Came in on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Were greeted right away and seated in a booth. This location has been opened not too long, was my first time visiting this. It seems a bit more upscale compared to other cyclones, not saying fancy, but just a cleaner aesthetic. The bar area faces Westheimer and has some cool over head lighting, would be a great spot to sit at a bar. Plenty of free parking. Our waiter, Milton, was great. He had our food in his hands before they even hit the shelves in the kitchen (you can see the kitchen as they have it glassed off from the tables). He was quick and efficient throughout our whole visit. Food: Chilaquiles- not recommended. One of my favorite breakfast foods so was curious to try it. They chips were the second they hit our table (understand if they were in the sauce a while but they weren't). Also the salsa just wasn't for me, it was okay but I've had better. You do get a lot but just not worth it. Nachos- Chicken nachos always hit the spot at Cyclone. Half portion is still a good side and they are individually presented (not just a mound of nachos). Fajitas- Combo, Medium size. They don't lie, the medium size is barely shareable for two people. The meat was good and well seasoned. My family and I visited Cyclone Anaya's on Westheimer, and it quickly became our new favorite Tex-Mex restaurant. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the service was outstanding. This place has some awesome food. They have a large variety of foods for all. I especially love their steak and chicken fajitas that come with fresh tortillas. They're juicy and tender. All their food is fresh and tasty. The service here is good and attentive. It's always calm and pretty quiet, perfect for a weekend dinner. I highly recommend! read more

This place has the worst service imaginable. Took 40 minutes to get a water or a drink order two different occasions. The place is empty with 6-7 staff sitting around talking at a table while no orders have been taken nor a home at the bar served. Have complained, managers don't care. Came here close to 9:00 p.m. on a Friday night - not busy at all - we had a party of 8. We ordered small "El Don" margaritas - shame on me for not noticing they were $18 apiece - I'll never do that again - it was mostly ice and utterly average. The waitress tried to take away my sister-in-law's margarita when it clearly had 1/3 left in the glass - my sister-in-law politely said no. I then ordered a draft beer and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally, I walked up to the bar, where our waitress was standing talking to another employee, and my beer was next to her - I said, "is this mine" - "oh yes!" - "okay then, can I take it?" - "oh yes!" This was our first time trying this particular location and we loved it! It feels like a very modern twist on the cyclones we have all grown to love! Everyone in our party really enjoyed their meals. I had cheese enchiladas and they were so good! Staff was friendly and a manager stopped by our table to check in on us. My only complaint is that I ordered fries for my daughter and never got them. I almost cried when I saw the Woodway location close after being a loyal patron for many years, but I ate at the new location on Westheimer last night, and I swear it's better than it's ever been. The space is beautiful, and the expanded menu is fantastic. Everything from service to food to drinks was the best of the best (and we had both gluten free and vegan with us, and all were easily accommodated and very happy). Everyone at the table agreed it's probably the best Mexican restaurant in town, and that's a tall order in Houston! There isn't even one negative thing I can think to say. I used to go to the cyclones in memorial city every Friday for like 2 years straight. The drinks have always been delicious, (all flavors of margs), food was always delicious and vibes always showed up along with the service. We ran into this location yesterday and Sully came through with all of the above. Felt like I never left the memorial location. We were very quickly and courteously presented with a beautiful Anaya's Salad - my favorite! With mango slivers, jicama , red onion and pepitas - yum!! The cilantro line dressing is divine & both my husband & I topped our salads with the reliably fresh and delicious grilled salmon. Came in on a Sunday and sat at the bar. Tiffany was AMAZING! Great service, super nice and very personable. They had the windows at the bar open. I asked the manager to close them because it was 106° outside and he said "no, the owner wants them open". I immediately closed my check and left.
