I used to work in one of the businesses when they first opened and I love this place. The selection is awesome, the food is amazing and owners are great. Some of the ladies could fix their attitudes but I usually order to-go so I do not deal with them for too long. Everything is super fresh. Definitely recommend this place. read more

I have had a tuna torts, tuna sandwich and tuna salad here and they were all pretty good. I tried the tamarindo chamango and just my preference it was a little too strong but the strawberry chamango is perfect especially with all they heat we have had lately. I will definitely go back to try something no tuna though as I am sure it is also good :) read more

This place was a bit slow to fill the order and the music was blasting a bit loud for 9 on a Saturday, but hey...that torta was amazingly delicious and massive...so I will take the loud music any day. They take card, but be sure to bring cash as they have a $5 card minimum. read more

It's great little fruit shop for us on this side of the town. We do need more fruit shops though! Looks like it's a monopoly market for the DK guys here on Palm avenue. The service is alright, it really depends on who is taking your order, most girls who work there are nice except the usual few. Nothing will or can make them smile. They look super sad to work there. And will work in such a rush where they don't care to interact better with their clients. Tonight I bought a mango heaven (very icy), power nutrient ( it was ok) and a small bowl of fruit salad. To my horror, they didn't include the honey :( :( I never had to check my bag before leaving from here. So I trusted to know that they would have definitely included it. Nope! I was wrong, this lady forgot my honey!! That's really what makes the fruit go down. So yeah, it is a big deal. Going back there and getting it! Lol. The staff also hesitates to give away the reward program card, or collect 6 stickers to get a 7th one free kinda card. I have no idea why?! I somehow got one and now every time I show it, they act super stingy to sign it. Wow , but why though?! The sandwiches are the best in the entire Palm avenue! Food is alright but everything is bit over priced for the quality. $6 for a plain smoothie is a bit much for IB. This isnt la jolla or downtown where everything is over priced for good reason. I would alao understand if they used premium ingredients but they don't. They get most of their products from Mexico and charge and arm and a leg. If im going to be paying almost $20 for a meal id expect it to be filling at the very least. In this case i got a sandwich and a smoothie for about $16!!! For home made quality!!! I used to love going to this place but the last few times I've gone I've been so disappointed. One time I went they didnt have churros for churos locos. I dont understand how a company who know this is on their menu doesn't stock up to make sure they dont run out. I went a few days later and they still didnt have the churros. I went a different time and finally they had the churros but the cuerritos were so old they were soggy. Made the entire plate taste bad. This isn't the only thing we get but for some reason i have always had a bad experience. Today we went to ho get churros locos and a chamango. Whe. We got there, there was only one person there. They had already ordered and were just waiting for they food. We ordered and paid and sat down to wait. Shortly after we ordered a few people came in. A man , then a lady then a family and everyone would order and get their food and we were there still waiting. My husband got up to ask and the lady gave him an attitude and turned around. She must of not realized that he was with me , or didnt see me looking at her or didnt care because she rolled her eyes and did a face expression of discussed. This made me upset but still decided to take the high ride and go up my self and ask. I noticed that our food was just sitting there all this time they just decided to make us wait. Not sure why they decided not to give us our food as soon as it came out and instead make us wait. But due to this our food was soggy and melting. The chamango was melting and the churros in the churros locos were soggy. We also asked for everything in the churros locos and they failed to make it right. They left stuff out to top it off. To say that from now on I will take a little longer ride and go to Tacumbo. read more

I usually don't have a problem coming here. However, today I order a breakfast sandwich and it has ham on it I ask for bacon instead. Without my knowledge, the lady charges me a dollar extra, mind you I didn't add anything extra to the sandwich. When I ask what is this extra charge after she already swiped my card without telling me she was charged me extra, she said it's because of the bacon. I then going on about how I didn't add anything extra to the sandwich and that if I was going to be changed extra you guys should have told me. The lady basically didn't care and look at me with a blank stare. Basically there rude and robbed me a dollar, it's not really about the dollar it's about the principle. Today my girlfriend and I went in and ordered two small raspados, I got Nunez and vanilla with cream and my girlfriend got strawberry/mango with cream ,I am sad to say for the price we paid,you would think you would get alot of Nunez and fruit ,but wrong both our drink had little to no flavor. When we got home I had to cut up strawberries for her raspados,and Sad to say we live down the street and we are still on the hunt for a good raspados place. read more

I decided to try this place since there isn't a Jamba Juice that's close by...and I'm glad I did! The smoothies can be made with either soy milk, 2%, or whole milk and they're very tasty (I've tried the Choco-Banana and Peanut Power smoothies).
