My girlfriend ordered a meatball sub; she said the meatballs were a bit overcooked and dry. I got the steak sub, and it was pretty tasty, overall. The highlight was the mac and cheese we got as a side. It was terrific. We had friendly, prompt service, and the atmosphere was just fine. The value was also more than acceptable. D'atri's has been my favorite stop in western Maryland since I was a little girl. When I go there, even though it's changed quite a bit in appearance, the food is just the same. The house special - pizza sauce and cheese on one of their amazingly delicious pepperoni rolls - is one of my favorites. But, it's usually too difficult to resist the steak sub. My word! It's so, so good. Excellent, soft roll, and the steak is topped with a lightly dressed salad (don't mistake salad for healthy, though). You have to eat it with a knife and fork. Be sure to ask for sweet peppers on your sub. And, wash it down with a vanilla Coke. Not a bottled vanilla Coke - Coke with vanilla syrup and served with a spoon. I love D'atris! We were in last night for dinner. We ordered two salads, and a house special (pepperoni roll. The waitress brought out our meal one ordered ranch and the other was blue cheese dressing. She brought out a blue cheese and a thousand island. She took the dressing from our table and sat it at the next table that ordered thousand island. She returned with bleu cheese only to find out she had brought out a bleu cheese and not a ranch. On one of the salads we ordered the buffalo chicken salad and the chicken was ice cold. When this was addressed she shrugged it off and went about her business. The house special was burnt to a crisp and once again she did nothing about it: the worse experience ever here. Unusually long time ( 30-35 mins) getting our meal delivered after placing order Then sit and watch a couple different families come in - sit down order and watch them get their meals before you do. Sad thing is this has played put several different times in the past year. Don't know what has changed here but it used to not be this way. Very hard to support a local buisness like this. I ordered a take out dinner of spaghetti and meatballs with meat sauce that came with a salad last night and was charged $20.70 for it. I just called D'atri's and was quoted 14.99 for the same meal. Their menu shows a price of $10.70 for their large spaghetti and meatballs dinner. I have been going to this restaurant since the 80's and was quite shocked by the price differences. The food has always been good but not for 5 star prices that I paid. They need to follow the menu prices and train the employees better so they have their stories straight. This place has GREAT food! Try the cheesesteak sub with seasoned lettuce. The flavor is amazing, however I typically have to get the mayo on the side as they really glob it on. The bread for the subs is baked in house which helps give it that extra touch. The salads are also pretty good if you are looking to cut out the carbs (and mayo) a little bit. The service is typically really good and personable. The atmosphere is also very good. The restaurant is very clean and family friendly. We haven't been here in two years, and now I remember why. The most ignorant staff I have EVER encountered. Two hosts more concerned with their phones and giving major attitude to people coming in the doors, one actually HUFFED when she had to walk around the corner to see if there was any seating. Once finally seated, our server walked past our table THREE TIMES, without acknowledging we even existed. Ten minutes later, we decide to leave, and boom! Server has arrived. Food came quickly. Incorrect, and disgusting, but quick. We don't see the server again until we've been waiting to leave for an extended period. Hope you don't expect refills or to have anything fixed if it is incorrect. We will NOT be back and hope to god the owners actually pay attention to the idiots they are hiring. read more

I have been to D'Atri's two times and both times I have had the same problem, slow and bad service. While the food here is okay, nothing special, although it was something I was happy with. Not sure about everyone else taste buds but me and my mother were not as impressed as all the other reviews. I`m not gonna list all the items that were not up to our standards. It was very busy and crowded. Maybe everyone else thinks this is good food. Not authentic at all. I ordered the Rigatoni with tomato sauce and mom had the same with meatballs. A 4.00 dollar upgrade for 2 meatballs. First to get to our table was the salads and the bread. The bread was warm upon arrival which was nice but after sitting a few minutes the outside became like a rock. I mixed my salad and had a smile on my face. That did not last long. Salad dressing was watered down and bland. Only the center of the bread was eatable. Waitress came by and said hows everything? I did not hold my tongue. Told her what I thought to which she replied I will bring you more bread..She told me she microwaved it so it will be nice. OH NO Bread and microwaves never turn out good. I was recommended here by lots of people and they all recommended the subs. Being health conscience at the moment I got the black and bleu steak salad and it was one of the worst salads I have ever bought. The lettuce and veggies were fresh but the steak and sautéed onions and mushrooms were terrible. They were over seasoned with whatever seasoning they used and ruined the entire salad. D'Atri's is one of my favorite resturants, but it is time for them to get it together. I have previously given them good ratings, but it is time for them to learn how to deals with food allergies. It is as if they have never heard of someone having food allergies. This is a life threatening condition and they act like it is my problem and there is nothing they can do to accommodate me. Every time I have been there, different waiters each time, it's always as if they are saying what are they supposed to do about it. It time for them to get policies in place to deal with food allergies. I hate to give somewhere I love so much a bad review, but this is a serious issue. read more
