D'Best wasn't D'Best for me on my first try. All my usual spots near my home were closed Monday so I ordered through DoorDash a Chicken parm sandwich from D'Best. I didn't realize how far this place was from my home so I added another $10.00 tip for the driver. The Order was delivered warm and on time but the chicken sandwich was tough to bite and chew. It chewed like it was old or undercooked. I wouldn't recommend the Chicken Parm. The Cheesesteaks look to be the way to go if you're going here. We'll see what the future brings if I order again although likely not due to this food quality experience and being so far from my home for a delivery. I can say that the Cucumber salad was D'Best. Fresh. Refreshing- just perfect.

Ok I'm obsessed with this place. The sandwiches are 10/10. My favorite is the chicken London. It's even good leftover because I put it in the toaster oven on toast and it's toasts the bread perfectly. My husband loves the chicken parm sandwich. I highly recommend this place. They also have a super cute patio so you can eat outside in the shade.

Omg! One of the best sub sandwich's I have ever had. Will definitely be back to try other selections.

Small Philly Style Cheesesteak good amount of meat... only thing worth eating here

After coming here numerous times I have tried to improve the stars. They have long wait times for subs, so make sure if you are on a lunch break you call in first. The only sub that is worth trying is the Philly. It's good, loaded with a lot of meat and flavor. They make it on the spot where you can see. (Very greasy) I've tried their turkey, which is dry. This time I tried their roast beef sub. I was very disappointed. First by the fact that the roast beef was on the medium well side. That usually isn't the case with roast beef subs. I usually ask but my husband went in to get it. The meat was very "wet" as if it was sitting in juice" it was wrapped in paper and placed on the sub so it wasn't prior to putting it on. As part of my sub, I asked for oil and vinegar. As the sub was being made the staff placed an "oil with seasonings" on the sandwich. I'm very sensitive to seasonings of such and had to ask why that went on. "Herbs" were a topping and we didn't as for that. They had to make the sandwich over. Once we got home, the roast beef was lacking in meat, the amount for the price was very bleak and tomatoes were still yellowish. I wish this were a place to eat there but there are only a few seats because this would have gone back. Only positive was the Philly was good! Something good came out of this horrible event.

Yummy yummy! When it comes to sandwiches, I'm a very basic girl. Turkey, lettuce & extra mayo. I LOVE the fact that they use fresh roasted turkey as opposed to deli meat. With that being said, it was a smidge dry for my liking. Even the mayo was having a hard time compensating for the lack of moisture in the turkey. HOWEVER, my boyfriend's sandwich was awesome. It had turkey, roast beef, Swiss, coleslaw & Russian it was perfection! That will definitely be my go to moving forward!

Been eating here for half my life, and it's as good as it's ever. I don't get to go as often as I'd like, so I generally stick to my favorites. Today, pictured, I got D'Bomb, which is their fresh and real hand pulled turkey with roast beef, homemade Cole slaw, Russian dressing and Swiss. I also love getting a grilled Italian, so delicious when the capicola crisps up like bacon. D'Mizner wrap (turkey Caesar, but on a sub roll for me) and the cheesesteaks are other staples. Staff is always friendly, they churn out the subs quickly without sacrificing quality, and even if it looks crowded, you still won't have to wait long. I'm a fan for life.

My brother has been here a few times. He has raved about it for along time, today is my turn. I went to my brothers house in Hollywood and he suggested we go..I'm game let's go...well I was not disappointed! My brother ordered XL "D 'Sampler" half is roast beef, swiss cheese, turkey and 1000 Island dressing the other half is "D' Pilgrim. I ordered " D' Pilgrim" Turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. It's like eating Thanksgiving on a sub! What could be better?! Nothing I say! YUMMY As we walked in we were greeted with a smile and the young lady that made our sandwiches was so very sweet! Everyone one was very professional and they all work great as a team! I will be back!

It transports you to an Italian NY deli. The place is packed, bustling spot and that alone tells you everything you need to know. You know it's good when you walk in and the place is packed. We split the Chicken Cutlet Florentine and it was absolutely incredible. Heads up: the full size is massive, so splitting it is definitely the move and still totally worth it!! The service was super friendly despite how busy it was. I had my eye on the black & white cookie too because what's an authentic Italian deli without one? Sounds like my next visit to Boca includes trying more stuff!

The sandwich itself was good, made with quality ingredients and solid flavor overall. The bread and fillings were fresh, and you can tell they care about what they're serving. One small detail: I wasn't offered any sauce suggestions, and because of that, my sandwich ended up feeling a bit dry. I think a simple recommendation from the staff would've elevated the experience. Still, it was tasty and reasonably priced. The place is small, but it gets the job done -- very much a neighborhood deli vibe. Overall, a good, no-frills sandwich spot worth trying, especially if you're already in the area.

I was driving down Glades Road on a rainy Sunday around 10:45 am. Decided to pull over into this…read moreshopping center to see what was open until the rain let up (which it didn't). Laspada had a lit up sign in the window saying they're "open." I seem to recall Next Door Boca giving them decent reviews. I am a native of Philly, hometown of the hoagie. I thought I'd give this place a try. I ran from my car through the rain and tugged on the door....locked. The door hours say open at 11! So much for the lit "open" sign. They have outdoor metal tables and chairs under an awning. I sat at an outdoor table for ten minutes. I looked through the storefront window at a couple employees prepping and I read the wall menu. A guy unlocked the place at 11. I let a young family and several other guys go ahead of me. Guy at the slicing wheel waited on me. I ordered a small Mama Lastrada turkey & salami on wheat. There's about a half dozen employees behind the counter dealing with the assembly line of customers and sandwiches. Guy at the slicing wheel tells me one of the other guys will work on my sandwich. Okay. However, I can't move down the line because there's customers still lined up ahead of me waiting for their food. Slicing wheel guy looks up at me a minute later and asks what he can get for me. I look back at him waiting for him to recognize me from a minute ago when he already had sliced my order. No recognition! I repeated my order to him. Now he remembers me! He again refers me to one of his junior sandwich prep guys. I overheard him telling a busy junior guy, "This is just a small Mama on wheat" or something like that. Still, I can't go down the line because there's guy ahead of me had placed an order for 3 sandwiches. I swear to you that the slicing wheel guy asks me for a THIRD time for my order! By this time, I felt like I was in a Monty Python sketch. I repeated my order. Again, he refers me to a third junior associate (Manny, Moe, and Jack)? Finally, a young associate asked me for toppings. I had noticed two lettuce bins. One bin looked fine. The other looked a little brown. I decided to skip the lettuce rather than ask him to pick from the left hand bin and embarrass them. I also saw a black speck in the onion bin. It probably was nothing but I decided to skip onions just to be safe. I chose tomatoes, Swiss cheese, pickles and sweet peppers. The debit card reader asks if I want to tip. I skipped that. Price was reasonable. Hoagie was okay. The roll was soggy. Philly hoagie shops pride themselves on their rolls. I understand this is Florida, not Philly. I can appreciate this place is popular and busy. However, being asked for my order 3 times by the same experienced worker there left me feeling less than special as a customer.

FIVE STARS. GAS STATION? YES. GAS STATION? ALSO YES…read more Let's get something straight. Some of the best food on earth comes from places that look like you shouldn't trust them. Gas stations. Side streets. Tiny counters with three tables and a refrigerator humming in the corner. I saw WhatSub on Yelp and thought, "Alright. Let's see if the hype survives State Road 7." It didn't just survive. It flexed. I am fully on board with five-star gas station cuisine. In fact, I seek it out. And WhatSub doesn't just play the game -- it competes internationally. This place comes dangerously close to Sandwich Master in Turin, Italy. I'm not exaggerating. And it narrowly beats out Generoso's in Coral Springs, which is not an easy feat. The bread? Legit. The meats? Layered like someone actually respects the architecture of a sandwich. The balance? No soggy mess. No overkill. No amateur hour. And then the cannoli. Freshly piped. Not pre-filled. Not sitting there getting sad and humid. Fresh. Filled to order. Shell still crisp. Ricotta smooth and balanced -- not overly sweet, not grainy, not lazy. Best cannoli I've had in South Florida since Lorenzo's in North Miami Beach. That's not a casual comparison. That's a statement. Now let's talk atmosphere. It's technically in a gas station plaza -- and yet the owners and staff are actually speaking Italian behind the counter. Not performative. Not touristy. Just normal conversation like you accidentally stepped into a deli in Torino. It feels real. So real that I went back the next day. And then again. I am not joking. When I ask myself, "What was my favorite thing?" the answer is dangerous: Everything I ordered. Cold subs. Hot subs. Cannoli. Repeat. This is the kind of place you almost don't want to write about because once the word spreads, lines get longer and secrets disappear. But credit where credit is due. WhatSub is proof that greatness doesn't need chandeliers. Sometimes it just needs good bread, proper technique, and someone who actually cares.

Came here because I saw it was a new Italian sub shop near my area. Saw good reviews and wanted to…read moretry it myself. Behind the counter was a husband/wife duo who were the business owners (didn't get their names) who stated they were from Sicily. After much deliberation, I decided to order the Arthur Ave and the Milano. The Arthur Ave is a cold sandwich that had prosciutto, arugula, stracciatella, sun dried tomato. You have a choice of bread from white, wheat rolls, and focaccia. I was informed by the husband the focaccia is made fresh daily by his wife so of course I had to try that. The wife was nice enough to let me try a sample of the prosciutto and I have to say -- it was delicious, so getting it on a sandwich was going to be a no-brainer. The Milano was for my father. Watching them make the sandwich, they put two huge pieces of chicken cutlet, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and freshly sliced mozzarella. Again, I got the focaccia bread. Both sandwich's were drizzled on the top of the focaccia bread with fresh Italian olive oil which was just the cherry on top. I had told the owners it was my first time and we had a great conversation, that they were nice enough to give me and my parents 3 free mini cannolis -- which was completely unexpected and highly appreciated! As far as the food goes, I don't have enough adjectives in my vocabulary to describe how delicious this sandwich was. From the delicious meats, the fresh veggies, and my personal favorite part -- that focaccia bread. I would buy that alone. They had specials on their menu the day I went that was a not on their menu -- a meatball sub and arancini balls. Also, keep in mind, that this shop is inside the Mobil gas station on 441 and SW 18th. There is a sign on the outside of the gas station, but if you're driving by and unsure of the location, I can confirm it is inside the Mobil. Overall, a great experience; delicious food, great people behind the counter. Only caveat I would say is it is a little bit higher price for a sandwich, but with the current economy where a McDonalds burger is over 10 bucks, you truly get what you pay for and that is top quality, fresh and delicious food. Will definitely be coming back here in the future.
