would have to wait 15 minutes. I said that was fine and that I would call the CVS corporate office to let them know while I was waiting for those 15 minutes. She didn't like that so I only had to wait 5 minutes. I did call the CVS corporate office and I filed a complaint with customer service. I explained that they ought to either use the drive thru pharmacy or they should shut it down and make more parking. I told them it was a GIANT tease to have it and to always be told to park and come up. The people who work in the pharmacy in this location are rude and have no desire to talk to customers or help customers. This is the same if you walk in or if you get lucky enough to use the drive thru. Avoid this location for pharmacy. I can't speak of the rest of the store. I have only made my purchases at the pharmacy. Oh, and by the way, this is the ONLY CVS where I have been told that I could only purchase 4 items from the store at the pharmacy. The woman then counted the three items in my basket and said she would let me purchase those with my medications. Gee, thanks. STAY AWAY! read more

CVS has lost a customer for life. Review just for the pharmacy. This location had been my primary pharmacy for years without any issue. In preparation for a major surgery I was about to have (that entailed breaking both the upper and lower jaws, 3 metal plates in my face, eating through a tube for a month, and having to crush my medications to take them intravenously - not an easy surgery to have or recover from), I dropped off 7 prescriptions to be filled. I took the prescriptions to the drop off counter and was told by the guy working that "we can fill these 2, we need to call out for these one, these 4 are OTC medications, you can just go find them in the aisle." A little taken aback, but trying to give the benefit of the doubt (which thinking about now, it makes me mad that I even did this) I went in search of some of the OTC medications and came back to him with some questions. I had very specific dosages and amounts listed on my prescriptions, and I wanted exactly what was written, without having to go digging in the aisles trying to figure out what was correct and how many packages I needed to get to make sure I had all the right amounts. I was met with such attitude from the pharmacist that I gave up and completely left the store, despite needing to pick up one of my regular prescriptions. He insisted on trying to tell me how I could and could not use my medications (one of them was a nasal spray, which I'm fully aware of the dangers of rebound congestion and all that - but as my surgery entails BREAKING MY FACE and my doctor told me I could use the nasal spray for up to a couple weeks as the swelling in my face could complicate breathing, how dare this guy try to tell me what I can and cannot do with my medications, even after I told him about the surgery I was having). I had also asked him about prices for some of the medications to which he replied "it doesn't matter it's not covered by insurance." That's not what I was asking you. One of my prescriptions was for 800mg ibuprofen which he tried to have me get OTC. I have never ever in my entire life heard of a pharmacist saying to get OTC ibuprofen and "just take more pills for your appropriate dosage." No - you fill the prescription. I want to take ONE pill for my dosage, not 4. And I want as many of my medications as possible to go through insurance as they count toward my yearly deductibles. It really seemed like this guy was lazy, possibly just "too busy" and didn't want to help me. When I complained to Gail, the manager, she was very apologetic and said she would address the matter. I'm not sure why, but I went back a 2nd time to try and get them filled again. It was a different guy this time, and he was nicer than the first. He said they would fill everything and grab whatever OTC I needed (like a saline nasal spray vs. the afrin I was arguing with the first guy about) and if anything wasn't covered by insurance they would just have me pay the price in full. Great. When I went to go pick everything up, my order was incomplete. I had 7 items to be picking up and I only had 5. I was furious. CVS had "no record" of the other 2 medications I was supposed to be getting. The guy from the first attempt was there and was going to "help me". I didn't want to deal with him, given our first interaction, I wanted to speak to someone else. With such an impending major surgery, the absolute last thing that I needed to deal with was pharmacy incompetence and not getting the medications I needed. I realized later that this would have been a perfect opportunity for CVS to try and rectify the situation with me in store, but of course they didn't, and I wouldn't be surprised if this was on purpose due to the inherently unhelpful nature of this one guy. Apparently they needed to get one of my prescriptions from the warehouse, which they didn't have and therefore could not fill, and they called and left a message to let me know. They didn't. This also meant that I needed to get the original prescription back so that I could take it somewhere else to get filled. This was never mentioned while I was there, resulting in having to make a second trip back to get my original prescription - because of course they couldn't just give it to me when I was standing right there to make it easier for me. Also, I thought they had "no record" of all of my prescriptions, which is why there were only 5, instead of 7. How then did they have my original prescriptions but no record of them? Absolutely unacceptable. The store manager said he'd address my issues with the pharmacy, but I told him it didn't matter as I'd be removing my prescriptions and switching to Rite-Aid. CVS will never receive any of my money ever again. read more

I live right by one of these and it is my favorite store. A little while ago, I had to stop by there every day for a couple of months, as I had to photocopy photos for a giant collage and album project, and the cashier lady was so helpful and nice. She even gave me deals on the photo prices since she said I was their most frequent customer. Since then I usually stop by twice a month for necessities. From prescriptions to ice cream to white boards to light bulbs to face paint, this store has all you need for the home. Pharmacists are very nice too and the store sends out courtesy calls when your prescription is ready. Prescriptions can be filled within the hour, and photos can be printed either right away or within the hour as well. Highly recommend for all your daily needs. read more

This might be the worst CVS I've ever been in. There are a few bright spots, in that the store is usually clean and there are a few nice staff members, but the tragedy here is the PHARMACY. This review is specifically about the pharmacy- not the store. I think someone needs to explain to the pharmacy what the term "customer service" actually means. I've never had more negative encounters with a business in my life. My prescriptions are never ready on time, there is always a long wait, and the employees seem miserable there and are so RUDE. The final straw was when my doctor called in my prescription twice, they still "didn't have it" and had zero concern to help me. I will never give my business to a place where I'm treated so poorly.I had my prescriptions transferred to another pharmacy because I refuse to have to go there even once a month. The service was AWFUL here - I waited at the drive-thru pharmacy to pick up my prescription for 15 MINUTES after I paid for the lady to give me my meds - her response "she forgot" another lady pulled up in the drive-thru next to me after I had already paid and she got her prescriptions before I did! They had a children's version of the product and I wanted to know if they had one for adults. Due to her lack of caring or checking, I didn't get the product. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever encountered. Prescriptions are reported ready, and then not ready. They are then, in person, promised to be filled in 10 minutes, and then not filled by the following day. And it takes 20-30 minutes in line each time to get this helpful information. I walked in last week with Bronchitis and 3 prescriptions. The person at the drop-off counter said it would only be about 10 minutes and that they'd announce my name over the speaker. I walked around for about 30 minutes and decided to check in. By the time I got up there (around 50 minutes now) the kid at the register was flustered and confused trying to work the computer and then told me it would be another 20 minutes...I was upset about waiting over an hour but decided to stay and wait, until he turned around and told me the pharmacist just left for a 30 min break and it would now be 50 more minutes. After arguing with him about my wait time and how awful my experience was going he recommended that I come back the next day. Maybe he's never had bronchitis but it's painful and I needed the medication ASAP so I could make it to work the next day. I even tried asking for a pharmacy manager and they weren't on duty that day...apparently. Finally after waiting TWO HOURS the pharmacist came back and filled my prescriptions. She was extremely nice to me and said that she thought she filled everything before she left, which means something went wrong between me handing over the prescriptions and them getting filled. Maybe the lack of communication between the 5 people back there when only one can actually fill anything. I usually go to Walgreens on Pico/Robertson but they always have a long wait and this CVS is closer to my home. Never again. read more

I'd give this CVS zero stars if I could. Two cashiers in an enormous store. Last week I waited 10 minutes to buy a tube of toothpaste. An older customer ahead of me was scrutinizing her receipt for these 10 minutes. The cashier did absolutely nothing to solve, facilitate or hasten this situation. Did not ask the customer to step aside so that she could assist those waiting in line. For being the only general store in the area, and being an oversized one to boot, the understaffing is ridiculous. I end up stopping there regularly due to the lack of other options, and each time it is increasing frustrating. I decided to write this review today after experiencing a serious problem with the pharmacy. My two prescriptions were called in yesterday. Today at 3pm they were not ready. I was told to wait 30 minutes. Then I was told they would not honor my copay, because they don't contract with Providence, a MAJOR insurance carrier. When attempting to have the pharmacy transfer the scrip to another pharmacy, over the phone, no one picked up the phone. I tried again. and again. and again. I've been listening to their phone ring on and off for hours. They will not answer. Is this what medical offices experience, when calling in scrips for sick people? People need their medicine. This is an accumulation of my experiences and my co-workers' experiences with this CVS Pharmacy. You would think that CVS in Beverly Hills would have at least decent service, but I was wrong. Everyone here looks absolutely miserable and indifferent. It is rare you'll find someone willing to help you-- I was lucky once when an employee volunteered to remove the security tags from some alcohol I was purchasing at the self-checkout line. Also, if you get a flu-shot here, I hope you are not afraid of dingy claustrophobic backrooms. If it wasn't for the convenient location to my office, I'd never purchase anything here. read more

It's not so bad here. First off the parking is easy and convenient. Mind you, I just need to go buy stuff, I don't need any staff and I do the self check out. So pretty much I don't deal with the pharmacy or anything else. But if you need to do shopping quickly, they get the job done for you. read more
