I was recommended to come here by my dentist. My daughter needed dental under sedation because of her behavior so he referred us here to be seen at the hospital. Dr Ying did the initial check up for her and then we saw Dr Chen at the hospital a few months later. Everything went well and all her teeth were fixed the same day. The surgery did not take long but obviously there is always a wait at the hospital. I appreciate the expertise provided by Dr Chen in helping fix her smile. The atmosphere in the office felt tense, and the dentist's tone toward both staff and young patients was harsh and intimidating. Watching staff and children be spoken to in such a way was honestly upsetting. A dental office--especially one that sees kids--should feel calm, patient, and supportive. Instead, the environment felt stressful and unpleasant. Going to the dentist can already be scary for children, and the way situations were handled during my visit only seemed to make things worse. Respect and professionalism should be the standard in any healthcare setting. Unfortunately, that was not the experience I had here. During the vist, I witnessed behavior from Dr. Peter Chen towards his staff that found extremely discourteous and unprofessional. The tone and manner he used were completely unacceptable, and it created a environment I do not feel comfortable bringing my child back to! Based on this experience, I will not be returning to this office. I expect any healthcare professional to treat both patients and employees with respect, and this visit fell far below that standard!! My kids have been coming for over 10 years. The office feels warm and kid friendly. You will see many of the prizes they have given away over the years on there walls to their patients like Xbox, wii, iPad and laptops. It's nice to see an office that gives back to the community. Staff did not informed about the fall until I was outside the building with my child. My toddler hit his head and back. I'll be switching to a dental facility where parents are welcomed to stay with their children and won't hide important information like this. read more

We took my 14 months old son here for his first ever dental check up and cleaning & we were very pleased with our visit! Their dental office is decked out with games & toys when you first walk-in, definitely will keep the children , or even the adults well entertained while waiting! Thankfully for us we didn't have to wait long because they were very quick to take us in after arriving for our appointment. The dental assistant who helped us out, who was actually one of the main reason why we were very satisfied with our visit, was very welcoming, friendly, and informative. Regretfully I didn't take her name but she had brunette wavy hair and was wearing glasses :) The dentist was also very nice but I also forgot to ask for his name! Both doctor Chen and Kathy are professional and care when they do treatments for my kids. Staffs are very friendly, nice and helpful. Anytime I need urgent walk in appointments, staffs always try their best to take kids in soon as possible. My son actually won a raffle once and he loved having his own iPad :). I don't do this often, please read and always get a second opinion I have taken both of my kids to Anaheim Pediatric Dentistry since they were about 2 years old. I liked them a lot. In the beginning of June, my daughter had her check up, and they said she had 3 cavities and a fourth that needed a cap. When I asked their policy on parents being in the room they said " it's ok, if you aren't comfortable with leaving her we won't treat her." I left upset with a lil anxiety knowing my baby was going to have to go through that experience. Also like I failed her.... we are super strict about sugar, and drinks. Brush and floss 2x a day. And still 4 cavities!!! Today, I took her to @DreamDentalplace for a second opinion. Booooyyyyy am I glad I did that!!!! The doctor was upset and had goose bumps, with the news he was gonna give me. My daughter has zero, ZERO cavities!!!!! He said her "teeth are in mint condition!!!!!" Like what is wrong with the dental industry! Why would anyone want to put a child through such a thing when there was no need for anything to be done to her teeth!!!????? I was so happy with our visit today. The front office staff was courteous, and after filling out the new patient paperwork we had a wait of just a few minutes before my daughter was called into the back. I noticed that many of the positive reviews on this site mention the entertainment for the children, and if that's a priority, you'll definitely find that here. My older children sat in the lobby and played video games while my daughter was being seen. But I think we can all agree that it's mainly about the doctor, and I couldn't have been happier with Dr. Ying. She was patient, answered all my questions, took her time with my daughter, answered her questions, and even though we'd been referred to her for cavity work she recommended waiting, because these were baby teeth, and might fall out soon. In other words, she didn't try to push any treatments on us, and didn't even try to convince us to switch to her office; in fact, she offered to email the x-rays to me if I would just give her my email address. On the way home I asked my daughter if she'd like to switch to Dr. Ying as her regular dentist, and she didn't even hesitate before saying, "Yes!" read more

Did not like this dentist whatsoever. Front office was good but the back was horrible. Took my daughter and when the dentist was checking her teeth and she cried he grabbed her head and moved her in such a bad way. He right away said she needed to be put to sleep didn't give any options or anything, the staff didn't seem to really have care for her they didn't try anything other than wanting to send her to hospital for sedation. Hell no. I went somewhere else and they were able to help with NO IV sedation. Would not go back to this place. read more

My son has been coming here for about 2 years. I have never had a problem and my son has never had any cavities so it's in and out always a pleasant visit. Until today... Dr. recommended sealant on my sons 2 adult teeth that were surfacing. I agreed. The dental assistant was condescending and rude. Asked me to initial and sign papers for laughing gas and a restraining jacket. My son is calm and I mean calm there was no need for any of the two. The assistant said he would need the jacket and I told her absolutely NOT! She then said I could not be with my son during the "simple" procedure. I asked her to ask the Dr. and she said no that is their policy and if I was not okay with it it's an elective procedure and my son could just develop cavities because I didn't want the sealant. My son heard me and said mommy I could do it. So I said no to the restraint agreed to stand outside of the door but was told the procedure could not be done without laughing gas. I AM BEYOND FURIOUS THAT I WAS LIED TOO. A different assistant called to follow up with my son later this evening. I explained the situation to her and she said the information given to me earlier was incorrect and next time I should ask to speak to another assistant and that laughing gas is completely optional and I could opt out. I'm not happy at all about this. This is unacceptable and I am thankful my son has never had cavities because they probably would have tried to pull a fast one then too. The whole office was amazing. They were very thorough with their procedures. Dr. Ying was amazing with my 2.5 yo daughter. This was her second check up. Everyone was very patient with her. I called this office to see if I can schedule an appointment for my daughter as an emergency and the receptionist told me that they were fully booked till December ! how sad what kind of office does not have an open appointment for emergencies in three month !!!! This place is awesome. My daughter went here for her first dentist visit and all the staff and dentists were so nice that she was not traumatized at all. The place has magazines lined up by the window for the parents to read, and all throughout the office there are tvs, games, and video game stations. The kids are entertained while they get their teeth worked on. Most importantly, my daughter had to get some laughing gas because she needed a crown. Dr. Kathy was so attentive and gentle, that my daughter loved the experience. She had a set of headphones for my daughter to wear so that she could listen to the movie playing instead of to the dr. working on her teeth. everytime she has come home from the dentist, she eats much better and never complains about pain or soreness. I really loved this dentist. It's clean and they have video games in the waiting room to entertain the children. In the back it's nicely setup and clean, it is all open in there so the kids will not get scared and parent's can sit there as well with they're children . The staff is really nice, patient, understanding. I love how they have experience and work with children that have disabilities. My son has Autism and he was not cooperating because it was his first time and he was scared, the staff try to make him feel comfortable and talked to him while cleaning his teeth and he started feeling at ease. This is by far the best pediatric dentist office I have visited. I had gotten a 2nd and 3rd opinion and this was my choice. They answered all my questions and concerns. They really put me at ease. It was a really cool experience. They have multiple video game consoles there to keep the kids entertained while they wait. Everyone was really nice and professional. The only thing that was weird was that they have three dental chairs right next to each other, with no divider. So there wasn't a lot of privacy when the dentist told the lady next to me that her two kids had A TON of cavities. But, if your kids' teeth are good to go, then no worries there.
