Was at this CVS last night right at closing when I walked in the establishment, a man followed me in and was walking two paces behind me. I quickly realized on the security cam showing the front door when you walk in that he was tailling me. I immediately walked into female, feminine product, isles to see if he was still following me, and sure enough he was following me through the store. I grabbed a big glass bottle of perfume and confronted him. He turned, had a very surprised, scared look on his face and walked away, I then noticed he called someone in a woman in the store, matching his sketchiness pick up the phone and start talking to a man that seem to be close by. When I told the front cashier about this, he shrugged it off, as if nothing was happening made me think he was a part of it. Do not come to this CVS. read more

There's three differences between this CVS location (which used to be a Long's Drugs) and the one in the Mira Mesa Mall: - The place may be a bit larger than the other location... but things don't seem to be as neat here. Half the time on my visits, stuff's on the floor or misplaced on the shelves. - There is a very small "international" market here with items that can be found at Big Lots or Marshalls... to be honest, I wished the CVS near my place had this portion. - The biggest difference? This CVS isn't open 24 hours. So, if you're in the area of Mira Mesa near the 15 and you need to pick up your meds at a late hour, guess what? You're going to Walgreens or the other CVS anyway. Went in today armed with my reward card 30% off on item. I am surprised they didn't have much makeup from Xmas 1/2 maybe they already sold out. I noticed thy did have boxed perfume though. There makeup in general is expensive. I go to the other cvs near Rubios. They have a lot of discounted makeup. Good brands too! I ended up buying some eyeshadow withy 30% I waited in the line. Which felt like forever and there were only 2 people in front of me. I also came to pick up some photos I made online. They had a really good deal .20 if you buy 50 prints. The quality of the pictures turned out great. A lot better than target I must say. Also I like that they promote health over wealth. They stopped selling cigarettes in there store :) read more

Can I give 10 stars please, 5 for excellent service and another 5 for excellent service in the midst of COVID19 nightmare. My first pharmacy counter experience here was last week, when I came to pick up a prescription for something I have never taken before. A young man was very friendly, but seemed to be new and needed another tech's assistance. This lovely lady Thao was so helpful, and she was with her own patient at the time. Not only did she multitask phenomenally, between her own line of people and me, she managed to find the time to get me a discount. I then couldnt find the coupon confirmation email, and she actually took my phone, checked and pointed out what it was I was looking for, which apparently went to Spam. She was like a medicine fairy, waiving her magic wand, for everything to fall into place. Long story short, I received a magnificent service and my script at a $130 LESS than I would have, if Thao wasn't there. And she kept calling me, Miss Dina, which was just adorable :) Thank you Thao! And thank you everyone at this pharmacy, who is helping the public through this jacked up time in our lives! read more

Went with a friend later at night to pickup some canvas prints from the photo area. When we got there, there was no one at the photos so we had to go to the registers to ask for help. It was super busy and a line of 8 deep on one register. When a second person showed up we had them call help for us. The wait wasn't long at all, this whole process took 5 minutes start to finish. On the way out we got a lotto ticket, sadly we didn't win millions. I'd come back if I needed something else. The staff seemed friendly although tired. I can't say I blame them. read more

The customer service was great. I went in looking for something specific; Right when I entered the door I was greeted and asked if I needed assistance with anything. I told the cashier what I needed, he got it for me, and I was right back out the door. Quick and easy trip just how I like it! As for the store itself, I think they could use some remodeling. It looks a bit old and a little run down. It's in a convenient location right off of the freeway but they aren't open 24/7 like the CVS located on Mira Mesa Blvd and Camino Ruiz. Because of location and not remembering their hours at the too of my head I only visit this CVS once in a while when I'm around the area. But, they'll take care of you with kind customer service and answer any questions you have. read more

Junior is the rudest cashier I have encountered in a long time. The 2 elderly people in line in front of me were treated with utter disrespect and they were admonished for asking a question about the CC machine Cash back options/ procedures for CVS. The whole time he is taking swigs of his soda. When I get to the counter, I had a question about an item I couldn't locate. His answer, "We don't have any." This without asking for a check or giving me a location to search. Just I don't care, move along. I felt that I could shop for everything I was looking for elsewhere. This particular CVS location used to be a Longs Drugs before CVS bought them out. This is so far the only CVS I've been to that really really sucks. The pharmacy lacks in their drug inventory. They don't carry a lot of the medications that your doctor might prescribe you. They were this way as Longs Drugs before, which is why I always went to the CVS on the other side of Mira Mesa. For some reason, this branch never has anything in stock on its shelves. One time I wakled in and it looked like they got robbed or something! A mess. I only go here for the smaller items out of convenience that it's closer to my home, but for quality, I suggest everyone that lives by the 15 fwy to suck it up and drive down to the CVS by Camino Ruiz. There's a HUGE difference in atmosphere, staff friendliness, and stock! I hope they revamp this branch. I know it was a crappy Longs Drugs before but by now it should really be up to par with CVS standards. read more

Really bad customer service at the pharmacy. I went to the hospital last night and needed to get my prescription here the next day as it was the closest option. They seem disorganized first of all. Sure, you're short staffed but you can at least smile and show some human decency and compassion. But this place was severely lacking in that department. They went to check for one of my prescriptions's availability and laughed when they found it so I don't know what that was about but it already made me feel unsettled. I should have left there but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and I was understanding to their apologies for long wait times and such but I can only be understanding until you start veering into poor customer service territory. So they basically didn't have my second prescription which is cool. But I guess their protocol is to keep the original prescription even if they don't have the second prescription? I really wanted to get the second prescription because I need it and was willing to go elsewhere for it but I have to go all the way back to the hospital for that first? Because you won't print out a copy of my prescription? Nope. Not coming back. I would have appreciated being given the option to go elsewhere after being notified that they didn't have my second prescription but I was not given that. read more

Having moved over the summer I needed to find a new drugstore. This is the closest one and near several other retail places I frequent. Unfortunately the place is a complete mess. I went in before Christmas looking for about 6 different items, mostly toiletries. The shelves were 60% empty- I thought what is it inventory time and they are running low on stock? Is there a super storm descending on Mira Mesa so everyone cleaned out the makeup and shampoo aisles?! I left not finding 1 item on my list. The layout of the store is bad too, nothing is where you'd think it would be- I couldn't even find a nail file of any kind! Foolishly I decided to give it another shot more recently, hoping a month later they'd be back to being fully stocked. I was looking for several items. They had none of them and again many shelves were just completely bare. At one point an employee asked if I was finding everything alright and I said no actually I am not finding ANYthing. He just gave me a weak smile and went back to organizing his cart of products. Why ask it you aren't going to offer to help? How this place stays in business with the shelves half empty is beyond me. Also - I am a frequent makeup shopper and they had none of the latest products I was looking for- some of their "new" displays were ones that I saw 4 months ago in other drugstores. Very disappointing. I guess I will have to shop for cosmetics and toiletries at a drugstore near my work. Ps look at the pictures people have posted - empty shelves everywhere! This cvs is the one closest to me and it bites that it's closed so early. Depending on the time of day (if you come in the day time, it's super hard to find parking). They usually only have one lane open which can be inconvenient especially if you are in a hurry. read more

I love CVS in general, and I frequent this particular one solely because of its location. The staff is OK. They're not rude at all. I just don't like every time they feel they have to comment on whatever I'm buying. Yes, Dove Chocolate is THAT good... Yes, I'm paying this much for hair serum. Yes, I love makeup this much. Hush, and just scan my items so I can pay and leave! I feel like my mom is scolding me. Despite the side comments, they are still nice people who actually get excited when they see you've finally earned CVS bucks haha. If you're coming here to pick up your prescription, I wouldn't recommend to come right after work (5-7ish) because the wait will be forever long. read more

the store manager wasn't only rude, but also incompetent- asked to use the restroom: looked me up n' down then said "it's broken" as she chit chatted with an employee on the sales floor a long line of customers waited to check out. A pharmacist at this location giving the vaccine was extremely rude and inconsiderate. Lacking professionalism and empathy. Some people have a great fear of needles which needs to be recognized, she needs better business practices. read more

Meds... check. Chips... check. Drinks... check. Ready to stay home and recover from my sickness, Yes... that and some xbox playing should help. Pros: - customer service is great. - never that busy inside. - convenient mostly for meds and bathroom products, for me at least. - always parking Cons: - 50-50 on being organized or clean, either restocking and boxes are left. - underage kids trying to steal meds or buy drinks arguing with store clerks. Just ask you parents for them, sheesh. Instructions on your presciption: I mainly only go here to pick up my medicine. If i was just rating that aspect, it would be 4-stars. Other than that, its just another convenient store that is conveniently near my place that is conveniently laxed, unless it's late at night where they inconveniently stop selling alcohol. But that's all. Good for your CVS for sticking to your policy and keeping up with a good work ethic. You tell those drunk people they can't buy a 12-pack and 2 bottles of vodka after midnight. read more

My experience here is with the pharmacy only. They are not the very best, and most times takes them hours to hear the doctor's message and to act on it. Dont rely on the staff for a quick turn around on filling your meds. They were like this when this was Long's and they are continuing the same practice. read more

When I first arrived, there was a short line & he dropped his other work to open up an additional register. Out of stock... Don't know if it's because it was 3 days before Christmas, but alot of their sale items were out of stock and half the store was empty. Merchandise was scattered and unorganized. Tried to buy a few gift sets, and a worker said they hide some sets in the back because they get stolen. This used to be a Longs Drugs location about a year ago. read more

It's a shame to rate this store based on a single experience, but Jeya (sp?) has no sense of customer service. A simple refund request due to their pricing mistake was received with head shakes and eye rolls. A store credit was finally received after management involvement. read more

This review is for the pharmacy. I just left a bad review for the CVS on Bernardo Center Dr as this Westview branch has set the bar very high for me when i lived nearby. Besides knowing me by name from the first year, they solved any issue before i even knew about it. For example, instead of telling me "you need authorization for this medication and go figure it out with your insurance and doctor", they would tell me "your authorization expired, so we called your insurance and faxed one to your doctor. The weekend is coming up and we did not want you to go without it. And by the way, the company has a coupon for this one, here's the website"!!! At this stage after two years of frustration with two other pharmacies, i am thinking it is worth moving back to them and driving the extra 20 miles each way! read more

I have been going to the CVS Pharmacy on Mira Mesa Blvd and Camino Ruiz for probably 20 years. Am taking the time they are wasting right now to post this very overdue negative review. This pharmacy is chronically understaffed, staffed with newbies and you get the impression that there is always a lot of confusion. NOT the warm fuzzy feeling you want from those preparing your prescription medications. The wait is always long, even late at night. Management doesn't get it or doesn't care - especially considering there is a Walgreens across the street now. Totally lame. read more

Wow, long lines poor service, and the "Pharmacist" Jennifer L. Horrible. Waiting for two hours for a tube of antibacterial cream. Did she have to go in the back and make it? If she spent less time checking out my wife's chest, maybe she could focus on her job. The worst service, and it took forever. "Do you have insurance ?" It was an $8.00 tube of cream, geez. I visited the store today. Was a quick visit. I went to pay for my items at the register with Vicky. I had my 6 pound service animal in my arms. She stated We only allow service animals in the store. I told her he IS a service animal...he even had his vest on. I asked Vicky if she would like to see his papers. She said No, but you need to let us know when you come into the store. REALLY??!!! Where did she get this from? I've lived in California for 5 years and have never been told I must announce at my entering in a busineas ATTENTION.....I HAVE A SMALL SERVICE DOG. Since when is it the Law to announce I am entering the store with a service Animal???? She is not only Rude, but ignorant of the laws. I just said Ok..yeah..sure. I will never shop at this location again. Rudeness and ignorance are not big in the customer service industry. New favorite CVS!! I came here because the other one is always so crowded and I can't ever find anyone to help me. I've been miserable and stuffed up all week. One of their pharmacists, Larry, was nice enough to come out and explain the different types of allergy meds to me. Claritin and Zyrtec never seem to work so he told me to try loratadine. This review is for the pharmacy. The older blonde lady at the counter was rude and unpleasant. I dropped by to pick up my father's prescription in the early afternoon. When I asked her to double check if the prescription was there, she was visibly irritated and muttered about how she had to check. There was nobody in line behind me and she wasn't being rushed. It was a basic request that was met with unnecessary rudeness. If you're reading this Ma'am, it wouldn't kill you to smile and be polite especially to people who are kind to you. Otherwise, find another job that doesn't require you to converse with the public. read more

On the other hand the actual pharmacist Scotty was so rude and unprofessional. I needed to get a pharmacist consult and I had to wait unti lhe was finished with his personal phone call he was taking on his blue tooth. When he finally got to me he was unpleasant and rude.
