I'm often at Humbowl and want to support small businesses. I came across Da Bianca Trattoria located in the same shopping center. We were not greeted with a warm welcome. My nephew ordered the Veal Parmigiana and I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese with a side of meatballs. We also ordered calamari appetizer. The calamari was excellent. However, the main entrees were average. When we left there were two females at the entrance (younger and middle aged) who did not bother to say "thank you" or "have a nice evening." Food, ambiance and service were underwhelming. I will stick with Baci Italian Restaurant in Anaheim Hills. They're friendly, food and service is always excellent! read more

I've been coming to this restaurant for 20 years, I use to come with my father after my mom passed, we would go out to dinner every Thursday. This was one of our spots. As someone who has grown up in the restaurant industry and has had to transition from original owner to second generation, I can tell you it's not easy. It's hard. But Marjan has handled it with in my opinion amazing success. The food is always top notch, the service is fantastic and to be honest, I've never had a bad meal. If I had, I know that Marjan and her staff would take care of it. It surprised me when I see any negative comments, and it's refreshing that Marjan reaches out to most if not all the comments. I wish that patrons, if they do have a problem, would allow the business to rectify...BEFORE...they write a scathing review. Patrons need to realize, that these reviews hurt and we as owners take them personally. Everyone has an off night, were only human. But this restaurant and this family, they signify all that's good in the hospitality world, and my hope is that they continue on for decades to come... read more

3/24/18 update: I have now had the best meal I've eaten in all of Southern California...incredible. Started with an order of calamari and mozzarella - those two apps are our favorites, and, unlike any restaurant anywhere. My wife stayed with the chicken Marsala, but one of the specials was a bacon-wrapped scallop dish. When Nuri brought it to the table, I took a picture! It was the best meal I've had...ever. The scallops were cooked to perfection; the linguini was incredible, and the service was once again 10-star. Wow Da Bianca was a great find. We recently moved from newport to n tustin hills and this place was recommended by locals. They were right. This area has several restaurants like this with a loyal following of local residents. Da Bianca is in the center with Pacific Ranch market way up on Chapman. We came without reservations on a Saturday night at 830. It was full but they found us a table. Wine list really good. List of specials was great and we will return. My wife and I came here for our wedding anniversary as it was highly recommended from our neighbors. When we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and a welcome and sat at a table. The service was friendly, and the menu had many delicious items to choose from. I chose the lasagna and my wife chose a pasta dish with fish. Both were very delicious along with a side salad. It seems it was a family friendly place with lots of regular customers. Our waiter was friendly and towards the end was a little slow to respond to checking in on us. We ordered calamari as an appetizer and for our main course we ordered lasagna and the house special stuffed chicken. Everything was soo flavorful. I will Definitely recommend this restaurant. I agree with everything Micheal shared. Our family has been going to DaBianca's since their opening in 1990. Bianca was a warm, welcoming and wonderful host she made you feel at home. Marjon has done an amazing job of carrying on that tradition. Always welcoming as are the servers, some who have been there for a very long time. My husband and I wanted to try Da Bianca due to great referral from a friend. Let me tell you, we were beyond disappointed. The best thing we had was the garlic bread, Caesar salad, and the mushroom ravioli that was the special. The carbonara was bland, having no flavor. The gnocchi didn't seem "authentic". It reminded me of pasta that was just rolled up like the shape of a gnocchi with marinara sauce over the top. Claros Italian market sells frozen gnocchi that is WAY better & half the price. If your business wants to stay alive Da Bianca, you better step up your game! read more

Tried this place on my birthday, we were a party of four. From the garlic bread to the spumoni everything was delicious. Service was wonderful. We sat down we were greeted told the evening specials and we ordered calamari as an appetizer. Then a very nice gentleman with a basket of fabulous garlic bread walks around and place it for you and that happens throughout the evening and it's delicious! Our entrees were all excellent...eggplant parmigiana-- amazing red sauce, Spaghetti alla Carbonara - which they happily substituted fettuccine noodles & 2 of us enjoyed the Farfalle Genovese. We've driven by shopping center fairly often and didn't realize this little restaurant was even here until yesterday. Hidden in a shopping area near Orange Park Acres (across from Santiago Community College), Da Bianca Trattoria is a real gem. Since I don't get to take my son out to a nice dinner very often, finding this restaurant last night was a wonderful surprise. We got here for an early dinner and were amazed by how great everything was. We started off with the garlic bread, and it was so good. With just the right amount of garlic and butter, eating one piece of the bread just wasn't enough. I ordered the Chicken Marsala, and it had the best marsala sauce I've had in a while. I was really in the mood for a lighter meal, and the Chicken Marsala was heavenly. My son, the pint-sized pasta lover, ordered the Penne Pasta with the marinara sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce had a wonderful blend of spices. The service was also great here. Our waiter (Will) was friendly and attentive. When my son and I finished our bread, another freshly baked basket of bread seemed to magically appear. We really appreciate how helpful our wait staff was. I think we found our new favorite Italian restaurant. With great food and good service, we definitely plan on coming back really soon! read more

We went to Da Bianca Trattoria last night for the first time and have nothing but good things to say. Our server was energized, kind, and knew the specials and menu very well. The food was great. My spaghetti dish was a massive serving. They even asked what brought us there. It happened to be my birthday so my parents chose the spot. We ordered take out from Da Bianca and it was bad. I got there to pick it up and the food was not ready. I had to wait for it. I was early, I paid for the order, and ran an errand. i came back at the schedule time and the food was not ready. By the time the food arrived (sitting in my car waiting), it took them 15 minutes extra to get the order done. When I got home, the food was warm not hot. My family tasted the food and it was uneatable. It was immediately dumped in the trash. We ate scrambled eggs for dinner. Here's the issue, if you are a friend or regular customer, the owner gives you your order fast, first, and of quality. If you are not a regular customer, it is given late, warm and tasteless. This is the 2nd time we ordered take out and it was thrown into the trash. So much for second chances and helping restaurants in this crisis. read more

Been coming to this family owned restaurant for many years. To my family this is the best food, service, and atmosphere anywhere in the States. If you have ever traveled you know what so called authentic Italian/Scicialian is. This food is so good that you owe it to yourself to get here as soon as possible. Consistancy is one big reason why. Flavors are special. Recently had the poached salmon and pasta special and I made myself a promise to have it again next time we are there. And the spinach salad is amazing. I have read some of the reviews that arent 5 star and that is an insult in my opinion. One lady sounded like a spoiled child that lost an argument with her mom. I have a severe garlic allergy, Italian restaurants are usually not on my radar - because I'm sure creating my meal is a pain. I was treated so kindly and was served one of the BEST pasta dishes I've ever had in my life! The service was good, especially the sweet busboy who made sure I had warm crispy bread without garlic! The food was amazing! We went to celebrate my Fiancé's birthday and the atmosphere was beautiful, it wasn't super loud and everything we had was top quality. I would definitely recommend. The service was great too. They answered all of our questions and were very attentive. And apologized when the food took a little longer than expected. We will definitely be going back. Don't call this restaurant! My wife and I just return home after driving 40 minutes each way to this restaurant. We had called yesterday in the afternoon and spoke to a man with an accent ~ most likely Italian. I assumed it was the owner or the manager because the time I called which was Friday night prior to their opening of the restaurant that evening. I asked to make a reservation for about 6 PM the next evening on Saturday night which was tonight. He said I had option of 5:45 or 6:15 and I said I would take the 6:15 reservation. When we arrived there tonight at 6:05 after our 40 minute, drive a young lady told us that our name did not appear in the reservation book. She went over and talked to somebody by the kitchen and came back and said "sorry we can't accommodate inside the restaurant but you can sit outside if you want." Of course, we did not want to sit outside in the evening we decided to leave. We have been going to this restaurant for many years. They have very good food, but this was so disappointing that we will not going back to this restaurant for a very long time and we will advise our friends and family that this restaurant does not have the ability to keep track of their reservation commitments! read more
