We did not have a good experience with Cyclone Air Systems Inc. We requested an estimate via Yelp messaging and received a response almost immediately, in which I replied with our cell number. They sent us a text message immediately with an estimate. So, we called and scheduled a time for Mario to come out and provide us a more accurate estimate agreeing taking a look at our attic. He said he would be at our home between 10am-12pm for Tuesday. It was 12pm and still no call or text. So, I called their Concord office line and texted the same number - still no response. Five minutes later, I receive a call from their admin that Mario is "running late" and will be there in 15 minutes. He shows up, looks at everything, gives his explanation, and said he'll need to send his "project manager" tomorrow (Wednesday) to see if they can do the job, so I should be home all day. So, now, it's Wednesday, and nothing - dead silence. No call, no project manager, no text...nothing. I called and texted again if they were going to stop by, and no response. Seriously?! I felt like a crazy girl trying to get ahold of a guy who just ghosted her! One day passes (it's Thursday night now), which is two days after the initial visit), and I call to see what's going on. Mario answers and says he can't do the job because they don't have enough ducting and the ducting company/manufacturer only sold him "two ducts" for another client. So, you couldn't call or text us to tell inform us that?! Okaaaaaaaay... We are SUPER annoyed. We wasted three full days just to find out that your company can't do the job in the first place due to lack of materials?!? On top of that, no one had the respect or decency to let us know?! Quick update: The owner called me and apologized for the subpar service we received. The particular worker I write about below has already left Cyclone (turns out he was late to several other jobs). The owner refunded me for my time because of that worker's lateness; he even sent me the refund during our phone call. I appreciate this owner's commitment to service. -- TL;DR Cyclone is cheaper than most companies we called for dryer duct cleaning. The owner is very responsive and friendly, but the man who came over was extremely late and, after initially confirming the service cost $169, then claimed it actually cost $179. The owner refunded me when I texted him later about this, but clearly there is some miscommunication going on in their company. After calling a few companies I found on Yelp, Cyclone gave us the most affordable estimate for dryer duct cleaning ($169 vs $200+ at other companies). We decided to go with Cyclone for this reason. However, our service came extremely late. I was told our window was 12-2pm, and the service would take 30-45 minutes. I took that to mean that they would be there by 1:15 at the latest. At 1:20pm I texted the owner that no one had shown up yet, he said that they were running late, and someone would there by 2:00 or 2:15pm. By 2:30pm, still no one had shown up. I texted the owner, no response. I had already moved several meetings to make sure I was free 12-2pm, but now I had to get back to work. Finally, our guy showed up at 2:50pm (50 minutes late). I wasn't available and told my husband the cost was $169. He double checked with the worker on the cost, and the worker said yes, $169. When the work was done, my husband wrote a check for $169, and then the worker said, oh sorry, no it's $179. Later when my husband told me this, I texted the owner about the discrepancy, who immediately Venmo'ed me $10. read more

He was thorough and worked through several potential issues and explained what he was doing during the process. Our issue was fixed the same day as the initial inspection and he had a temperature and pressure gauge to document what he was doing. WOW! Incredible responsiveness and incredible service. My dad was desperate to get help for a furnace that kept shutting down. I reached out to a bunch of different places thinking I would find someone to come some time over the next few days. Low and behold, Ruth and Cyclone Air responded immediately to my 6:30pm inquiry. After figuring out location and logistics, they told me someone could come by the same evening! Note this is 8:30pm. Lincoln showed up to help diagnose the issue. He was even able to service the unit on the spot (note Lincoln finished pretty much past 9:30 at this point). It ended up being a computer board issue for those who are curious. Lincoln said the furnace should last at least another 5 - 10+ years, so the computer board fix was a fraction of the price of getting a replacement furnace (and my dad was able to get heat the same night). Lincoln was determined to fix the issue and get everything set before leaving for the night. Ruth helped coordinate everything by responding immediately to my Yelp inquiry and messages, and also connected us with Lincoln. So we hadn't used our air conditioning since last summer! Pleasant Hill hit 101 last week so I went to switch on our trusty AC and left to run some errands while the house cooled down.
