This place has good food. I highly recommend the meat loaf lunch special when they have it one Monday a month. The one thing I would like to point out is that every time I order food for to-go or pick-up my order is always wrong. The "hot" steak and cheese was cold. The role felt like it just came out of the fridge and the cheese wasn't even melted. Visiting the area and went to D'Atri's for breakfast on Sat. morning. I had a pancake and added fruit for $1.00. That pancake had as many blueberries as could possibly be added to one pancake. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! My friend ordered an omelet with a biscuit and I feel like the biscuit was as big as the saucer it came on. I would definitely go there again. We stopped in here on our adventure on the National Road based on the reviews of Yelpers and are quite thankful for it! We stopped in for lunch and found an inviting experience, the staff was so friendly and hospitable. The food options were also perfect. We split the chicken parmesean and side salads. The homemade Italian salad dressing was incredible and the chicken was perfect. The pasta could've been a little better, but it was still pretty good! The only trouble we had was that they air conditioned to the hilt... a little more than was probably necessary. But the food, the important stuff, was delicious! read more

Was very impressed with the selection of homemade soups. There were at least 7 to choose from. This chili was delicious, as was my sister's chicken gnocchi. Service was excellent and very friendly. The establishment honored our "free beverage" coupon from Yelp. I'm mostly only rating 3 stars based on my take of their extremely "hyped-up" cheesesteak. I was not impressed at all. First time here. I am from out of town, currently here on business. Basically searching the area for a place to eat lunch. Very lucky to have found a Dimond in the rough. This place is positioned in the middle of all these fast food joints, that it is hard to see. Place was packed. Thought it would be a while to get a seat. It wasn't. The service was great. Been eating at diatris for years. Steak and cheese is to die for. My only complaint is how they mix the seasoned lettuce. I love it but lately it's been way too much salt. One time I found large chunks of salt in the lettuce. I think the cooks are adding the salt all at once to the lettuce instead of mixing in small amounts. Stopped here on the way home from Deep Creek on a recommendation...WOW! I read the reviews and ordered the cheesesteak accordingly (with mayo instead of miracle whip...yuck). My BF got an italian hoagie. The seasoned lettuce....yum, I could have eaten a plate of that. The meat was excellent and the bread was wonderful. I believe the bread is fresh baked. I ordered a small and had to ditch the bread on the second half of the sandwich or risk not finishing. Oh and my bf enjoyed his sandwich just as much. For Cumberland, this place is fantastic. It's good food and they have a large menu. I would suggest the chicken parmesan or the philly cheese steak; both are regulars for me. The subs are enormous and filled with so much meat you look like you're chewing on a mangled animal carcass. They also have great pies and pastries for dessert. This place gets SO busy on Friday and Saturday nights so expect a wait if you go during a weekend. I recommend you give it a try! read more

I ordered a crab cake sandwich (on rye bread) and my wife ordered a "salmon-cake" sandwich. The "cake" part of each sandwich was piping hot but dry (made me think it was microwaved). The taste of each cake was quite nice, actually, but, again, very dry. The buns that the crab/salmon cakes were served on were also dry and stale. We were served a side of tartar sauce in a little container in which I had to peel back the lid; it kind of cheapened the experience to feel like you're being tossed the equivalent of a ketchup packet (I don't think it would be difficult, time-consuming, or expensive to mix up a fresh homemade tartar sauce). We were given a side of regular potato chips with the sandwich, but the chips were also kind of bland and stale. I think french fries might have complimented the sandwich much more nicely. The waitress was kind and efficient. The food came out reasonably fast considering we were there at a busy lunch hour. The decor reminded me more of a Cracker Barrel than an Italian sub shop; this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but kind of odd--not what I was expecting. I will give D'atri's another chance, but I will take the advice of other Yelpers and order a sub (Italian or cheesesteak). I hope D'atri's wins me over because I'm new to the area and I've been on the lookout for a good local sub/sandwich spot that isn't part of a large chain. read more

I used to live in the area but moved away several years ago. Cumberland has some of the best little local establishments anywhere and this is one of them. Datri's is one of a kind, I highly recommend it. Awesome food, big portions and the prices are pretty great too. I miss it so much that I now use their shipping service to order and ship subs to me and I always make a point to stop for dinner or lunch when in the area or passing through. Excellent family restaurant famous for their cheese steak sub with their own seasoned lettuce. If you are from this area, this is the best cheese steak sub around. When I have visitors I always treat them to D'Atris. I also love their traditional Italian food, especially the lasagna that I can get two meals from! They also make homemade soups and sell local homage bread products. Like I said the seasoned lettuce and steak sub are the reason I visit D'Atris and I've never had horrible service. It can get busy at times and have a bit of a wait at times but I'm telling you, It's worth the wait!!! read more

We stopped at zDatti's regularly when we come back to Cumberland. We got five Cheese Steak Subs to go which we all thought had deteriorated in quality. Tried Datri's again for dinner by getting some pasta dishes to bring home to eat which was some of the worst pasta I've ever had. We tried this restaurant because of a suggestion from a friend. We were there on a Thursday around noon. The restaurant was pretty busy but we were quickly seated in the upstairs. Waitress was quick and polite. I ordered the meatball hoagie because of other yelp reviews. It was just ok. The meatballs looked homemade but tasted like frozen store bought. Wife had the turkey hoagie. It was better than the meatball but still just ok. My son had a grilled cheese (4 year olds opinion) it was the greatest ever. My daughter had the cheeseburger. It was better than McDonalds but not as good as five guys. read more

As a frequent customer I must say the place has disappointed me with their service. We frequently call in an order to pick up and take home. Yesterday we did so and at arrival the staff said they didn't have my order, the proceeded to make it then, 20 minutes later the food was put on the "hot area" for the ladies to bag it and hand it to me. Another 5 minutes passed while the 3 girls took other customers money for checkout and answered phone calls for new orders. Finally getting my food 1/2 hour later. They seem to be much more chaotic with the take out area lately. Also much more expensive at nearly $19 for 2 small steak salads. I'm disappointed. read more
