Visiting from San Diego and this was the best restaurant we tried here. Delicious food, generous portions, and great care in every dish.

This hidden gem is delicious! Everything was made fresh and was authentic! Don't waste your time at fast food Hawaiian spots. If you want quality service and food Da Valley should be your go to. It is mine now!

If you are thinking about going to Da Valley, DO IT!!! The cashier was friendly and helpful, and super efficient. Had the order placed delviered so quickly! The inside is pretty normal; a little dingy but whatever, it was a place to sit while i scarf down the yummy food! I sampled everyones dish at my table. It was all great! Super hot, but after my tongue went numb from the hot temp, I was good to just dig in! Check out Da Valley if you want som tasty island food!

Service was excellent, really clean restaurant. I've always drive so fast by this place never thought a restaurant would be in this plaza. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and a crunch roll. Great portion, the roll was delicious and freshly made. Definitely will be coming back cannot wait to try other dishes. Also the mac salad is sweet, never had it that way before ny daughter loved it.

A black swan next to an industrial area at Deer Valley , one has to wonder, what the heck is a mom N pop Hawaiian restaurant doing next to an ammo store? If I didn't hear cranes, construction, and whistles blowing nearby, I'd think I was in Hawaii, near the beach, waves crashing in the background . Not fancy by any stretch, the food is authentic, cooked one meal at a time, on a stove, the size you'd find in a New York City apartment. I ordered the lemongrass shrimp. Extremely good although the shrimp was rubbery and overcooked. What I was most impressed with was the flavour. Id definitely come back again.

AMAZING !! Every time me and my wife come here we get such a warm welcome and it always feel like we are eating a home cooked meal it's wonderful. The food quality is great and the restaurant is always kept clean! This is not our first or last time ordering food from here. 10/10 will come back again.

We were in the vicinity of this cafe and Dec to order take out. No one here at this odd hour. Service was quick and efficient. Place is small and very clean. We ordered Chicken Katsu to go. Two large breast fillets were cooked to perfection. Two scoops of rice and sauce for the chicken come with the meal. I made some veggies to go along with the meal. The chicken was fresh and tender. Parking right outside. This cafe is located in an industrial part of town. They are open weekdays and a few hours on Saturday. Great prices.

Mostly not too memorable. The katsu chicken was a bit hard and chewy (even when cold) and the oil used was not good quality. The macaroni salad needed to be colder also. Pineapple sauce average too.

Ask the Community - Da Valley Grill

I have a food allergy to sesame oil, do you use sesame oil, and if you do are you able to make entrees without sesame oil?

Sesame oil is not typically used in HI type food. If you are concerned, call them first and let them know. They are nice people and will be happy to make it without any sesame oil.

To be clear, I am a New Yorker and know good fast Chinese food. The ambiance was promising. It looked like I was finally going to find what I've been looking for in Phoenix for years. For whatever reason, Chinese restaurants in Arizona serve egg hockey pucks and cover it with various items and call it egg foo young. I even asked about it before I ordered it. Alas when I got home and saw what I had, I was disappointed. It's faster to make it this way but the egg hockey puck had no taste - zero. They could have at least added oyster sauce, a little soy sauce, maybe nam plah, and perhaps sesame oil. It was tasteless. A complete miss. I also ordered something simple, shrimp spring rolls. They were delicious! I inhaled them and will order them again. I'd go again just for the spring rolls. Maybe they have other dishes that are good and I may not entirely give up but the egg foo young is a no go.

Thai Chicken is moist with nice slight char to give you that depth of flavors. Can easily share this. Egg rolls were crispy on the outside and moist inside, served with a great orangish red sauce. I ordered the way I did on purpose. These are my go to Thai dishes. The staples. I wanted to taste everything I consider my personal favorites so I could really gauge the restaurant across the board. The vegetable egg rolls and chicken satay were good. Solid. The potstickers were good. The chicken larb was actually good, maybe a little too much sugar, it tasted slightly sweet, but still one of the stronger dishes. Mango sticky rice was enjoyable. The Thai iced tea, flavor was on point. That's actually my first indicator when I try a Thai restaurant. The only thing that would've made it better is crushed ice. Real Thai spots usually use crushed ice. It melts perfectly and dilutes the sweetness just right. When you use block ice, the tea stays too sweet longer. Crushed ice gives it that smooth balance. Small detail, but that's how I gauge authenticity. Now to the honest part. The pad Thai was mediocre. It was lacking. I've definitely had better and I wouldn't recommend that dish. The spicy fried rice was okay, nothing special. The lad na gravy was way too thick, and instead of using Chinese broccoli, they used regular American broccoli. That's usually my second give when I rate a Thai restaurant. Traditional lad na uses Chinese broccoli. That swap changes the texture and the authenticity of the dish. They also didn't have the typical sauce that usually complements lad na, which I found strange for a Thai restaurant. The Thai fried rice was decent. Overall, I'm giving this place four stars. Here's my why. First, they didn't have common condiments that are pretty standard at most Thai restaurants. That threw me off. Second, the service. They weren't rude at all. Everyone was friendly. But the attentiveness just wasn't there, especially considering we placed a large order and the restaurant wasn't that busy. Third, the flavor and authenticity details. It just didn't hit the way traditional Thai food usually does. I've eaten Thai food all my life, especially in Thai Town in California and throughout Orange County, and the flavor profile here wasn't on that level. If someone asked me if I would return, probably not. But don't let my review stop you. Be your own judge. My goal isn't to hurt the business. It's feedback. Tighten up the service, dial in the flavor, stick closer to traditional ingredients, and it could easily level up to five stars for my taste. And yes, expectations vary. I've eaten a lot of Thai food, so I may be grading on a different curve. One more tip, if you're a party of six or more, double check your receipt. Gratuity was already included in ours and I didn't realize until I got back to where I was staying since I'm out of town. I had to call and have the extra tip removed. Just keeping it real.
