Pretend like customers don't do your job every day and provide the bare minimum customer service because that would have been 100x what I received today. I asked simple questions because I don't have the inherent knowledge that pharmacy staff does when it comes to shortages and ordering medications. In an industry that requires some level of customer service, it would be nice if they could incorporate some refresher training on how to educate a customer or be helpful for 2 minutes instead of telling me: "Maybe you should go to another chain." Of course they don't care that the replacement medication I have to take is 100% more expensive that the one I've been taking for years. I am obviously not blaming CVS for the manufacturers production issues, but you don't have to be rude to customers that are unaware and trying to mitigate increased prescription costs. Called looking for dye free children's Tylenol. The person who answered my call told me they had all kinds and I was welcome to come and look. I explained that I was calling so I didn't have to bring my sick child to a store that may or may not have what I need. She said she was busy. I understand being busy. I've worked this type of job before. She could ask to put me on hold while she helped the customers and then looked for me. I've also been to this store and have never seen more than 2 people there at 7:30am. I'm sorry but this store has the worst trained employees. I've had my prescriptions sent here and am now moving it to the RiteAide across the street. I would have given CVS photo a zero star review at this location if possible. We received a call to pick up an order that was not able to be fullfilled because their printing machine was broken at that moment (what's the chance of that happening in the first place LOL). So we went there for the 2nd time just to pick up the photos they said ready already. However, the front desk lady could not find it anywhere (surprised?!)...then she started helping checking out other people in the line...I waited for at least another 10 mins till their store supervisor Jackie showed up and told me our order should be out and the system should not call us in the first place... no apologies! Honestly I don't care about those photos any more but more mad at their attitude. The lady even said automatic calls(from their store number) don't represent them at all because it's automatic and they can't control it! How silly is that! I've only used this store for their pharmacy and I've never had a bad experience. Those working in the pharmacy seem to know what they're doing and have always been helpful to locate something I'm looking for or to give me a recommendation or two. The pharmacy also offers a drive through service. I don't know...but I just feel a little dirty about picking up "pills" through he window of my car. Call me crazy. The store itself feels old but it is clean enough. There is plenty of parking although the stalls are quite tight for big vehicle. As for the people inside the store, well they seem to friendly enough but I've never interacted with them or had them to the house socially, but for the brief 5 minute encounter, they were pleasant. I guess it's always easy to be pleasant when taking someones money. Anyone want to give me some and try out this theory?? read more

I go to this CVS because it's the closest and on my way home. I probably could switch my one prescription to another pharmacy but I'm lazy and I like the pharmacists that work here. But I do hate that CVS online does not correlate with the actual store. And the store itself isn't that great. Actually, the manager isn't that friendly and very off putting. He didn't know what a flex plan is and he asked for my age when I was buying Tylenol and Dayquil. Also, a lady wanted to make sure she could use a coupon and asked the manager. He said, "It's all good. You can use it." But when she asked him for his name, in case anyone questioned her, he covered his nametag and got angry! It just seems off for a manager to do that. This review is for their Photo services. I have been very pleased with their turnaround time for developing our photos. My wife and I had a quick project to make for my mom for Christmas and we got our 100+ pics printed in no time! That and it's been a fairly simple process using CVS Photo Online to send in our photos to the store for printing. I also got my photo taken for my passport I've been meaning to get before I go on deployment. It was quick and easy, plus if you go online, you get $2 off passport photos. Out of the several times I've been here, the people running the photo area have been very helpful and attentive. Even during the holidays, when all the registers are full in front, they are still getting the job done. I likey. CVS is funny because you can almost go there without any real purpose and end up finding SOMETHING you like or want to buy. That's why I only try to make a B line to where I need to go, unless you want to get sucked into walking down each aisle! Have fun, and don't be afraid to use CVS Photo! read more

The Pharmacy is a nightmare to deal with: slow, and lackluster. They require some basic training. The pharmacists always seem disorganized, and unfocused; in the middle of filling out your prescription or talking with you they always stop to do something else. Also, they talk very loud in the "private consultation booth" as well as when talking with people in the drive-thru pharmacy. So forget any confidentiality. Don't bother with the drive-thru pharmacy window either, you will only waste your time. Now, I take my prescriptions to the CVS in UTC, where the pharmacy service is outstanding despite employing fewer people, and having a higher volume of customers (UCSD student housing nearby/high concentration of workers). For example, wait times are significantly shorter (~5-10minutes to fill a prescription), and one-on-one consultations are informative and confidential. Otherwise, the general CVS employees are great, courteous, and always helpful! I always go here for all my general merchandise needs, but I always avoid the pharmacy. read more

Rude pharmacy staff, they have no respect towards health care providers when talking to them over the phone. Avoid pharmacy at this location if at all possible, rude, disrespectful and ghetto like on the phone, specially the pharmacist herself, very strange as most pharmacists are quite professional and welcoming of conversations and offer alternative options when there is an issue with a medication, etc. This person was totally the opposite, must be having a really bad day, cant see why you would talk so rudely to someone on the phone otherwise. read more

Five stars for the awesome Nurse Practitioner Trina Acosta in the Minute Clinic. I've never been to one of these places, but this first experience was very positive. I needed a whooping cough/tetanus shot. I wanted to check to make sure that my insurance covered it before we went through the whole filling out forms and going through the computer dog and pony show. She was happy to do that for me. I told her my concerns regarding lingering arm pain from the tetanus shot and she went over ways to keep it from being as bad as it was last time. She was very nice and made sure I was ready, and even sang a song while giving me the shot! Funny! She was very sweet. Exactly the personality a medical professional should have. On the other hand, minus 2 stars for the less-than-helpful gals at the pharmacy. When I arrived NP Acosta was at lunch and the Minute Clinic wasn't due to re-open for another half hour. I asked the ladies behind the counter at the pharmacy it they could check to see if my insurance would cover the shot so I didn't have to wait around for half an hour for no reason. They looked at me as if I had 2 heads. "Umm... can we do that here??? Umm... nnnno. You have to ask at the Minute Clinic." Really? There's no way you can go tippy-tapping on your computer there and find out if my insurance covers a whooping cough shot? Really? It's times like this when I'm so thankful I get my meds mailed to me now and don't have to deal with pharmacies. Bottom Line: Definitely go to the Minute Clinic, NP Acosta is awesome. I went to pick up a Rx and was #7 in line. No problem. I can wait my turn. After 37 min and being boxed in so I couldn't leave I called to ask about the wait. It was then that they told me they are doing Covid testing at the drive thru and it can take 30-40 per car if they have two or three people in the car. No warning or signs to warn of the long wait, and the drive through isn't big enough to pull out and turn around. read more

The only time I shop here is for prescription medications. Fortunately, that's a rarity in our household. Unfortunately, my wife was hit with a really bad flu this past week that required a couple of emergency call in medications from our doctor. CVS filled them in about half an hour and I picked it up with no problems. The pharmacist gave me the consult and I was in and out in under 10 minutes. Make sure to ask cash vs. insurance price, as sometimes cash is less expensive. In this case, insurance was the better deal. But it's always good to ask. read more

This is my go-to pharmacy. I like it because it has a drive-thru pick up which is convenient for a mom on the go who's kids always end up falling asleep in the car while I do errands.....OR when I have a sick kid with me who's coughing up a lung and I don't feel like exposing the germs to other people when needing to pick up medications. The pharmacy staff is efficient and friendly. I've never gotten a wrong prescription. They have an automated line that calls me when my orders are ready for pick up. Sometimes I actually go inside and the store is clean and has a nice layout. Items are easy to find and staff is helpful. read more

This CVS is not as big as the one in Westview, but it's close to home. What I notice about this location is there is always a line and only one cashier. Lines are long. It is right next to a gas station so it's easy to run in after getting gas. Only suggestion is to have more cashiers or call for help when you have 3 or more people. read more

So sick of waiting. The pharmacy is incredibly slow. I came in on the first day and waited 20 minutes just for them to tell me they were out of my prescription. On top of that another cvs was supposed to transfer my prescription and had not. The girl at this location called them and said she couldn't get through. I called right after her and got through. It felt like they were half a@@ing. I return the next day as told, another 20 minute wait just to update my insurance information? You gotta be kidding me. I am so embarrassed and ashamed that I need medication to balance my mood. I hide this fact from everyone I know. The problem is that I need to take care of 2 kids and my father. I have been on Neurontin for mood stabilization.... for a long time. Lately, since my mom passed, I have needed more to just be able to sleep and function like a normal person. I had an appointment with my Dr this morning. She increased my dose. The pharmacy will not release it. They feel that I am an addict. Even posting this, I know how it will read.....just another addict.... Everyone wants to increase, Mental health awareness. Do not ever fill a prescription here. I keep mistakenly coming back because it's close to my house, but I promise I won't be back. Your doctor may send a prescription here. They will not likely have it or fill it. You can call to make sure they'll fill it. They will lie to you and tell you it will be ready in 30 mins. It will not. You will go there and they will tell you it's not ready. They will tell you it will be ready in 30 more minutes. You will leave and come back and they will tell you it will be ready in 30 minutes. It will not. It may never be ready. They need to shut this pharmacy down for a weeks and start over again. read more

The moron at the window looked back to his co worker who told us they were closed and to go all the way to Mira Mesa. Really? So 8:55 is closed now? I went to Rite Aid next door and they are open until 10pm and gill the prescription in 20. This CVS just lost my business for two morons. Believe every negative review you read on the pharmacy in this place, because it is s***house. The worst part is the actual pharmacist has her s*** together, and you can see it when she talks with her airheaded flunkies. My husband and I went in one week for some new prescriptions, and the first thing we hear is flunky 1 telling flunky 2 how disorganized the back is and how it's impossible to find anything. A week later we try to pick up the rest of his prescriptions (because of course one was missing and of course they didn't bother telling us that they didn't have it) and flunky 1 (or 2) told us they still didn't have the item. This time we heard the pharmacist tell the flunky to actually go look, flunky comes back empty handed. Pharmacist goes to find it and BAM! It's like magic. Item was there this whole time can ya imagine that? I saw the pharmacist trying very hard not to roll her eyes, which proves she's a better person than me. Next time I went in, I overheard that the pharmacy is understaffed, though I bet one competent employee could do much more than the two flunkies. And I have heaps more pharmacy stories, like the time they had us leave an insurance card with them for a few hours because... I don't know? They don't have a copy machine? I have no idea. Front end is great, no complaints there. In and out very quickly for purchases at the regular counter, but pharmacy is ridiculous. There's a Rite Aid in the same shopping complex. Once again while we had to "wait until tomorrow after 3:30 because we will need to have it sent to us...we are out", after lots of difficulty, we had the prescription switched to MM and it was ready in minutes. One of the pharmacy techs started arguing with me about my opinion on my prescription. I had talked to plenty of providers and went to school myself, so I didn't appreciate her condescending attitude. If she didn't agree with my decision, the least she can do is ask if I wanted to speak with the pharmacist and get another opinion. They also made me wait in two lines because even though my doctor sent in the prescription, I have to go to the "drop off" line instead of "pick up" line. This is confusing. At least make the signs to be "pick up recurring orders" and "drop off/pick up new orders". read more
