Just moved to the area and I needed a pizza place!! Being that I am myself a chubby Italian I was so nervous that I could not find anything close by that I would really like, after seeing a super busy parking lot and people waiting online I decided to wait and check it out,, I was greeted nicely when it was my turn and I asked if they had buffalo chicken left the guy looked around and said let me make you some fresh ones, Amazing !!!!!!, for such a busy place they really know how to treat people with a good attitude and everybody there seem very happy, when I left there I just felt something so comforting to know that I have a place like this right down the block, The guy upfront with the reddish hair treated me like gold and I most definitely will be there very much in the future'. Was givin a tip while at sweet to lick near by that I could asks for a cheese less pizza that is great. This amped up pizzeria is not exactly what I pictured but was pleasantly surprised. There was the typical fair of pizzas cut up ready to heat and eat (all looked tasty) and other assorted Italian goodies. I asked at counter for this alleged cheese less pizza, and it took a little figuring out but was make to order a yummy salad personal pizza minus the cheese. It was filling and delicious! The pizza crust retains flavorful crunch, the mozzarella part skim and the margherita and caprese utilize quality canned plum tomato. What really knocked me around was their tripe dish. Stopped in a little after 9 and the place was still busy. They treat everyone like family and our waitress (I forgot her name) was so sweet bringing everything we needed to make our show on time. Really loved how accommodating they are. A mom and daughter stopped in close to 10 but the pizza guy made sure to have everything they wanted even if it meant he made it on the spot. This place has much more to offer than just pizza and heroes. They also offer a full service dinner menu offering delicious homemade Italian dishes. My wife and I came in for dinner and were promptly seated, and before we knew there was a bowl of just out of the oven small knots of bread made foe pizza dough and garlic bread. Danielle was our waitress and served us two large glasses of Cabernet which were smooth tasting. For an appetizer I ordered the Mussels Rosa Maria, mussels served in a light rosemary cream sauce. It was a large portion of mussels which tasted fresh and were delicious. I could have have made a meal with just the mussels. As a main course my wife had the Chicken Fantasia which consisted of two large pieces of sauteed chicken breast topped with cutup asparagus, roasted peppers and onions served in a light marinara sauce. My wife ate half and took the other half home. I ordered the Black Linguine Posillipo, which consisted of squid ink colored fresh linguine, with mussels and clams cooked in the shell and calamari and small octopus. They were not skimpy and it was simply delicious. I look forward to ordering this dish when it is on the menu. For dessert we each had the freshly filled miniature cannoli and double espresso (real double sized), and they also brought out the Sambuca. This was a class act in bringing over the Sambuca without requesting it and to pour into you espresso if you so desired. Starting with the waitress and the entire staff they made you feel comfortable and the atmosphere is friendly. Whoever answers the phone, to take down take out orders....She is one of the nastiest people to have take an order. She does not speak English well and finds it very difficult to understand your order. And by the way, she slammed the phone on me and hung up because she didn't understand. Great pizza and other assorted Italian fare. I ordered here recently and picked it up to bring to a friend at the hospital and we were not disappointed. The scilician slices are super fresh and delicious as are the salads and the panini they make (grilled chicken and broccoli rabe grilled to perfection). I wanted to like this place for another neighborhood takeout...I ordered two entrees with two slices....later on I felt funny with a fast pulse. The next day I called and the man I spoke to said they use MSG in most of their dishes....I can't believe it.. This is not Chinese food,,, and even those restaurants stopped using MSG.. I will never eat here again until they say in their menu which dishes have MSG so I can select properly. read more

Ordered a delivery... Waited over 1 hr and 15 mins. Called after 45 mins. Was told its on the way. Called back 10mins later they said the delivery guy was lost. They said another order would come right to me with a different driver. 25 mins later and another phone call the order was delivered by original driver. Mgmt lied to me about new order and about time frame. The order was stone cold !!! I called yet again to complain about the cold order and the extreme lateness I was given the choice of another order. I could pick it up or wait another 45 mins. !!!!!! Rude people on the phone. Constantly put on hold after saying hello. No offer of a discount on next order. Nothing. I WONT BE ordering any food there again for delivery or dine in. In Long Island there are a lot of really good pizza shops. Da Angelo is located near my old house where I grew up. The place is small and there are usually tables available. One reason to go to Da Angelo is for their grandma pizza, it's delicious. The pasta dishes are good, but the portion are very small compare to other places. I will never order from this place again. I ordered a dinner portion of rigatoni aka vodka they gave 15 noodles Fifteen not Fifty. I opened the silver round container to find fifteen noodles only, I couldn't believe my eyes I thought they gave me someone's leftovers. I spoke with the owner he is the most rudest person I ever spoke with. Besides ordering other food I requested for them to come and pick up the order that they delivered. He refused ! Went there for lunch, service was horrible. No greeting upon entering n when I approached the counter pizza guy seemed bothered n I felt rushed. So I order 2 reg slices n 1 Sicilian. I got 1 regular n a Sicilian & pizza was cold. Started looking for someone to throw slices back in the oven n after bout 5 minutes I have up considering I only had 30 minutes for lunch. Now glad he shorted my order cuss after eating that pizza. I had the worst heartburn for the entire day n night. I've had frozen box pizza with better flavor. Place sucked, food sucked. And only reason 2 stars is cuss of the decor of the place. Looks nice but everything else (food n service) Sucked. Plenty of other pizza joints out there to treat customers like a bother. Great pizza, friendly service. I have been eating their pizza for years. I had lunch there last week once again, and actually sat down and had their "lunch special" which was like $8 for a drink, fresh mini pizza and a salad. The salad was fresh w/homemade salad dressing, the mini pizza was fresh out of the oven, piping hot and just as tasty as their slices. Nothing beats a fresh pie, the laid out slices unless hot out of the oven won't have the same effect. I enjoy their pastas and soups too.
