Great little hidden spot in Boca. I visited this place after a recommendation from my sister. It's probably one of the best sandwiches I've had. I got the grilled Italian, which is lunch meats grilled on bread. I forgot the name but it was great. Ingredients tasted super fresh and the side of split pea soup tasted super home made. The place is really a no frills place. They have really basic chairs and tables if you want to eat there. Not a bad thing, it's just not fine dining. Imagine a Chinese takeout place. I ate outside and a majority of the people are getting the sandwiches as takeout. Love this place will be back to try the other sandwiches. read more

D'Best wasn't D'Best for me on my first try. All my usual spots near my home were closed Monday so I ordered through DoorDash a Chicken parm sandwich from D'Best. I didn't realize how far this place was from my home so I added another $10.00 tip for the driver. The Order was delivered warm and on time but the chicken sandwich was tough to bite and chew. It chewed like it was old or undercooked. I wouldn't recommend the Chicken Parm. The Cheesesteaks look to be the way to go if you're going here. We'll see what the future brings if I order again although likely not due to this food quality experience and being so far from my home for a delivery. I can say that the Cucumber salad was D'Best. Ok I'm obsessed with this place. The sandwiches are 10/10. My favorite is the chicken London. It's even good leftover because I put it in the toaster oven on toast and it's toasts the bread perfectly. My husband loves the chicken parm sandwich. I highly recommend this place. After coming here numerous times I have tried to improve the stars. They have long wait times for subs, so make sure if you are on a lunch break you call in first. The only sub that is worth trying is the Philly. It's good, loaded with a lot of meat and flavor. They make it on the spot where you can see. (Very greasy) I've tried their turkey, which is dry. This time I tried their roast beef sub. I was very disappointed. First by the fact that the roast beef was on the medium well side. That usually isn't the case with roast beef subs. I usually ask but my husband went in to get it. The meat was very "wet" as if it was sitting in juice" it was wrapped in paper and placed on the sub so it wasn't prior to putting it on. As part of my sub, I asked for oil and vinegar. As the sub was being made the staff placed an "oil with seasonings" on the sandwich. I'm very sensitive to seasonings of such and had to ask why that went on. "Herbs" were a topping and we didn't as for that. They had to make the sandwich over. Once we got home, the roast beef was lacking in meat, the amount for the price was very bleak and tomatoes were still yellowish. I wish this were a place to eat there but there are only a few seats because this would have gone back. Only positive was the Philly was good! Yummy yummy! When it comes to sandwiches, I'm a very basic girl. Turkey, lettuce & extra mayo. I LOVE the fact that they use fresh roasted turkey as opposed to deli meat. With that being said, it was a smidge dry for my liking. Even the mayo was having a hard time compensating for the lack of moisture in the turkey. HOWEVER, my boyfriend's sandwich was awesome. Today, pictured, I got D'Bomb, which is their fresh and real hand pulled turkey with roast beef, homemade Cole slaw, Russian dressing and Swiss. I also love getting a grilled Italian, so delicious when the capicola crisps up like bacon. D'Mizner wrap (turkey Caesar, but on a sub roll for me) and the cheesesteaks are other staples. My brother has been here a few times. He has raved about it for along time, today is my turn. I went to my brothers house in Hollywood and he suggested we go..I'm game let's go...well I was not disappointed! My brother ordered XL "D 'Sampler" half is roast beef, swiss cheese, turkey and 1000 Island dressing the other half is "D' Pilgrim. I ordered " D' Pilgrim" Turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. Since I've had the opportunity the have the best pastrami sandwich ever (Katz deli in New York) others can't compare. But this "untraditional" pastrami was wonderful. I had the chicken salad large with onions and lettuce, nothing more. I got the wheat bread which was underwhelming, next time I'll do the white bread. A place like V&S around the corner uses some amazing bread, quite frankly you can't make a bad sandwich on that bread. So that leaves the fillings to be the star, and in the case of the Chicken Salad IT DELIVERS. I dont give many 5 stars, and I am going to go back to try the Pastrami Rachel, because thats one of my favorites, just wasn't craving it once I saw the chicken salad ingredients. For years I have heard nothing but good things about this place but for whatever reason I never gave them a chance. Shame on me because they make a terrific sub. The fresh bread is soft and carb worthy. So delicious! My roast beef was really good. I loved my sandwich, I really loved it. And they have those sweet peppers that work so well on a roast beef sub. I was really so happy with my sub, it was seriously delicious. The combo came with a choice of sides and a can of soda. I haven't tried it yet but I ordered the potato salad. I was surprised the portion was so large! No complaints about the generous portion just so happy with my lunch, that's all. This place is D'Average. I have both ordered take-out and dined in at this establishment to find relatively unremarkable sandwiches. It's a stand alone hole-in-the wall oozing with FL charm - appropriately grungy inside. The differentiator of making hot sandwiches is a nice touch, but execution is middling with strong corner-store bodega vibes at near restaurant prices (value isn't there). The chicken my way sandwich with carmelized onion, grilled chicken, provelone, lettuce, and mayo was mostly bread and mayo. My fiancée's "D'a bomb" was reminiscent of something we could slap together in our kitchen at home easily: store-bought bread, run of the mill cold cuts, and store-bought condiments. Drink and chip selection are unremarkable but good - I love Zapp's voodoo. With this said, nothing we've had has been bad. It's just d'okay at best. The bread had a commercial taste that was off putting, however the two sandwiches that we tried were pretty good. A chicken sandwich was okay but the chicken was not as tender as I would have liked it but the signature Turkey Pilgram Hero was fine. I've been going to this Hole in the Wall old school sandwich shop for a while ever since I discovered it by accident returning a car to Avis. D'Best looks like it has come directly from Brooklyn or NJ or Philly. Total Grungy look but the Sandwiches are D'Excellence. The Pilgrim is delicious - fresh cut turkey slow roasted and then grilled. Very tasty. The Cheesesteaks are also excellent as well as their Roast Beef. The sandwich makers are all very friendly and nice. Only downside is they got this kid at the Cash Register who seems to Hate People and customers. Every time I leave a nice tip the guy can't even grunt a Thank U let a lone a smile. Kid needs some customer service skills training. I will continue giving my families sandwich business to D'Best in spite of the rude kid as they do a great job with high quality sandwiches at a reasonable price. read more

They have a sandwich with Turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. I had the grilled godfather (an Italian made hot off the grill) and it was fantastic. Good hoagie roll. Great meat. Good ratio and honestly good price considering what I've seen people charge for a sandwich around here. They were *really* busy. Seems like online orders have taken over the place. Can't fault them for it, but calling ahead or ordering online is wise. There isn't much room to sit, a few tables inside and out, so be prepared to dash once you've got your food. When we got inside, we had some time to review the menu on the wall and it was a tough choice - so many great sandwiches, with a choice of 4 sizes and breads, hoagie rolls and various wraps. We finally decided on an 8" cheese steak - Lincoln Tunnel style, and a chicken salad on tomato basil wrap. Very impressed with the customer service - the young man who took our order went out of his way to make it exactly as we wanted it.
