This evening a technician came out to my house in Livermore to clean my dryer vent. He was very courteous, because he called before he arrived at my house. This may not seem important , but I live alone so I appreciated knowing he would be at my door. He immediately knew I had a problem with the efficiency of my dryer , since he saw a kink in the hose. I appreciated being told this so I could follow- up. He moved the dryer and cleaned the back, which had lots of debris. He took the measurements and got to work. He cleaned up after cleaning the vent and returned the dryer to its original spot. He replaced the vent as it was old. He discovered I had a problem with spacing. So he gave suggestions. Had a problem with my air conditioning system, and asked Cyclone Air Systems to check it out. Instead of just emailing or texting me, Mario called to see what was the problem and set up an appointment. Luis came out the next business day and looked over the system and reset the furnace which fixed the problem with the air conditioner. He knew exactly what he was doing and seemed very familiar with my 25-year old Carrier system. Checked the Freon and said it was fine. And then he - wait for it - didn't do or make me pay for anything else! So, it was just the $49 for the visit. I'm sure a lot of companies are knowledgeable about HVAC systems, but how many of them are honest and can be trusted? The service fee to check it out was $49.99. Best price I found around. They had an opening for Saturday but I had to volunteer at the church all day so they offered to come Sunday morning at no extra emergency charge. The technician was very knowledgeable and let me know it was low on free on. I asked his advice if he thought the unit was too small for a 1,700 sq ft house since I had done an addition in the past few years and never did upgrade the AC and he did agree but did not try to upsell me.
