The food was over all great. A lot of flavor and we simply got full and took some home. We went to eat the leftover and we spotted a fried bug. The food is delicious, I had the chicken Marsala and it was a big enough portion to have enough left over for tomorrow's lunch! The prices are reasonable and affordable. Our server was Ricardo, I believe. We were excited to try this place as it had positive feedback through a gluten free app. We waited quite a while to be helped, but that was okay as they seemed busy. When our waiter came over to get our order, I started by letting him know that we would be ordering everything gluten free. He very loudly said that the whole menu was not gluten free as if I meant that the restaurant was exclusively gluten free. He was a bit dismissive and abrasive, so I explained that I was merely letting him know that there was a wheat allergy at the table since he did not ask about allergies - this was to make it easier for him from the start. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and chicken Alfredo. The pizza was described as "yes, lots of pepperonis!" On the menu. So we opted for that to see what it was about. Spoiler alert- there were not many pepperonis, sadly. The sauce was good! Nice and fresh, so we were a bit disappointed that the pepperoni on the pizza didn't live up to the description. We were brought the pasta, and it had regular noodles on it. When we pointed it out, the server insisted they were gluten free, and I politely nodded but then said that he had explained in the beginning that they only had fusilli, and the noodles were spaghetti. So he asked the kitchen, came back and said "you were right, there's gluten, they are making the right ones now." Imagine, had we believed his pressing initially, we would have had an allergic reaction! He comes back with the right noodles, and sets them down. I wave to him and ask where the chicken was, and he said multiple times that we ordered regular garlic Alfredo. We opened the menu and pointed because the two Alfredo's are in different parts of the page, and he paused, typed something into his device, and then said he would grab the chicken. The pasta was also quite good, so we didn't mind even if we didn't get what we ordered (the chicken Alfredo is also made with mushrooms). The server came back once we were finished and asked if we wanted dessert. I hesitated as I didn't even know where to look or what was gluten free. He then said "so do you want anything else or the check?" I opted for the check as I felt he really wasn't invested in serving us properly - there was no pointing to the dessert menu or recommendation made. I feel the food tasted quite good but the service was disappointing. I don't know that we would return. read more
