The grits were good but the eggs were cold about average food nothing special but friendly service

They have been great during the Pandemic. The curbside pickup is easy and has been great. They do a lot of home cooked type of meals. My husband loves their pork souvlaki pita. He loves it so much he'll order days in a row. The food is always very warm and the people working are always very helpful and friendly. I have been going here for 2 yrs and for the past 4 months we go every other weekend. Today we asked for our eggs to be cooked and not be slimy the waiter come by the table once. I should not have to get up and asked for anything or to complain about the food. The toast seemed to have been dunked in butter it was dripping wet with butter, the eggs are slimy and taste awful, my son's pancake was not cooked all the way three or was the eggs, my daughter's French toast still had uncooked eggs on the bottom so they where 2 plates of food that was not eaten. Went up to pay and the lady didn't want to hear my side of the issue, so I asked to speak to the manager or the owner and she told me the was not in. I will go higher now since the lady didn't want to help or understand the problem and bill was $62 and only half was eaten. She said I should have let her know. I do not believe in sending food back to be redone so they can spit or do something else to our food. I will be contacting BBB and the Health Department for the food being served uncooked I have photos to prove my case. Not many places are as good as D'Anna's Kitchen. They cook my order just the way I like it. All the servers know your name. They take the time to make sure you get what you want. The food itself was lackluster to fine at best. The problem is in quality control. When I first walked in I noticed there was no sign requesting people to wear a mask or social distance. Upon entering not a single person, aside from one server was wearing a mask, I took my to go order and went home. When I opened the food, one sandwich was not wrapped and just haphazard thrown into the bag, and multiple items were missing from the order. Oh my good Lord! This is the epitome of classic home cooking. Their breakfasts are worth driving miles, and their lunches, heavenly. I recently had their country-fried steak, gravy and grits and I thought if that was my last meal, I would have died a really happy camper. I only eat like this when on the road, or my cholesterol would be out of this world, but when I do, and it's here, it's so totally worth it. Service is fast, friendly and perfect. I drive 45 minutes to get to this place for brunch with some friends. My friends had just been seated when I arrived and the waitress was leaving the table with their drink orders. She literally stopped me en route to ask what I wanted to drink. I have literally never had that happen before. I mean, can I greet my party and look at a menu first? Apparently, no-- not here. We ordered breakfast foods which were prepared well. I have no complaints about the food. Our server was attentive but she was also literally trying to clear our plates before we were done enjoying our food. We were there under an hour when she came by and told us her manager had instructed her to tell us we had to give up our table because there was a line forming around the building. They were a bit busy, as is every breakfast place on Sunday, but that really was an extreme exaggeration and certainly no excuse ask patrons to leave the minute they put down their forks. read more

We went there for breakfast this morning. NO social distancing at all!! All tables and booths were filled. There was 1 server and the cashier that were wearing a mask. We have eaten meals here at least 40 times including breakfast and lunch. It is very good every single time. The owner and the wait staff are always so pleasant and fast. They have daily specials that are always delicious. My favorite for lunch is a vegetable plate because they have the best squash I have ever eaten. You don't really associate seafood with this type of restaurant but try the flounder. It is fantastic. Breakfast menu is standard but well prepared. Pancakes are great but very sweet and almost cake-like. Glad to have this gem in a rural area. read more
