Grandma, cheese, & mushroom slices and garlic knots
    Cecilia T.

A friend of mine who loves this place recommended them to me about 7 yrs ago. They have a good selection of specialty pizza, calzones and rolls as well as heros, salads and pastas. Everything I've tried here in the past years have been good, if not, decent. Prices are reasonable and the staff are very friendly. Same price- cash or credit. Although it isn't my favorite pizza spot bc I've definitely had better elsewhere, it is a great choice if you're in the area & craving Italian food. I like their grandma pizza, rice ball and spaghetti but I don't think you can go wrong with any of their pizza :p

Incredible food and service. First time there and we absolutely loved it! The staff was so helpful and attentive. The margarita pizza sauce was perfectly sweet and delicious, and everything was great quality.

I've visited da-Angelo pizza several times and they serve decent pizza at a reasonable price. They have a small selection speciality slices and rolls that are heated to perfection in just a couple of minutes. The restaurant is small but well-kept and inviting. The decor is a mixture of a classic Italian pizzeria fused with wood paneling making it feel like you are also in a cabin in the woods. They have a beautiful fireplace as a centerpiece and a somewhat spacious dining floor. I would not come here with a big party since they only have one large table in the back. The staff is very kind and makes it feel like you are part of their family while you are there. They are quick to take your order but still take their time to talk to you and make friendly conversation. They have a small parking lot but I am assuming that it gets busy during the weekends so you may have to park on the street. The reason I gave this place four stars instead of five is solely because of their pizza taste and quality. Although it is good, I have had better slices in the area and have also had many more options to choose from in local restaurants. I have heard that the dining menu is very good here so I may come back for that, which can possibly change my rating. -------- PLEASE READ: I am starting a new Pizza Review Series in which I will be rating slices from over 30 different pizzerias in my local area in Nassau County, Long Island. I will use a regular cheese slice as a baseline and a specialty slice as added depth to the review. These rating are solely based on my opinion and taste preference so please do not be offended if one of my ratings does not align with your opinion on the pizza. I am excited to have da-Angelo as my first review in this series! #1 da-Angelo Pizzeria Cheese slice: a solid slice with a generous amount of cheese and sauce. Sauce could have had more seasoning. Crust was thin and crispy but a little dry. Not too greasy and minimal oil drip. Overall, I would rate this slice an 8/10. Specialty slice: For my specialty slice, I ordered a white slice. This was a full cheese slice with no sauce but in my opinion, there was too much ricotta and not enough mozzarella. The ricotta was overpowering and it felt like there was too much mush on the slice. There was also no hint of garlic, which would have gone perfect on this pizza. The crust was a little thicker and softer compared to the cheese slice. Again, not too greasy and minimal oil drip. I would rate this slice a 6/10. For more ratings please see my Pizza Ratings Collection on my profile.

We were in the area. This came up with the best reviews and they're not wrong. The pizza was good as was the service, and the place itself is nice inside. Not the best pizza I've had but I think we NYers are loyal to our local places, but it was some solid pizza. If I was ever around that area again I'd def stop by again.

Margarita pizza possibly the best I've ever had!!

It's been a few months since I've been out here. They did a beautiful interior remodel including the bathrooms. Whenever I'm near this part of Long Island I try to stop by. Without a doubt they have the best margarita pizza anywhere! Everyone is friendly, the place is very clean and they have great food. They are set up to deal with COVID-19 and have the interior of the restaurant spaced accordingly with dividers that can be moved. I have been coming here from Brooklyn for about 2 years and would highly recommend them.

We only waited about 5 minutes on a Friday night... surprisingly quick! You can't go to a clam bar without ordering clams!!! Raw Clams: Fresh, large, and served with cocktail sauce and horseradish. Can't go wrong! Baked Clams: A must order! The breading was flavorful, and had the perfect crispy crunch. Mussels in White Wine Sauce: Generous portion with fresh mussels. The white wine sauce was rich, buttery, and perfect for dipping bread. Seafood Salad: My favorite was the calamari. It was perfectly tender with a bouncy texture, not rubbery/chewy. It also came with shrimp, scallops, mussels, and large crunchy croutons. Vincent's Classic Combination: We chose the fried calamari and fried shrimp. The breading was light, crispy, and not oily. The sauce leaned on the sweeter side, even though we requested it spicy. My only complaint is that I wish it came with more linguine. Napoleon: Light, flaky, and not overly sweet. A great way to end the meal. Overall, fresh seafood in generous portions with classic Italian flavors. If you're looking for a solid seafood spot, this one is definitely worth a visit! Highly recommend!

Wow. What a find…read more First of all, the decor is beautiful: open spaces, super clean with plenty of seating. Service is smart and friendly. Everything we ordered was exceptional. We shared the cold dip sampler (taramasalata, babaganoush, tzatziki) and crispy eggplant and zucchini chips. Highly recommend both...the picky eater at the table (who literally eats no vegetables) couldn't stop eating the chips. Rave reviews of the Alaskan halibut and the pork chop. I had the Rocca avocado salad with grilled chicken. Again-excellent! Dessert? Chocolate mousse and custard - I tasted both and loved each option. The mousse was somehow rich, dark...yet "light" at the same time. The custard was warm and had a thin layer of phyllo dough with a drizzle of honey sauce. We arrived when it wasn't too busy on a week night; I'd recommend reservations on weekends. I'll definitely be back!

The cocktail drinks took a long time to arrive, and they arrived after the appetizers--and were incorrect, so we had to send them back. The main dishes took another hour to be served. I have pictures with timestamps showing the delay, with over an hour between the appetizers and the main courses. During this time, we asked for extra bread and clarification, but the servers seemed unsure and kept pointing at each other, which was frustrating. Later, a manager explained that the delay was due to our ordering moussaka, but if the kitchen was overwhelmed, they could have let us know. We're reasonable guests, but their explanations felt lacking. Overall, the service was quite poor. To make matters worse, they added a 20% gratuity charge--something we usually tip pretty well even though service is too bad to tip. But I don't expect to tip 20% to this horrible service. We really enjoy the food here, but unfortunately, due to the experience, we don't think we'll be returning.

What they offer include the slow-roasted pernil, rich Ropa Vieja, and the Cuban sandwich. Portions are generous, the cocktails (like mojitos and sangria) are excellent, and the lively atmosphere makes it a great spot for both casual dining and celebrations. They offer rich, comforting, and authentic Cuban flavors. Diners love the slow-roasted pork (pernil) and Ropa Vieja, which melt in your mouth. If you want something lighter, the Cubano sandwich on Long Island is frequently cited as a destination-worthy staple. The space feels warm and family-run, as what I may describe as stepping into an "abuela's house". The staff is highly attentive and offers great menu recommendations. It tends to get packed--especially on weekend evenings--but the lively vibe (including staff-led birthday songs) adds to the charm. I note that the pricing is moderate and reasonable for the high quality and generous portion sizes, frequently allowing diners to take home leftovers.
