So I've been a couple of times in the last few weeks. Met an old friend who lives in Europe with her boyfriend, staying a few blocks away for dinner a few weeks ago. Weekend nights are crowded and lively, the food was very good and the service efficient. Weirdly they had eaten a large lunch in the city -- so they shared a meal and that wasn't problem. They were sad to hear they were out of cappuccino but we all had tiramisu which was wonderful. Today went for midday lunch/meal with my mom and some of her friends, one with serious dementia. The waitress was very nice greeting us, I gave her as heads up, and she was very sweet and understanding. The food was wonderful and their bread which is always tasty, was toasted and warm. I almost don't want to give a great review for fear of more people coming to D'Parma's, but I have to say that this place is amazing. Just amazing, authentic Italian food for a great price. Adding to that great price is the BYOB policy, but luckily, there are ample liquor stores in Winthrop, including across the street. Had dinner here last night. I grew up in a heavily Italian community and ate good Italian food regularly. This was good but not great. The server was pleasant but not very attentive. We had stuffed mushrooms which were tasty. The linguini with clams was all garlic and light on clams. The marsala was just marsala wine. Generally under seasoned. read more

Probably the best chicken parm I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The chicken was moist, flavorful, and topped with just the right amount of mozerella and tomato sauce. Served with a side salad and a small bown of ziti, all for $11? Hard to believe but it's true. My friend got the eggplant, also wonderful. Not bitter or filled with seeds, just perfect. My boyfriend and I consider D'Parma "our restaurant." We go here most special occassions, like went for my birthday and Valentines Day. It can get noisy as it is quite small and sometimes it is a bit awkward when you first walk in and are unsure if someone will greet/seat you but the food and prices make up for it. The Della Casa Risotto is absolutely amazing and I would eat every day. My boyfriend typically gets 2 meals to ensure he has lunch the next day, he loves it so much! We love this place and the fact that it's on OpenTable is fantastic!! read more

Did we just order the wrong things? Come on an off night? I was in the mood for Italian and remembered a coworker telling me she went there all the time when she lived in the area a few years ago, plus I just love BYOB. We called at 5pm for a 7pm reservation on a Saturday night and they were able to accomodate us. The restaurant was busy but not packed. Cute atmosphere, casual and cozy. Our server was great, attentive and quick. No complaints there. We truly are not "foodies" or even picky eaters, we just wanted some good red sauce Italian cuisine but what we got was just bland all around. Sad face. The eggplant rollatini app was bland, needed more sauce and just all around more seasoning. I had the risotto with chicken, sundried tomatoes and pink sauce and the only way to describe it was bland with a hint of...PLASTIC? I really can't explain it better than that. My boyfriend ordered the chicken marsala and it was just so blah. Could barely taste the marsala wine which is funny because another reviewer called the marsala overly sweet. Which makes me think there's a serious lack of consistency in the kitchen. We just dumped a lot of parmesan on both our plates and ate because we were starving. Our server was really nice so we weren't about to complain to her - she didn't cook the food - but sadly I don't think we'll be returning. Too bad because I suspect that on a different night our experience could have been better, but consistency is key. read more

I went on Tuesday 3/28....I rate this place 4 stars hands down...1. The service was great Lidia was amazing...2. The food was amazing I got the veal parm with Zitti , the plate of Zitti could of been bigger but I'm more concerned about how the veal was...and again it was amazing....... I would have gave a SOLID 5 IF THE PLATE OF ZITTI WAS BIGGER ...I would definitely go back and definitely recommend this place..... read more

Me and my girlriends wanted to come here for Valentine's Day. We made a reservation 3 weeks prior.. 6 people at 8:00 pm.It is currently 8:41 and we are still not seated. We ended up being seated five minutes later. And out waitress was good, the food was good, but later in the night I order take out and another person working, Freddy, ended up taking my order. And he must have heard the wrong thing because something else came out. And it was an honest mistake but he started to yell at me and my friends across the restaurant. This is a restaurant where you get great bang for the buck. We started with the stuffed mushrooms which was the only dish that was disappointing. Definitely would not order again. The mushrooms were slightly filled with prosciutto in a milky sauce. Followed up with the DParma salad with the chicken cutlet. Very good salad. Chicken was nice & thin & salad had prosciutto, roasted peppers, & fresh mozzarella. Main course was lobster ravioli. Delicious. Very generous with the lobster, pasta cooked just right and cream sauce was very flavorful. Best part was we brought our own bottle of wine and there was no corking fee. Total of my bill was $35. I love everything about this place: the food, the staff, the atmosphere. It's a cozy restaurant and gets packed on the weekends. Once a year I travel up to Boston to visit my brother and see some old friends, and I insist the one place we go out to eat is D'Parma's!! Italian food in Florida is terrible and I need my Antipasto fix!! The bread is outstanding, the meats are nice and fresh the cheese is great. D'Parma is everything you'd want from a neighborhood Italian restaurant: consistently good food (especially the Italian 'classics'), an unpretentious and convivial atmosphere, and a BYOB policy that keeps your tab low. It's not gourmet Italian and some things could stand improvement (e.g., the house salad of iceberg lettuce, hothouse tomatoes, and a sharp vinegary dressing) but most dishes are fantastic (I like the linguini with seafood, the risotto, and the carbonara). Nice atmosphere ... lights a bit too low for my taste ... tacky-yet-fun decor. Skip the dessert and instead, go across the street for some soft-serve and a walk on the beach! read more

This hidden jewel is not to be missed. I've eaten there dozens of times over the years and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. The food is fantastic; the service is friendly and attentive; the portions are generous (I've taken a few doggy bags home and I'm no slouch on putting it away); the atmosphere is cozy; and the prices are right making it a great value. Attended a family dinner with a group of 9 and there were 9 well prepared meals served to us. This was good food at a good price, nothing knocked our socks off, but nothing was bad. We also sampled a number of deserts and all were very good. Our server was very pleasant, but not particularly attentive or efficient. I got a sense that the wait staff are not coordinated in a way that they help each other out and it resulted in some times where one waiter was crazy busy with another just standing around. It could be that they had some new people on our visit. Will probably give them another chance if we dine in Winthrop again. read more

We've been going to D'Parma regularly since it first opened. Great quality food, portions, prices and byob! Last night's meal I'm sorry to say was NOT what is usually served there. It tasted ok but the portions were minuscule! Had egg plant / veal parm combo that looked the size of a small buttermilk pancake from the Ihop! It was totally lost on the huge plate it was served on. Literally 4 bites and it was gone! My wife got her favorite fruitti d'amare and it was short on shrimp, calamari and mussels....no clams! Its' a dish that usually comes home in a "doggy"bag for the next day! Last night it barely filled her up. Very disappointed and it appears they are now into portion control or rather skimpy portion control. I called the restaurant today to express my disappointment and was told that the veal they used went up in price which means smaller portions for the patrons.......during the cooking process of the fruitti d'amare the chef might have forgotten to put the ( 2 clams they now serve) back into the bowl. Lame excuses as far as I'm concerned. The good thing is there are other great Italian restaurants to go to in the area. read more

Been eating at this place since they opened absolutely will never go there again called in an order they told me 25 to 35 minutes an hour and 7 minutes later I got my order and when I complained about the time the owners daughter told me that they were busy not im sorry for your inconvenience just we are busy and when I said why didn't you tell me in advance about the delay no very sorry for your inconvenience nothing like that at all just basically food is good enough for the inconvenience unexceptable apparently uncaring restaurant owners rule and customer is not always right but the opposite customer gets the fluff of well im a Batchelor and eat out very often ill take my minum 1000 dollars a year down to Rosetties from now on. And also to add to insult to injury got home no utensils was so pissed that the governor is closing down restaurants early i don't care if this place closes for good read more

Mmmmm. I love, love, love this place. The gnocchi is so good, as is the risotto. Prices are reasonable, and you get salad and bread with entrees. Desserts are absolutely wonderful, and it just feels small and homey. Bring your own bottle of wine and settle in for a wonderful meal! read more

The good: The trout over pasta, was delicious and plenty. The swordfish was delicious, too. The bring-your-own-wine makes the restaurant more affordable. They accommodated a table of 12 even while crowded. The bread was delicious... nice and toasty. The waiter was nice. The bad: The steak was too fatty. We got one basket of bread for 12 people... had to ask for more bread. The service was slow. Would give this review 4 1/2 stars if 1/2 stars were offered. read more

I have been an avid customer of D'Parmas. Unfortunately, if you do not have 4 or more in your group on a weekend night it is not the place to have a leisurely dinner. No complaints about the food. Hostess is rude not accomodating at all. Very insensitive of not knowing the regulars. I am so disappointed I have been going since they first open.
