PRETTY GOOD WINE SELECTION Stopped here from out of town after visiting Temecula's wineries. I was on the hunt for some local wines after much of the wineries had closed Sunday evening. There is a nice selection of wine here for a CVS. They have wines from South Coast and Wilson Creek. They were about a dollar cheaper than the Temecula Wine & Spirits store - just across the street - but only cause it was on sale. Other than those two local wines, there were not other local brands. Yet, there were plenty of other brands I had not heard of before that may be worth trying. The Ralph's Market, however, has a much larger selection than CVS; about twice the amount of selection. read more

Wednesday, Nov 19, 2025: I accompanied my son to get some over the counter meds for his affliction. I perused their candy aisle and the variety of newly stocked Christmas decorations. I really don't need any more decor but I like to browse. I picked a couple of the fruit & nut Cadbury bars, which remind me of Chunky chocolate bars. Do they still sell those? Anyhow the store is clean and organized. So hard to believe that Christmas is around the corner. There were good sales throughout the store. I have the app, which gives me coupons I can use at check out. This time I was able to save $3.00. The cashier was very nice, polite, and efficient. We really like this CVS. The worst experience I've had yet at any store. Rude clerk at the pharmacy. Horrible phone menu when calling the pharmacist. I submitted a prescription, wanting to try out a pharmacy closer to where I live. They changed the last name from what was on the doctor's prescription to a name I haven't had for 10 years. They saw my id with my current name when I picked it up and never questioned me about it. I will NEVER go to CVS again. read more

The people complaining about the pharmacy line being long are the reason why it's long. My flu medicine was ready, I had my card out, took 2 minutes for everything. I see people in line fishing for their credit cards or asking stupid questions when you can read the directions on the brown bag or med bottle or trying to find a coupon. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The pharmacy is lacking in every aspect. Lines are 30-45 long and then when you finally get to the window, they NEVER have my prescription ready even though I got the text that it is. My medication is injectable, so I need 1mL syringes, they're not in back order and I'm willing to pay it (even though I have a script for them and insurance can cover it) but the male pharmacist today said they'll try to order it but no guarantee (even though I've bought it in this location before) and told me to use Amazon (even though Amazon syringes are sketchy and poor quality). Irna and Amin went out of their way to ensure I had an exceptional customer service experience. They generally cared about me, transferring my prescription and taking time to fix an insurance mishap all with a smile and dedication to their craft. Third time in a row I show up for a 30 day prescription and receive a 15 day prescription. I push back, get told I'm wrong until they check the system and realize their incorrect. Then I get told I have to come back the next day for the 30 day since they only have 15 and can't give me half. No apologies, no explanations on why they again made a mistake. This review is for the pharmacy the employee by the name of Jenny. She was extremely rude to me. I was picking up my son's prescription. She looked absolutely miserable, when I got the total I simply asked if she had the correct insurance information and she ignored me. I asked her again and she said yes, ma'am your insurance is in there, in a very condescending tone. She did not ask if I had any questions for the pharmacist so I asked what exactly was prescribed just to verify, again she was extremely annoyed.. very disappointing when I have a sick son at home to encounter such a rude person.. just a tip if you are a miserable human being you probably shouldn't work with the public.. let alone a pharmacy. read more

CVS has been our preferred pharmacy with our insurance and this location - at the intersection of Temecula Parkway & Butterfield Stage Road - is very convenient for us. It's in the shopping center with Ralphs, Postal Annex and Sushi Love Boat. Parking is always readily available. You can sign up to receive texts when your Rxs are ready for pickup (which I'd highly recommend), and you can pay through the app to save a little time at pickup. They do have a pharmacy pick-up drive through which is great. During the pandemic, they mailed my prescriptions to me free of charge, which I really appreciated. We've gotten Covid and flu vaccines there, and they also have a Minute Clinic. The pharmacy staff is efficient and friendly. CVS has a crazy amount of deals and coupons, if you have the time to go through them and click to add to your card. You are also able to buy online for pickup which is great and how I prefer to shop there! I would recommend signing up for coupons/deals to be emailed, and you can also just set up an account and do the same online. On the downside, the lines for the pharmacy drive-through, as well as in-store, can get very long if you go at the wrong time of day. read more

Unsure if this is the pharmacy's fault, however I placed or thought I had three prescriptions to this location at 11:30, 30 minutes after a visit to the doctors. It's now 1:30 I am checking and there is no order, doctor had to recall the order and now I'm waiting for it to be filled. You'd think it's be easy to fill with the amount technology that's required to even talk to a human, It's such a waste of time for a small amount of resources to be saved. Thank you Derek for your warm hospitality! Derek's excellence earned this store a 5 stars rating from me. I am not local, my GPS took me to a different direction, not the direction it should, I had a bad phone conversation with someone so my mind were still on it, I didn't notice that the GPS is leading me towards the wrong route further out to my destination. By the time I noticed it my battery were at 3%, there were just mountain and hills all around, phone signal were super poor, panic! Then I saw this CVS, I decided to stop in to see if I can charge my phone, Derek assisted me. Derek were very nice and with warm gesture, the same gesture I use when I do someone a favor so that they don't feels bad or feel shy receiving favor from me, Derek gave me the same gesture. Without hesitation he offered to help, then he came up with the solution where he have my usb plug into a charger box from him then he plug it into the charging port to charge by the photo section where are seats to sit on. Thank you so much Derek! I very much appreciate your help. If kind action should be recognized for recognition, which it should, I would like to recommend Derek to be compliment and recognize by his employer for such genuine kind gesture, it is representative as Derek that have people keep coming back. I can only speak to my pharmacy experience. There was a young female pharmacist with dark hair and dark skin. I obviously didn't get her name but she was efficient, caring and very good. She did a series of vaccines and could not have been better. I tried calling back to get her name but I couldn't get thru. I would literally give this pharmacy a NEGATIVE 5 if I could!!! They are the absolute WORST!!! COMPLETE A-HOLES!!! I had a root canal done today up in Riverside and they called in my prescription before I even left the office (1 1/2 hours before arriving to CVS). When I arrived, they said they did not have a prescription and it was never called in to them. I called my endodontist and they confirmed they did call it in and left it on their voice machine OVER an hour and a half prior to that. On the machine it says messages will be checked every 15 minutes. Obviously they didn't check it so I went back through the drive-through and told them yes it was called in an hour and a half ago and I need to have it ASAP because I live half an hour away. I live out in the desert and I didn't want to waste $20 in gas and an hour plus of my time because these idiots didn't do their job! Anyhow, after going through the drive-through twice, they finally said OK we'll work on it and you can't sit here in the drive-through and I'm like well I think I can sit here until a car comes at least and she goes well yeah you can do that. So I did for about 10 minutes before a car came. I decided to run over to the grocery store real quick as it was 11:50 by this point which gave me enough time before they close for lunch from 12:30 to 1. When I came back it was 12:25 & there were two other cars in line. It became 12:30 while I was still in line and the car that had been waiting before me and myself waiting they IGNORED & closed the metal gate at the window and would not give us our prescriptions. So... when I got up there, I honked as I could see her right there through the metal gate, and she refused to open the window. So then I laid on the horn for almost a minute and still nothing. So thank you very much CVS pharmacy that sucks beyond belief for wasting $20 AND an extra hour plus of my time to be able to take the antibiotics that I needed to start immediately!!! if I could leave zero stars I honestly would. and no shade to CVS in general, but the customer service with regards to gift cards is WILD! a family member purchase a Walmart gift card from a cvs location. we tried to use it and it wasn't working. Come to find out it the info from the card was hacked. Not our fault right? cvs lost our complaint the first time. So we had to open another one, and then they said it was gonna take another 45 days after it had already taken a month. walmart couldn't solve the issue bc the card was bought at a CVS. So terrible!! The pharmacist here is EXTREMELY DISCRIMINATORY if you need any type of pain relief! I broke my ankle in three places downhill mountain biking 2 weeks ago, had emergency surgery to put STEEL rods through my leg to hold the bones together, and a second surgery 2 weeks later, which I needed to have a prescription of pain pills ready for. My boyfriend went to pick up the prescription and the pharmacist said he would not fill it, even when I got on the phone and explained having 3 broken bones, being in between 2 surgeries, pain management, long recovery etc. The pharmacist proceeded to rattle off medications I have taken over the years that had absolutely nothing to do with having broken my ankle!! It is not my fault that I had a horrible ACCIDENT with broken bones and needed pain relief, that is the entire purpose of these medications!! Completely stressed out, I went so far as to have my doctor call CVS personally, and this judgmental jerk pharmacist still refused to fill it!!! Even though I was having surgery within 12 hours at a local hospital with a renowned orthopedic surgeon. They were the only pharmacy in the entire town that had the specific medication I was prescribed for my recovery and they would not fill the damn prescription! I cannot believe how unethical it is that I had to sit in absolute agony for hours leading up to my surgery, simply because they assumed I was addicted to drugs. I completely understand that there is an epidemic in this country, but when somebody has BROKEN bones and cannot walk, is housebound, cannot work and cannot function on a normal level, it should be this CVS's goal to make life easier for patients going through a drastically painful experience, not to throw an innocent and drug-free customer (me!) into a tailspin of excruciating pain! I use the pharmacy here intermittently and never willingly. They are slow, what I would call disconnected from quality customer service. I needed a refill on a prescription. I have a new doctor and new insurance. The doc called it in same day. Unfortunately this pharmacy put it on hold for well over 24 hours due to a new insurance card info needed. You would think that they would have picked up the phone to request that I come in right......quality customer care Not! So now I'm sitting waiting an additional 15 minutes while I wait for them to fill the script. I sure miss doing this by mail every 3 months . . read more

I went to the pharmacy to get a prescription filled. had to wait 20 minutes. No problem at all. Then got back in line and waited another 10 minute. No problem at all. The counter Lady got my prescription and then said " I will reduce the line" as others got in line after me. She does one item verifying my ID, then says wait, calls another patron, and starts helping him at another window and then a third customer while I am still standing there. I am waiting and she comes back and does one item on the computer, and I am supposed to confirm my email. I do and she WALKS AWAY AGAIN and starts searching in 2 bins for the other people's orders while I stand there waiting for her to punch something on the computer. Then, after a few minutes, she comes back does something else I'm supposed to sign the machine for my credit card, and she WALKS AWAY AGAIN to help others. What a ridiculous and dangerous thing to do! I would have been done in 60 seconds with everything if she just focused on safety and customer service. There is a good possibility. She may get people mixed up with the prescriptions or consults as she did with me as she told me "goodbye" and started to walk away after she finally let me pay, when I said to her "excuse me if you remember, I told you I needed a consult and I needed a question about another drug". But because she couldn't remember who she was serving or what the prescriptions were, because she got confused running around helping too many customers at once. This is how mistakes are made which could be life-threatening if she gave me or someone the wrong prescription and I didn't check it because she thought she was so cool trying to reduce the line. She couldn't remember who she was helping because she was too busy running around like she was all that trying to help three customers at once. That is not professional, and should not be allowed She should never walk away from a patient at the window to help individuals just to quote "get the line down". It took longer for her to do that than it would've been if she just helped me and went from person to person. This is a serious issue and it needs to be addressed. Hopefully CVS looks at this and says that what she did is ridiculous and can be dangerous and advise the staff to not to do it again. ** Editing my review. And I thought what the counterperson did was bad. At my consult I had to remind the counter lady that I needed it, The pharmacist said all I have to do is "Take 3 pills a day". So when I got home, I popped out three yellow pills, however I noticed the packaging was six pills in a foil package half the package was gold and half the package was silver. As a result, I started reading the foil package words under each pill foil pocket and there were two separate names of drugs? Since the doctor told me to take three a day, I Just popped out three pills - which all happened to be yellow in color. Then out of curiosity, I popped one of the other foil pill pockets and the 4th pill WAS WHITE in color? Then I stopped. I didn't listen now to the pharmacist and I read the paper instructions thoroughly, which I should've done anyway, but the pharmacist told me "'just to take three pills." I mean a "consult" with a pharmacist you think is the best because they are supposed to be the experts. He was wrong. It's not "just three pills a day" ---- I have to take two tablets of nirmatrelvir and one tablet of ritonavir) twice a day for 5 consecutive days. 1. Take two yellow pills and one white pill 2. Twice a day!- in the morning and night! Not just three random pills "once a day" like he instructed me. This is absolutely unbelievable. I will never use this pharmacy again in my lifetime. My review is in reference to pharmacist David. I had been out of a RX that, if not taken everyday, can bring on very uncomfortable symptoms. My regular pharmacy, as well as many others that I called had them on order, and said I would have to wait a few more days. My last call was to CVS, and I got David on the phone. He initially told me the same, they did not have enough to fill my RX. I don't know if he just sensed my defeat? But he said, "If you want, I can give you what I have, and then you can pick the rest up when we get it in" I literally cried from relief, as I was not feeling well at at this point. We had an appointment for flu and COVID-19 booster. We arrived early and checked online when we were physically at CVS. Fifteen minutes later, I checked in at the Pharmacy drop off/ vaccines counter. I asked if anything had changed because it's 15 minutes past our appointment. The man (dark haired) working the counter indicated nothing had changed (but offers no other information). Another 15 minutes later, I'm called by the same guy for my vaccines. The trash can was full, they are very disorganized and rude. He insisted we needed to pay even though we have insurance and I provided my card. This was a 30-minute waste of time. There's no need for rude interactions with customers. Service at CVS in the pharmacy has gone down dramatically in the past few months. Recently they took my spouse's Drivers License in order to perform a vaccination and they lost the license while we were waiting for the vaccine! The manager promised to tear the store apart that night and look for it and then never contacted us to let us know the outcome. The last two times I was in the store the pharmacist was running the register so there was no one available to fill prescriptions while you wait. I waited in the consult line for 15 minutes one time and no one was able to assist me. So I called on the phone the next day for the pharmacist and was on hold for more than 40 minutes before I was assisted. I have been a CVS customer for more than 12 years but I'm moving all my prescriptions elsewhere! read more

*UPDATE - this was ORGINALLY posted in January 2022 and I have not received a reply from Corporate. They must not care! Evidently CVS jokingly has two meanings... This is for the CVS Pharmacy Department on ButterfieldStage and Temecula Parkway. My personal experience; I had the worst and most upsetting experience at this CVS Pharmacy. It is like the beauty of Customer Service did not exist within the person who served me. He was rude, eye rolling, smug, condescending and offensive in so many ways. I have never been treated so poorly! My Mother needed assistance and after waiting on hold for over an hour was told she needed to basically help herself by going to the website herself. My husband was there at the store to pick up her prescriptions and they always charge to her card. Evidently there was an issue. Maybe expiration date? My Mom was at home to trying to resolve over phone. Nobody could help an 85 year old woman who is sick and becomes easily anxious. She needed help with a simple request. Because they couldn't help her my husband had to pay for her prescription. When I went to CVS in person with her card the next day expecting to resolve the situation very simply, I was addressed with the worst attitude from the guy behind the service counter. After I told the guy my mother had waited on hold for over an hour only to be told they couldn't help her I told him I brought the card for them to update her account (my name is on her account). He told me to go online to the app and have her correct it there. I asked him why he couldn't do it with the computer that was right in front of him. He shrugged his shoulders at me and said " this is why your Mom had to wait so long on hold because we have to help people like you!" I was shocked!!! I asked why he was putting it on me. Why was he trying to make me feel bad? He says "oh sorry!" Very smug and insincere! I told him it wasn't my fault that they are understaffed. He then proceeded to tell me that they are dealing with Covid patients all day as if that was an excuse as I stood in front of him in my medical scrubs. I told him he was rude and that he needs to learn customer service. He then rolled his eyes and said "oh yea...ohhhkay!"  He then asked " can't you do it for your mom or do you not want to help her?" I then gasped and asked him what did he think I was doing there! I told him I can't put her app on my phone because I already have an app open for myself. You can't have two on your phone. Bottom line I left after being in the store for over an hour, I never received the help I hoped for my mom. I then called corporate and lodged a complaint. The guy I spoke with was very understanding and appalled at how I was treated but then proceeded to transfer me to that same store to the SAME person who was so mean to me!!! He said "oh yeah I remember you!" He of course had a different attitude when Customerservice was on the line. I was eventually  sent a code to use over the phone and I was transferred and the code was wrong. Then the call was disconnected. So very long story short the problem was NOT resolved!!! CVS get your act together and be a little more sympathetic to the elderly and sick and those who are not tech savvy! Bring Customer Service Back!!! I was told I would receive a follow up. My husband was given someone elses medication luckly he checked the name it was someone elses. If this had been a medication that could have caused health issues. No one seems to understand there the seriousness of the misconduct caused. He was also accused of taking meds that he had not taken. Michelle the new, inexperienced, unprofessional, lack of knowledge and incompetent in understanding that she is not a Dr. but just a pharmacist who should stick to her job description, has caused nothing but issues in releasing my pain meds that is prescribed to me by my primary care doctor. This all started when I went to the ER In Scripps La Jolla. The doctor there prescribed me a pain med with the following instructions: 1 tab every 6 hours 10 tabs to last 15 days . That's an obvious error as anyone who knows basic math would be able to see that that does not add up. That error has now caused issues in any/all future prescription of that medication until July 9th. I called my primary care doctor who had her nurse call and confirm that an "early" pick up of my pain medication is authorized, Michelle still declined. I then called the ER that made the original mistake and spoke to the charge nurse, that charge nurse called Michelle along with their pharmacist to confirm that that original prescription was an error on their end and yet again she won't release my meds. The charge nurse along with the ER doctor and pharmacist were baffled as to how this pharmacist could be so incompetent. I then was told that Michelle stated that I was red flagged. I called right away to see why she would say such a thing and her explanation was that she just didn't feel comfortable releasing my meds because of the other meds I'm prescribed in conjunction with these pain meds. I explained to her that is no reason to red flag me. I explained to her that my primary care doctor is who is prescribing these meds and that I am more than capable in administering these meds with my education background. This pharmacist is on a MAJOR power trip and I will take this as far as I can. I will contact her manager, I will contact her licensing institute and I will provide all records, letters from both the charge nurse and ER doctor along with a letter from my primary care doctor. Because of Michelle I will more than likely end up in the ER. I take those pain meds every 6 hours even setting an alarm to wake me in the middle of the night because of pain management. I have an Annular Tear in my L-5 disc located in my lumbar back and a bulging disc that is compressing my nerve causing one episode of bladder incontinence. The pain that I am feeling is much worse than labor pain. Michelle should let the doctors be doctors and she should stick to being an awful pharmacist that she is. Please do not go to this pharmacy. I've never in my life experienced someone like this. It's honestly disturbing! Luckily I was able to get my prescriptions all filled at the Scripps Green Hospital with zero issues but unfortunately my husband had to drive 50 miles out of his way both there and back with our small children as I am unable to care for my children due to my injury. UPDATE: Had surgery Wednesday August 14th and during that surgery they found a large disc fragment that was compressing my nerve. MRI's don't always show everything sometimes and, if this was presented during my first or second MRI it would have resulted in an EMERGENCY surgery. The pain associated with this is SEVERE & EXCRUCIATING! My pain now post-op after having a 2 inch incision, cutting through my back muscle and drilling a hole in my spine, is nothing compared to my pre-op pain. As I write this update I am recovering at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla. With my pain drastically down since my surgery and how well I did in PT today, I should be discharged tomorrow. Michelle, I hope you learn how to do your job. I hope you learn to allow Doctors to do their jobs and I pray that you don't ever do this to anyone else. My doctor took a picture of the large disc fragment that they removed and I will be submitting that picture along with all other documents to all the appropriate people.
