It's not always easy to feel comfortable with a new vet when you've built a trusting relationship with someone you know and love. After two visits with Dr. Al Gateny, though, I'm happy to say that my concerns have eased. He has been kind, attentive, and genuinely caring toward my pet, and I really appreciate the time and attention he has given us. I know it will take some time to build the same level of trust and comfort I had before, but so far, I'm very pleased with his care. Five stars for now, and I'm hopeful this new relationship will continue to impress!

They explained what they were seeing, answered my questions, and provided helpful information without making the visit feel unnecessarily complicated. The staff was professional and the overall process was fairly smooth. You can definitely tell it is a veterinary clinic as soon as you walk in because there is that very distinct vet smell, but that is pretty normal for a pet hospital. What I liked most was that the visit felt practical and informative. They focused on my dog's needs, explained the situation clearly, and gave me information I could actually use. It was not an overly fancy experience, but I felt that my dog was in capable hands. Overall, I would consider coming back here for future veterinary needs. Decent vet, informative service, and a straightforward experience.

I brought my dog Ollie in for a cherry eye issue, and from the moment we arrived, Dr. Stanton was incredibly kind, patient, and thorough. He took the time to explain exactly what was going on, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable with every step of the process. You can immediately tell that he genuinely cares about the well-being of the animals and the families who love them. One thing I especially appreciated was how transparent he is about costs. He clearly explained the pricing upfront so there were no surprises, which I think every pet owner can appreciate. His pricing is very fair and reasonable, and the level of care he provides is outstanding. Ollie is doing great, and I'm so thankful for the thoughtful care he received. Experiences like this make such a difference when you're trusting someone with a beloved pet. I have two dogs--a 14-pound Chihuahua/King Charles mix and an 11-year-old Black Lab/German Shepherd--and after this experience, I wouldn't take them anywhere else. It means so much to have a veterinarian you can truly trust with your animals. If you are looking for a compassionate, honest, and skilled veterinarian in the San Carlos area, I highly recommend Dr. Stanton Veterinary. Thank you again, Dr. Stanton, for taking such great care of Ollie.

When I contacted Restful Paws, I didn't know what to expect. In fact, I felt bad crying on the phone because I couldn't imagine trying to talk to someone like me at that moment. But the staff couldn't be more understanding and supportive. Unlike making end of life decisions for your fur baby, the process of scheduling this appointment was very easy. Restful Paws asked all the right questions, set the expectations, and made this process that much easier. And on the day of, Dr. Ami arrived promptly at the scheduled time. She was very caring and understanding, and she put all of us at ease. We could not have asked for a better last day for our Sodapop. I'm thankful that we reached out to restful pause, and grateful that they were able to come to our house to help us get through this phase. Weeks later, we received a card from Dr. Ami sending us her condolences. Thank you, Restful Paws, for doing the service that you do. I'm sure it's not easy, and I can only imagine how sad it is to do this on a daily basis. Thank you so much!
