Shoutout to sales manager(?) David! for helping us locate an item in the back room! We went to a CVS and suggested we check the Tiburon CVS. My girlfriend was having a bad day and wanted to find a Hello Kitty greeter that has just been released. We called and David stated he sees the box, but he couldn't get to it till the next day. On the next day, we called and David said he can get to it and have it waiting for us when we arrived. When we arrived, the item was waiting at the register and we checked out with a smile on all our faces. We thanked David and went on our way! My fiance was just treated wrong by the self checkout person. He was rude and very racist towards her with making unnecessary gestures and rude gestures. Then turn to the white person with all happy smiles and doing the most greeting with happy 4th and having a very different interaction with her. This is very unprofessional and will follow up with management unacceptable we are all paying customers and should not be treated differently because the color of our skin. read more

The CVS pharmacy Tiburon- I don't know what it is but most everyone who works here is extremely rude and blase. They expect you to shout out your birthday or private information instead of coming to the window all the while acting like they are doing you a big favor. Also, count your meds because I was recently shorted on my pills which were expensive. I have never been in line and experienced any rude customers- it is quite the opposite- all of the bad attitude is coming from within the pharmacy. read more

This is by far the WORST pharmacy I've ever encountered, living in 6 states over the 35 year period. First, it's literally impossible to reach this pharmacy by phone. This creates multiple issues as other pharmacies can't even transfer over prescriptions since they too complain that they can't get in touch with this place. It seems to be a well known fact in the area. Secondly, the prices are outrageous on common drugs. Since Amazon Pharmacy launched, we've noticed a 50-75% or more savings on the same drugs we were purchasing here. The only time we use the CVS Tiburon pharmacy is for emergency needs. To be fair, we've noticed the same price gouging at Walgreens. Last, the people working the counter are incredibly rude and short with customers (literally, every single time we've gone or called). Now that we've lived here for almost a year, we've learned that everyone in the community seems to already know this. If you are new to the Tiburon/Belvedere community, save a trip and just sign up for Amazon pharmacy. Or make the extra drive to Safeway pharmacy in Strawberry village. I had an inappropriate encounter with a CVS employee at this location. I was going in for an online order pickup in the evening with my friend. I am disabled and it's difficult for me to bend with my knees so there I went bending down forward (not very ladylike I know but what can you do when you have bad discs) to reach for an M&M mini container at the bottom of the checkout counter. My friend nudged me to get back up because someone was behind me and as I was coming up I saw a CVS employee only a step away right at my a** with his groin pointing in my direction. I felt so agrevated and violated at the moment. I had no words for this man's behavior. I gave him a stern look and he quickly reacted and gave me my order. I felt humiliated and personally assaulted. This particular employee has had witnessed several time specifically in the afternoons till night. I had previously seen him acting in hypocritical, angry, and inpatient behaviors with customers at the self-checkouts. I am disgusted at how individuals as such are hired. I am appalled of the encounter and no do not feel comfortable entering into this store. This has been my go-to pharmacy since the Sausalito location closed. They have filled my same 2 prescriptions for years & idk what the disconnect suddenly is but I was harassed and hung up on several times to get something refilled. I don't know what the attitude is here or what's causing the discrimination here, but that is ADA discrimination & now I have to speak to a lawyer about it. Maybe it's bc they've given me months of sugar pills (which I have saved to have tested) & I tried to complain about it & they never answered me. I'm pretty sure one of the pharmacists is someone named Brittany I knew from high school. So you know, Tiburon CVS (or anyone reading really) I was in fact born with Spina Bifida & have several disabilities but because of mentioned medications you've filled for years, I can live a mostly normal life. Your sudden discrimination & messing with my medications has severely debilitated my ability to function & live my life. Just because someone doesn't look disabled, doesn't mean they aren't. And what else you don't know; my health insurance is supposed to be covered for life bc of botched Navy surgeries which my parents sued Balboa Navy Hospital. My high school & family have been screwing around with my insurance info & someone named Brandy Cooper gave me a number you are blaming me for. read more

CVS has real big issues with their employees inability to answer phones in a timely manner. I understand the pharmacy gets busy but the wait time is absolutely unacceptable. You'll wait anywhere from 20-60 mins for them to answer. They place you on hold automatically and then answer the phone to ask you to continue holding. I spent almost an hour and finally hung up because I have things to do. CVS needs to work on a better way to get these employees answering the phones in a timely manner. I've worked answering phones and I understand that they can get hectic but 50 minutes? Completely inefficient. It's unfortunate that to speak to someone you have to physically go to the store, a waste of time when you should just be able to call and get your question answered. read more

I'm not going to lie, I use to absolutely hate this pharmacy when I moved to Tiburon about two years ago. However, over the past year they have really become great. The previous people I dealt with that had attitudes no longer seem to be there and I've had nothing but great experiences this past year. The pharmacist, John, is really really amazing. He has always helped me manage my prescriptions (and my dogs) get them filled on time/ early, and helped me out tremendously when I was switching insurances. He is really knowledgeable and generally caring. I'm happy to have a pharmacy and pharmacist I can trust as they seem to be few and far between. read more

I bought 2 of an item because a sign on the shelf said the second was half price. I discovered later that I had been charged full price for both. I returned to the store and asked for a refund. The clerk said I should have entered my phone number to get the discount. I told him that no one told me to.do this and how is a customer supposed to know that the discount isn't applied without a phone number? He then became very rude, told me he was refunding the appropriate amount and that I had nothing to complain about. Things got worse from there. I wonder how many other CVS customers have been over charged because no one told them to enter a phone number? Also, this is but one of many bad experiences at this store. read more

The pharmacist at CVS Tiburon is an awful, terrible not very nice person. She is a doctor wannabe. She interfered with prescriptions because she didn't like what doctor prescribed. So instead of doing her job, she made it difficult to fill rx, delayed rx, would hold on to Rx's and not fill them, and was really rude about it all. She needs to learn some boundaries. I'm not a fan of the pharmacy or the staff in the pharmacy. There is really no place to get a vaccine that feels private. However, I do love the CVS store (front) and the friendly staff, especially the manager David. It is a pandemic and my husband and I are told to go home and make an online appt. for Shingles and TDaP shots. There was no line, nobody in the carline either. I just went to Safeway where they give you a 10% off your groceries if you get a vaccine and offer a private place. read more

If I could post a minus star, that would be the ticket. Due to the convenient location of this particular CVS, I stop in from time to time. And, almost every time I have popped in, I have to deal with a particular cashier. This young man truly goes out of his way to create discomfort for the customer. At first, I thought it was just me. And, then I watched him exact the same behavior on several other customers. He is aggressive. Period. He is overwhelming with his words and behaviors. It's a level of chaos that I have never experienced with any other type of cashier in my life. He doesn't so much greet you as you walk through the door but singles you out and just about shouts, "Hello! What are YOU here for?!" He then asks unrelated questions. It's very confusing and in your face. Upon checking out ~ he will badger you again with unrelated questions while he is answering himself and not making eye contact ~while he is trying on different accents. He has a chaotic way of communicating that is totally unrelated to anything that is going on. I actually spoke to his floor manager months ago about this after I watched him completely confuse an elderly woman who was just trying to pay for her items. The floor manager claimed that they do not discriminate at CVS. And, I was informed that this particular employee has Asperger's and ADHD. She was not interested in hearing about my experience or observations. She seemed totally offended that I was trying to speak with her about this. I was totally confused after this conversation. I have worked in customer service my entire life. I would never think to attempt to create discomfort for my customers. I like people. I enjoy humans. I like bringing joy to others with a smile. That is what I know to be true customer service. And, I know, if one is experiencing mental health issues, one does not exact that pain on a customer. And, this man is like a kid in a candy shop. I have watched him, most recently, in the past two weeks exact whatever anger or hurt is going on with him onto all of his customers as I was there waiting in line to be checked out and with increasing anxiety. And, now I am done. Maybe it's a sign of the times. Maybe it's incredibly difficult to work at CVS. Maybe CVS employees are not paid enough to care. Whatever the case, after this evening, I am not in need of whatever CVS is selling. I will wait and drive to the next town over for a tube of toothpaste another day. Good Gawd. THE worse CVS anywhere. They have no clue what they are doing. They text you that your prescription is ready, you go down there and they say it's not ready. This happens all the time. We spent the day in SF but spent the night in Tiburon. We could've gone home but since the kid has to start school soon, we decided to make it an overnight trip. My wife booked a room at a nearby hotel and to my chagrin, I didn't have a toothbrush so I spent the night with stinky breath and decided to make an early morning trot to CVS. The store front looks nice and to me, it gives it the appearance that it is bigger than it really is. It seems like all CVS's have their own individual floor plan so it took me a minute to figure out where the toothbrushes and Tylenol were stashed. When I was there, they had a bunch of employees stocking the whole store so not to interfere with the busiest part of the day. The cashier was an older lady and was pleasant. She asked if I needed any assistance and I told her I was browsing after finding what I needed. It appears the local residents of Tiburon have issues with this store but MAYBE....just maybe it's the people who live here???? As long as I can remember, this whole area has been known to be...should I dare say it?....Snooty? I recall a Johnny Carson show with Rodney Dangerfield dissin Sausalito and Sausalito is just a stones throw from here. I'm definitely sure the "normal" folks working the service industry can't afford to live here. I'm guessing even the firemen and possibly the CVS pharmacist don't live here. Maybe it would help to recognize and treat "regular" folks with civility and you'll get better service in return???? Just a thought, suggestion and observation from distant visits during my younger years. Maybe it isn't true. Anyways, my experience was okay. Nothing out of the ordinary. When ever I come to visit my family members who live in tiburon, I can never find what I am looking for especially when it comes to razors and skincare. They have a pretty good selection when it comes to the overpriced luxury brands, but not a good selection on stuff like CeraVe, and Aveeno. My sister also can never find the makeup she is looking for. I imagine that it would be fine to get your prescription filled here, but not great for much else. Why is everyone hating on this CVS? It's spacious, light and I've never had to wait in line behind more than one person. I have seen lines of 3 people or so, but not needed to join them at the time. The cashiers have been nice, helpful, patient and the pharmacist is very quick (I had to change my Rx last time was there). I avoided this pharmacy because of the bad reviews, but have zero evidence as to why this place is poorly reviewed. I am so glad that I no longer have to deal with the clusterfluff that is the Rite Aid/Whole Foods parking lot in MV anymore. Yay CVS with the many parking spaces and spacious store! read more
