The problem with this place is they don't have a large stock of items. It's not unusual to go here and find that they are out of whatever you need, or worse yet, don't even bother to stock it. There has been countless times I've used the scan your card get coupon machine where the product that has a coupon this CVS location doesn't even have. The register situation is always a nightmare. Expect long lines that move painfully slow. They are slow to open additional registers. Honestly, this location should have people at all the registers during business hours. Just had a stupid experience here with some purple-haired cashier. As I was checking out (after being forced to deal with her nonsense, which is par for the course here, because the self-serve machines weren't working and there was nobody attending them) she was screaming from behind the counter and down the aisle behind me to another employee: "Yo, you get Domino's or Little Caesar? If it's little Caesar you know I want some of that. You know I do..." On and on, yelling in my face, through me, as I'm standing there after she had scanned my item. Finally, after a comically long time, she decides to STFU, tells me the total so I can GTFO, but the total is wrong, because I only came here since I needed one thing and had a coupon on my Care Card on my phone she had scanned. I tell her the price is wrong and did my Care Card scan. "Oh, no," she says distantly, thoughts of Little Caesar dancing in her head, as she grimly remembers what she's doing standing in front of a cash register. Then she turns back to me, blank-faced and still. "Okay, well..." "Do you want me to scan it again?" she asks dimly. She does, and nothing. "Sometimes it doesn't work." And then she just stares at me. I show her the Care Card number on my phone. "You can't do anything with that number?" I check, dubious. "No," she says, perplexed. It didn't scan. So that's it, to her mind. No coupon for me. Eight bucks for a bungee cord. Pay or get out. I mean, obviously they are able to type in a number if the bar code doesn't scan, because that's the way stores have worked for entirety of my life and hers. But I didn't walk in there to educate her, so I just left without buying. She didn't care, and I'm sure chalked this encounter up to me being a cheap prig, rather than to her being a braindead twit. But you are wrong, dear heart. You are wrong. Oh, and if you think this was done outside of the manager's view, guess again, because a white shirted and tied guy with a buzz cut was literally two feet behind me for this whole thing, also expressing his hope for a Little Caesar bounty. Store was full of people. Huge line. Just awful. Perhaps instead of leaping into my face the instant I walk through the door -- "You need help finding anything?", desperately, like it's a box that must be checked at risk of death -- you should do more than customer service theater and actually attempt customer service. Because I didn't need help finding anything, but I sure as hell did need help buying it, apparently and sadly, from your staff and/or worthless machines. Buying is kind of also a small part of commerce, in case CVS training failed to mention that. Most CVS' suck. This is one of them. Stop bounding into my face when I walk in and worry about making sure the customer leaves satisfied. Or, the customer leaves with anything at all, which was not the case here, despite me waiting on line for it, and having money in my hand to pay for it. If you can't convert that to a sale, you are babysitting a store location and nothing more, certainly not managing. Prime Now has cheaper bungee cords, for anyone who can wait 2 hours for delivery. This is the WORSE CVS ever!!!! There is, more often than not, a huge line and only one register open. To add insult to injury, the checkers seem to move in slow motion. Also, I was told that the pharmacy didn't have my RX and to call in a week in advance so that they could order it for me and would have it on hand when I came in. I called a week in advanced and they told me that they can't order it unless they see my rx in their hand. The only reason I go to this pharmacy is because it is across the street from where I live - but if I had another option nearby I would certainly go somewhere else. I hope to God a district manager reads this and goes down to this location and cleans house. My BF and I went to get photos done, they charged us but lost 100's of photos. Came back next day, spoke to manager and SHE told us that she didn't know what to do so to come back the next day to speak to guy manager. Ridiculous. Came back again and literally no manager could just fix it or make a damn decision. No one is trained at this location. It's dirty and every employee just is incompetent as the next. The worst CVS store of all time. The security guards and employees are desperate to get into a fight with every customer that walks in the door. It is like the Jerry Springer Show. A crazy older woman that works there was following me around the store harassing me and telling me purses are not allowed in the store and I had to leave mine with her. My purse was really small and contained nothing but valuables. I refused to leave it with her. Luckily, a younger woman that worked there stuck up for me and I was allowed to have my purse. When you are finally almost free of this toxic environment and ready to check out, you have to get the price adjusted on sale items and make a request for each of your Extra Bucks to print out. Luckily, they paired me with a chill manager. I think his name was Adam. He and the other employee that stuck up for me are the only ones that work there that are not thugs. Really hope both of them transfer to another store for their own sanity. When I was checking out with the manager, we hear screams coming from the back of the store. Two security guards put their hands on some helpless customer. It was like witnessing someone getting bullied in high school. I really wanted to run over and help this poor guy. Luckily, the manager tells security to get their hands off the guy. Then that older woman who works there dangled the guy's personal belongings in front of his face and said she wouldn't give him back his stuff. The guy left and told them he was getting the police. Really wish I had filmed this whole thing but didn't want the loons that work there to take my phone. Really hope this customer was able to get his stuff back. Honestly not surprised the average rating is 2.5 stars. Immediately there was an issue with the self-checkout system which is fine, it happens. What's NOT cool is waiting an inappropriate amount of time to be helped which only happened once I left my checkout station to find someone despite a cashier standing 20 feet away. I believe a manager begrudgingly came to my assistance and began to explain what I was doing wrong. I mentioned I was frustrated by how long I had been kept waiting and then she proceeded to pick up my items, scanning them for me aggressively without my request to do so. Because there's nothing on its website indicating different pharmacy hours, and because this is not a 24-hour location, you might think the pharmacy opens at 7 am like the store does. You might call in your prescription and stop in at 7 on the way to the airport. Only then will you learn that, at least sometimes, the pharmacy opens "around 9." read more

I have lived on the block behind this store over five years, and watched it go from a nice, clean Long's to a crappy, junky CVS, while the quality of products and service has gone south as well. The place is always messy and cluttered. Managers typically have more attitude than intelligence or people skills. I've often seem dressed up manager types leisurely futzing with some kind of stock and or chatting with each other, while the line at a single open register grows to ten or more people. With easily five or six people working at the store at any one time, I just can't imagine how it never occurs to anyone to jump on a register when there are more than 3 or 4 in line. The stock will still be there to arrange on the shelves (and mis-label) when the line runs out. There is simply no thought process in the staff's minds, from management on down. Occasionally a nice and/or competent person will turn up on the staff and actually try to be helpful, but these people don't last long. This may be because CVS is a bad company to work for (as I've heard from several people). When there is a long line growing at a single open register (this happens all the time) a customer has to go ask someone to open another register and often as not, they'll just call a name out on a speaker, rather than help you themselves. To add insult to injury, when the next checker finally comes out, they don't take the next person in line, they take whoever is standing in front of them, ensuring that the people who've waited the longest will still be waiting after they've finished with someone who just walked in. Part of this is due to the stupid layout of the store, where there are several randomly placed registers, instead of having them all in a row with one line. That's how the Sav-On stores used to be, but again, there is no logical thought involved with this company. CVS took over several nice Longs and Sav-On locations that were neat, useful and a pleasure to shop in, and turned them all into junky messes. This company clearly does not care what you want to buy, as they have aggressively replaced good value, branded merchandise with their own generic inferior stuff that often costs more. They make you scan cards and may offer you discount coupons, but rarely on anything you actually want to buy. More likely it seems they're just pushing stuff they are overstocked with. The only reason I go to this place is because it's on my corner. I used to shop there several times a week, but I rarely go in these days, because it's usually a costly, annoying waste of time. read more

It's rare that I'd write or look up the reviews for a CVS, but this one is exceptionally bad. It's dirty, it smells bad, and is poorly organized. Some drinks have already been opened. Drinks in the drink case are often fogged up and sticky. I know it's in Hollywood, but the prices are marked up more than the average CVS. Most of the employees are incompetent and rude. The selection of items is pretty comprehensive - drinks, food, travel items, etc., but that's all it's got going for it. I'd go out of my way to avoid this location. read more
