I've been getting my service there for 6 years now on my 2010 gecko green beetle. Nothing but positive things to say. Had a door panel switch fixed, bought 2 sets of tires from them, and had them do my belts and water pump over the years. Every time the service quotes were up front and very fair. Andy, the owner and his wife make the place feel more like a family service shop and always have made me feel like I can trust them. On the water pump job, a day later I had a leak on one of my hoses due to dry rot (not their fault at all). Brought it right back, Andy took one look at it and said he was sorry and hates to see cars come back to the shop for a second round. They fit me right in that day to fix the hose and make it right on the spot. Only charged for the hose and no labor. If that's not good customer service I don't know what is. Just bought a certified 2014 golf TDI to add to the stable. Asked on if they do full service on TDI's, and they do. This type of service from a independent shop is hard to find given the complexity of VW direct injection diesels to work on. Most shops will turn you away, but not this one. Instead of going to the local clown shop (aka Vernon stealership I bought the car from), I will have them do work on this car in the future. If you have a VW or Audi product this shop is worth checking out. read more

I usually only review places if I have a bad experience but I felt the need to share. The service was absolutely wonderful, and the front desk woman was a doll. Very honest mechanics, you can tell they don't do this for the money. I will definitely be taking my car back when it needs a fix, I recommend this to anyone. I had been putting off having the heat shields under my car secured, despite the constant metal rattling noise, for a few months. I knew it was a simple job, but as a woman, I expect to be taken advantage of by mechanics who try to up-sell me on parts, or claim the job is more involved than I can understand. So it was such a welcome surprise to bring my car to D & D for an oil change and ask them to take a look. They re-secured the shields and showed me the parts list for the replacement hooks, and did the work in a reasonable amount of time for a more-than-reasonable parts and labor charge. Excellent customer service and great repair work. They are very knowledgable and helpful, while also being friendly and down-to-earth. Also, my car is a NON-Volkswagon, but they do a great job. Best part is that they always do a basic check-up, even when you just come in for an oil change. They identified a number of bulbs that were out and fixed them at no charge. TLDR: came in for simple repairs, got charged up the ass for nothing, and literally gave me my car back in a condition Went in for some simple repairs, got charged $70 for an oil change and a diagnostic (something that would have cost less than 30 dollars at any other usual store). After I went to pick up my car the next day (they said they needed to get parts, but assured me that it was safe to drive. I picked up the car, noticing that not only had they left my window open, the door was unlocked. Next, I turned on the car only to find the emergency break wasn't on so I had to slam on my break in order to avoid a collision with the car behind me (surely owned by some poor soul that's being scammed by this company as well). None of the work that they said they had done was done, there was some very obvious electrical problems with the driver door. I turned on the car and went to a main road, only to find that after one mile of driving my accelerator became stuck and I almost caused a 3-4 car collision in my attempt to get break, get off the road and turn my emergency lights on. I will not be using this company, and no one else should if they don't want to get screwed by a bunch of unprofessional arseholes. read more

I give these guys two enthusiastic thumbs up! I'm not from the area, and I drive an early 90s foreign truck that needed some attention (ended up being the distributor). Although they are primarily a VW shop, they seem to service a variety of makes. I figured if they had the patience to work on old VWs, they could handle my pickup. Everyone around recommended them, and they got good reviews on the Car Talk webpage, so I entrusted my life-long friend and travel companion (my truck) with them. They were direct with me about what they did and why, and I found their pricing reasonable. They answered all of my questions and even popped the hood and showed me what they did when I asked them to. I wish everyone on a roadtrip had this kind of luck when they need auto assistance!
